They missed a golden opportunity in not having Darcy taunt Anne about leaving Marcy behind in Newtopia.
"Do you remember that day, Anne? When you abandoned your childhood friend for a couple of frogs you'd known for a few months? That was when our plan was truly set into motion, when you left Marcy in the perfect state for Andrias to turn her into our pawn. So in a way, you made all of this possible. Thank you, Anne. We couldn't have done it without you."

Character: Anne Boonchuy (Calamity Version) from "Amphibia"
When Anne's time comes, the household is anything but quiet. Friends and family throughout the years extend their condolences to her spouses, but they seem a little less lively this time around. Sasha doesn't even greet the guests offering their sympathies, Marcy having to explain how heavy this is. Her own heart is hurting.
When it all dies down, there is a lingering loneliness in the house. Even a few months is not enough to beat back the awful feelings that the other two feel in Anne's absence.
The walls they've hung up pictures together of the three of them, just having fun throughout the years, it all seems pointless to have them still hung up. They were no longer the youthful adventurers then, now just old and gray. Marcy catches Sasha staring fondly at a portrait in the hallway, eyes red and shaking her head.
"Oh Annie... Wait for us there, okay?"
Her heart breaks a little hearing it, but Marcy feels the same. She can't help but feel the fear of the uncertainty if they'll meet when it is all said and done. Adjusting her glasses, she strolls up and places an embrace from behind.
"Dear. I still think I should have been the first to go." Her blonde-colored hair long since faded like the certainty in her voice.
"Oh hush now Sashy, you're only saying that beca-" A cough interrupts, Marcy taking a few seconds to push it down before resuming.
"Ah whoops. Anyways, I meant to say that you don't really mean that. You're only saying that because you miss her."
"Don't you?" Turning her attention to her wife, who seems to think for a moment.
The pause is palpable. "I do dear, I do."
Because who doesn't love a musical episode?
Happy three years to the gayest scene in amphibia
