*gets ignored by crush* Fuck It. fuck it. from now on Iβm living for ME. I am going to stay hydrated, moisturize, take care of myself and my body, work on loving myself first. I am going to focus on me and stop spending energy on others and getting caught up in gratuitous ideas of romance *crush texts back* They are The One

Tell me, O little bug,
Do you think too?
Of all the things,
With those three sets of legsβ
Youβd do.
Tell me, O little bug,
Do you wonder too?
How far you could soar
In the endless sky,
Without fearing you'd end up alone.
Tell me, O little bug,
Do you feel it too?
The unwonted anxiety
In your three-chambered heart,
When you wander
Where youβre not supposed to be.
Tell me, O little bug,
Do you get scared too?
When youβre caged
For someoneβs mirth,
Pretty sureβ
This is your last day since birth.
Tell me, O little bug,
How do you stay so strong?
So little, so frail, so smallβ
Yet braver than I,
A human, who dares
Only half as much as you.

This was supposed to just be a rough sketch, but then I started getting really invested in it.
I hadn't initially intended to include so many picture book characters, but the nostalgia was overwhelming. Does anyone remember the animated short films produced by Weston Woods? My local library used to have a bunch of them on the Scholastic VHS tapes from the late 90s. (I know some shorts were released on the Children's Circle VHS tapes back in the 80s (πΆ Come on along! Come on along! Join the caravan!), and some were packaged in Sammy's Story Shop in 2008.)

Yes but nobody expected them to be out and proud with their hatred, violence, lunacy, gullibility, and sheer stupidity.
