izuku as letting you fall asleep on his shoulder during field trips and when you're on the bus together. he'll let you have whichever seat you want — whether it be the window seat or the aisle, he's more than happy to let you have the one you want. if he sees you're tired, he'll let you know you can sleep, and offer his shoulder as a pillow with flaming red cheeks. when you get to your destination though, he doesn't have the heart to wake you up since you look way too peaceful.

denki as being way too overdramatic when it's cold, and saying “god, i wish someone would give me their jacket” while looking over at you expectantly, being way too obvious with his hints, that he wants you to give him your jacket. if you do give it to him he'll give it back the next day, while thanking you with a bright smile. when you wear it later on, you'll find a hastily folded paper that just has a messily drawn happy face inside in one of the pockets.

shoto as trying out new things with you — even if it turns out that both of you suck at it. you could say you want to try learning how to cook, and he'd try it out with you (as it turns out, he's very bad at it, but he tried). it isn't limited to just small things, he'd come with you even if you say you want to learn an entirely new thing that takes months to learn; something that's time consuming. if you tell him he doesn't have to come with you if he doesn't want to, he's shaking his head and is already searching for classes for whatever it is.

bakugou as reaching for your hand when he feels like you're having a bad day. he doesn't say anything, just squeezes your hand to reassure you since he knows he's not the best at comforting people, or just words in general. if you look at him and smile, genuinely, he knows you're alright, but if you look at him and smile, one he knows is fake, his mission for the day is to cheer you up, whether it be with passive aggressiveness or a try at actually comforting you with words, he just wants you happy again.

kirishima as always being there whenever you need him and knowing when something's wrong. if you have anything on your mind, he's one step ahead of you because right as you're about to send him a text, you recieve one from him saying 'what's wrong?' he doesn't pressure you to talk either, he just reassures you that he's there for you if you need to talk about it. he'll offer to come over to your house, even if it's 4am and his parents will give him hell about it in the morning.

hanta as making you playlists of the songs that remind him of you. he just randomly sends you a link to a spotify playlist he'd made, and ask you to tell him what you think about it. he'd be overjoyed if you say it's good and that you like it. he never really specifies that he made it especially for you, unless you ask him why he send it to you. he'd then say those are songs that remind him of you, and when you thank him, he's totally red behind his phone screen, although he'll never admit that.

“Baji’s right, we hope you know you could do better, Y/n”, it was a surprise to see Draken join, but it didn’t disappoint, and you laughed again at Shin’s shocked expression.

He walked over to the three kids, messing Mikey and Baji’s hair with his hands, and lightly tapping Draken’s forehead as he clicked his tongue.

The boys laughed as he explained to them how, ‘as literal babies with zero girlfriends in total, they were in no place to comment on his relationship, but he would gladly give them advice if they ever needed it’

The kids rolled their eyes, hiding their blushed cheeks when the older boy pointed out how they were only being little bitches to him because they were jealous because of how beautiful you were, and how they all liked you so much, before giving you a fast goodbye and running out of the garage.

“Those kids, I swear…”, he started speaking as he turned back to you, rolling his eyes with a grin in his lips. He always had that look on his eyes when they were around, like he wanted to make them laugh, to take care of them, “So young and so fucking annoy— mhpm!”.

You cut him off with a kiss, to which he answered by wrapping his arms around your waist, holding you close.

The last time you saw Kageyama was exactly one week ago. It had been around 11 p.m. and you were cleaning the dishes that you had used to reheat some leftovers. He had turned up to your apartment in an impeccably designed suit, with his hair gelled back in a way that made you look at him for a second too long.

You had to remind yourself that he’s just Kageyama Tobio. A family friend. A childhood friend.

After he left, you had pulled out old photographs of your school graduation to confirm that he’s just the same gawky yet endearing boy that you’ve known your whole life. Had he always been this dreamy? Or was this a recent development? Whatever it is, you silently hope that either his newfound charm or your tiny crush goes away as soon as possible.

The doorbell rings. Clad in a flannel pajama set and eagerly expecting your food delivery, you open the door. The man standing before you is holding food but it’s not the one you ordered.

“Kageyama,” you say, slightly taken aback. “What are you doing here?”

He makes an awkward attempt at a smile before holding out a nondescript paper bag. Standing on your tiptoes, you peer into it and notice the top of a pastry box.

You take the little bag from him and wave him in. Your apartment looks somewhat presentable, although you spot a few items out of place and quickly clear up the area as he stands like a statue near the counter. He looks absurdly out of place, a towering figure that's bending slightly to avoid the overhead kitchen lights.

He clears his throat before saying, “I got you something from the event I went to tonight.”

You hum, a curious lilt at the end.

He pulls out the square box. “It’s tiramisu. You like it, right?”

You laugh. “Yeah. But you don’t need to bring me stuff every time.”

The previous visit had been to drop off a complimentary wine bottle from that night’s event. You notice the half-filled bottle on the countertop and the image of his reddened wine-tipsy face from that night arises. Both of you had spent the night sipping on the expensive wine and chatting, before he left in a cab.

“But you like tiramisu so I thought I’d give it to you,” he frowns.

You raise your hands in surrender at his flawless logic and walk towards the kitchen cabinets. Pulling out a drawer, you find two spoons before shutting it with a swing of your hips.

You hold one out to him. He takes it with a quiet murmur of thanks. You’re suddenly aware of the unfamiliar domesticity of this situation. You don’t make any mention of it. The silence continues as you help yourself to the treat, and you realize that you don’t mind it at all.

After a few bites from both your sides, the box sits empty except for a few brown crumbs. You pick the box up and scoop the remaining crumbs, determined not to waste even a bit of the appetizing dessert.

Outside, the usual sound of traffic has died down. You realize that he’s watching you intently.

“Don’t stare, you weirdo.”

The tips of his ears match the shade of your pajamas. He doesn’t even attempt to defend himself.

You don’t think your heart can take any more of this casual hanging out. Maybe Kageyama just thinks of you as a good friend, and you’re the one who’s overthinking. You really hope that’s the case. Okay, maybe if he thought of you as a really good friend who’s moderately attractive, you’d be fine with that too.

“I should go. I’ve got practice early in the morning.” He shuffles his feet, glancing up at you with an unsure look in his eyes.

You ignore the disappointment building up in your chest and just nod. You barely register the fact that he’s discarded the pastry box and is now slipping on his shoes, until he’s ready by the door.

He waits for a beat. You feel like this is where you should say something.

He surprises you by speaking first.

“I can never figure out what to say. So, uh, thanks for not minding that.”

You let out a flustered chuckle. “That’s okay.”

He unlocks the door and steps outside but you stop him before he gets any further.

“You don’t have to bring anything next time.”

Kageyama shakes his head slowly. “It’s nice to have an excuse to see you.”

Your eyes widen. He can’t possibly know what he’s implicating, can he? He has unintentionally made your heart race numerous times, but this deliberate wording might cause your heart to accelerate at record speed.

“You don’t need an excuse,” you say, voice barely above a whisper.

His breath hitches. Before you can realize, he’s leaning towards you before he stops halfway. You tear your gaze away from his steel-blue eyes to look at his lips.

It takes only a second for you to close the gap, with Kageyama’s touch impossibly light against your jaw. The kiss is slow and tentative, characteristic of what you’d expect from him. Gentle touches and soft kisses to your lips cause a warmth to bloom all the way to your fingertips. You pull away to see him gazing down at you, flecks of adoration reflected in his dilated pupils.

You sigh into his neck. “I’ve wanted to do that for a while now.”

He sputters out a “Really?” before letting his arms come to rest at your waist.

You hear footsteps coming from the staircase down the hall and quickly detach yourself from his enticingly warm hold. A delivery boy comes into view. He takes one look at Kageyama’s imposing stature and hastily hands over the food to you before scampering away.

You giggle at the bewildered look on Kageyama’s face.

“I’ve kept you here for too long. You need to wake up early, right?”

He nods, lips still parted and glistening under the dim hallway light.

“Oh yeah. Um, goodnight.” He pecks your cheek and begins to walk away from your door.

You try not to laugh at how dazed he seems.

“Do you wanna come by tomorrow?” you pipe up. “If you’re free.”

He turns around while walking, so he’s now doing it backwards. You watch the stunned expression on his face dissipate into a sappy smile.

“Yeah, I’ll come over. And the night after that?”

“If you're free, then sure. And you don’t need an excuse to drop by.” You match the grin on his face.

“And I don’t need excuses,” he repeats with finality.

zhongli, also known as rex lapis or morax, has been the mafia leader of liyue after the death of his superior. it shocked everyone when they learned that his wife, guizhong, was killed, especially when she hasn’t borne a child.

of course, it shocked you as well. you never really knew her personally, but you’ve heard from others that she was a kindhearted and sweet woman despite her husband being the most feared.

and now, you were getting married to him.

“…what?”

“exactly as i’ve said.” xiao kept a stoic face as he looked at you, and you couldn’t help but feel intimidated by him. “your father had already agreed to this.”

of course, your father did. you know he would just do anything to form an alliance with rex lapis.

xiao, or the vigilant yaksha, is one of rex lapis’ trusted men. you knew him— he is notorious for killing people who got in the way of rex lapis. he is also always reserved, and would rather not get close to other people he isn’t familiar with.

and then, his eyes were on you. you could hear your heart thumping loudly.

he looked very… ethereal. like a god.

“i see,” he spoke, and even though you knew he had a deep voice, it still surprised you hearing it in person. it sent shivers down your spine. “you may go, ganyu. thank you.”

“yes, sir.”

and the woman stepped out of the office, only leaving you, your father, his trusted man xiao, and him.

“have a seat.” zhongli gestured at the two chairs, which you and your father sat on. then, he looked at you. “as you may have known by now, you’re getting married to me. your father, a good friend of mine, had already agreed to this. i would like to hear directly from you if you agree to this marriage. by agreeing, you will give me an heir which my former wife has failed to give me.”

you could almost feel your father’s fierce gaze. well, it’s not like you had any other choice.

“i agree.” you responded.

“very well. here’s the contract,” zhongli handed you a paper and while you read the contents, he said, “i suppose you know what happens if you break them, right?”

you were lost for words at first, so you stumbled over them as you mentally cursed at yourself for fucking up. “i— y-yes, of course.”

gulping, you grabbed the pen he had offered and signed on the paper. after that, he and your father had discussed more details about your marriage. you realized how lonely your life is going to be after the wedding ceremony.

and the thought hurts just as bad as you thought it would.

“oh— i’m sorry, i had to use the bathroom.” you answered, then turned to the woman beside him. “good evening, lady ningguang.”

she nodded with a smile. “good evening. congratulations on your marriage, by the way. i hope you both live happily.”

your husband thanked her with a smile, and it was your first time seeing it. his smile wasn’t big, it didn’t have much of an emotion but it made you wonder, could you bring a smile on his face, too?

“you’re nervous.” zhongli said as you both entered the hotel you’re staying at for the honeymoon. fuck, is it that obvious? or is it because he’s in the mafia— he has killed people, perhaps he knows how they are when they’re nervous.

“a bit.” you muttered. what a lie.

“we don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.”

your eyes widened, looking at him. “no— i want to. i’m just… scared. first times hurt, right?”

you could see the genuine look in his eyes. “have no worry. i will be gentle. i can’t deny that it will hurt since it’s your first time, but i won’t be rough with you.”

you gulped, and felt the hotness spreading through your cheeks. even though he had a stern voice, you felt… safe.

“o-okay. i trust you.”

and you swore your heart skipped a beat when you saw him smile. and no, it was different from the smile he gave to lady ningguang. it was definitely more genuine.

“good. well then,” he leaned into your ear, “shall we get started?”

Of all the decisions you’d made in your life, agreeing to go on a date with Shota Aizawa was turning out to be one of the better ones. Even after the awkward stiffness of the first few times going out disappeared, the man continued to be extremely gentle, patient, and kind. Many people looked for these exact traits in a partner, but they were even more important to you. With the experiences of your past like a constant shadow looming over you, even just convincing yourself to put yourself out there to try and meet new people was a difficult issue to overcome. So, finding a partner who could not only accept the fact that these traumatic things had happened to you but also help you move past them was even more unlikely.

Admittedly, you hadn’t shared the horrors from your younger years with your hero boyfriend yet, but you were starting to feel like you might be able to open up to him about it soon. The fear that he would lose interest in you and leave every time you shrugged off his affection had begun to ease away. He’d looked confused the first couple times you’d pushed him away, but not once had he looked annoyed or gotten angry. For a while, you had also worried that he would ask about your odd behavior, but that hadn’t happened yet either. Aizawa seemed to understand and respect your need for space and to move at a slower pace through the relationship.

“Today I will tell him.” You promise your reflection in the mirror one morning as you get ready for the day. Aizawa was scheduled to come over to have dinner with you after his patrol, and you thought it was as decent an opportunity as any to finally expose your dark secret.

You were feeling fairly confident about it until you turned on the TV right as the local newscaster launched into a story about a young child who’d apparently gone through a similar situation as yourself. As quickly as you can, you change the channel and try not to let the disturbing report trigger any of the memories that so often haunted you.

After convincing yourself that you’d be all right and that you just needed a distraction, you grab your keys and head to the supermarket to pick up the ingredients you’d need for dinner that evening. The harder you tried not to think about the child from the news though, the more it seemed to pop into your head. Soon, familiar images from your past began to consume your thoughts, making your stomach roll and skin itch uncomfortably.

“Dirty.” The word slips from your lips as you rush back home, avoiding the stares of people around you who you were convinced knew every single terrible detail of the memories currently rushing through your mind. You toss the groceries onto the ground once you make it back, more concerned with getting rid of the filthy feeling all over your body than putting the food away. You rush to the bathroom, eager to scrub every inch of yourself until the shame went away.

By the time Aizawa showed up, you felt more composed. You’d managed to put yourself back together after the shower and get all the groceries put away, hopefully leaving your boyfriend none the wiser about the rough day you’d had.

“Smells good in here,” He smiles as he comes in the door, slipping out of his shoes and tucking his feet into the pair of slippers you kept at the entrance for him. “Anything I can do to help?”

“N-no, I’ve got it.” You bite your bottom lip to try and keep your mind focused. The warmth and genuine kindness in his eyes made a wave of guilt wash over you, and your thoughts began to spiral. How long had you been with Aizawa now? How long had you been deceiving a good man? You shake your head, reminding yourself that you had every intention of telling him. Still, you couldn’t help but wonder if he deserved someone better than you… someone less… tainted. Without realizing, your hands had begun to shake and your breathing become labored.

“Hey, is everything all right?” Aizawa’s hand appears in front of you to take your hands into his but you rip out of his grasp and back away, hot tears finally springing forward and blurring your vision. The shock stays on his face for just a moment before morphing into concern as he whispers your name softly.

“No!” You shake your head. “You can’t. We can’t. I’m just… I’m sorry. You should be with … someone else. Someone better.” You were too upset to form coherent sentences, and Aizawa was clearly confused.

“What are you talking about?” He asks softly, “What brought this on?”

You couldn’t believe his patience and self-control. Why wasn’t he getting angry? You could see it in his posture that he was holding himself back from rushing over to you. Even now, he was giving you space and remaining calm. This wasn’t the way you wanted him to find out, but you found that you couldn’t keep the truth in any longer. With a choked sob, the truth spills from your lips. You explain as quickly as you can how your body had been violated against your will, and how that made you feel too disgusting to be with anyone, especially someone as good as him. Aizawa looked stunned as he took in your confession. Then, his eyes were also filling with tears as you told him sadly that you understood if he wanted to leave.

“I’m not leaving,” he states without hesitation, “not unless you tell me to.” Seeing you standing across the room with your shoulders hunched and shaking as you continued to cry was breaking his heart. “The only disgusting thing is the person who did those things to you.” He wipes the wetness from his own cheeks before taking a hesitant step forward. “Please, can I hold you?”

The nagging self-doubt was still in the back of your head, but you still manage to force your feet to shuffle forward until you’re close enough for Aizawa to pull you firmly into his arms and safely against his chest. “I’m so sorry that happened to you,” He murmurs softly while letting his hand rub slow circles on your back to try and calm you down. “And I would never leave you over something that wasn’t your fault.” The comforting words bring about a fresh wave of tears and you wrap your arms around his waist, fingers fisting into his shirt to keep him close. You stay embraced for a few minutes as your breathing calms down and you start to relax, Aizawa telling you how strong and brave you are the whole time.

“T-the food,” you mutter as the timer on the stove goes off. Reluctantly you pull away and turn to grab some oven mitts, but your hands are still shaking.

“Let me,” Aizawa offers and you let him take the dish from the oven and set it on the counter. Before you can say another word, he pulls you back into his arms and you let out a teary laugh.

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you all this sooner,” you nuzzle your face into his chest. “I just… I just couldn’t.”

“It’s okay,” Aizawa shakes his head. “You don’t have to be sorry about that. Please tell me I never did anything to make you uncomfortable.”

“No, you’re perfect.” You look up and smile at him so he knows how honest you’re being. “More than perfect.”

“I hope you know I feel the same way about you,” He says seriously.

“Even now?” You can’t help but ask.

“Even now.” He confirms with a nod of his head.

The confidence of his answer caused that small hope in your chest to bloom into true happiness. For so long, you’d hoped to find someone you were not only comfortable enough with to divulge the trauma of your past, but also someone you could trust enough to join in your journey of self-healing. Aizawa seemed to fit every category and then some with flying colors. Agreeing to go on that first date with him had definitely been one of the best decisions of your life.

Diluc had his back facing towards the tavern door when he heard it open.

“Hey, what can I get y-”

“You got into a fight with someone?!” he hears an all too familiar voice. But instead of the usual loving tone you had, your voice was a mixture of disbelief and panic. Diluc turns around, only to find you already behind the bar to inspect his exposed skin for any visible injuries. But you couldn’t find any, as indicated by the confused look you wore on your face.
