“What’s your passcode?” Mikey looks at you in intrigue, smirking when you realise that he’s holding your phone in his hand.

Now, you’re not too protective over your phone. But for some reason, the thought that Mikey wants to unlock it makes you nervous.

“It’s the day of our first date.” You respond timidly, swallowing the lump of nerves in your throat. You watch as he types in the code and flicks through your phone, a pleased smirk growing on his face after a few seconds.

“What’s this?” Mikey teasingly turns your phone screen towards you, displaying the background photo of him that you took while he was sleeping.

“I- I just thought you looked so handsome…” you trail off, fiddling with your fingers as you explain your choice of background.

“It’s funny cause I have you asleep as my background too.” Your head shoots up to meet your boyfriends cheeky expression, both of you bursting into laughter over how similar you really are.

“What you doing?” Draken curiously asks, taking you a little by surprise as he leans over the back of the sofa. He’s seen you scrolling through your phone from the other room and decided that he wanted your attention.

“Oh, nothing.” You crane you neck round to get a better look at your boyfriend, sending him a warm smile.

What you realise a second too late, however, is that Draken’s attention isn’t on you, but on your phone screen which you left unlocked.

You’ve never told him this, but you set your background to a picture of him. It’s one of your favourites, taken on your third date well over a year ago now. He’s sat on a park bench, looking at the scenery instead of the camera, a cheeky grin on his face. Everytime you look at the picture it brings back so many fond memories of when you first fell in love. That’s why you chose it as your background, so you could always remember that special date.

“You’re too cute.” Draken goofily smiles down at you, pressing a kiss to your cheek when you shyly turn your head away. You can feel your cheeks warming as they flair a deep crimson, you heart beating just that little bit faster from his kiss.

“Now it’s perfect.” baji assertively states, finally handing you back your phone.

A huge grin takes over your face when you lay eyes on your new background picture; one of you both smiling at each other, looking like two idiots in love.

Initially you’d had just a picture of baji on his own as your background. It was a selfie that he had taken and you thought he looked so sweet and handsome that you had saved it and made it your background screen.

When baji saw your choice of background, however, he wasn’t satisfied. Although he loved that it was a picture of him, he wanted something more personal to take its place. A picture only you had.

“It really is.” You beam up at your boyfriend in responce, laughing heartily when he pulls you into a warm hug and squishes you against his chest a little too tightly.

“It’s not cute, it’s embarrassing.” Chifuyu whines like a child.

Finding out that the background on your phone is an embarrassing picture of him made your boyfriend complain non stop in an attempt to get you to change it. But unluckily for Chifuyu you’re not budging in the slightest.

“Chifuyu who’s gonna even see it besides me?” You flatly state, unimpressed with his relentless pleaing.

“But what if one of your friends or cousin sees it while they are with you, or you lose your phone.” He persuades, though you only shake your head in responce, rolling your eyes playfully.

“You wanna know why that picture of you is my background?” Chifuyu nods, still pouting at you. “Because it’s real. It’s who you are, my dorky, loveable boyfriend.” You caress his cheek affectionately, watching as Chifuyu tries to hide the smile that grows on his face.

“Ok… I guess you can keep it then.” He dramatically sighs, pulling you into his embrace and hiding his face in the crook of your neck.

“That’s a little bit frightening.” Mitsuya snickers as he looks over your shoulder while you are on your phone. You look up at him to see his amused smirk, letting out a laugh upon the realisation that he’s never seen your background before.

It’s an edited picture of him, which you of course made it a meme you found it so funny you and made your background… just so you could look at it and laugh now and again.

“It is a little, but it’s funny.” You join in, watching as Mitsuya simply shakes his head at you in return, a wide smile on his face.

“You have the strangest sense of humour, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.” He comments adoringly.

“I like the one of us together better.” kazutora points to the picture of you smiling together on your camera roll.

You were deciding on what photo to make your new background and your nosey boyfriend was insistent on a particular photo of you both because he feels he’s not embarrassing or awkward in that one.

“But you’re always embarrassing and awkward.” You cheekily smirk, bursting into laughter when Kazutora deadpans you.

“Come on, be serious.” He encourages, tapping on his choice of picture to enlarge it.

“But it’s what I love about you… we’re awkward together!” You plea up at Kazutora, trying to get him to see the funny side at least. And it doesn’t take long before he cracks a smile, both of you laughing as you set your background picture to the one that captured you both off guard.

“Really, that’s your background?” Ran sasses, successfully gaining your attention. He’d been acting off with you all day and you’re not sure why. You know he’s stressed with things so you’ve been letting his rudeness slide, but now it’s starting to upset you. There’s only so long you can go before you bite back.

Your background just so happens to be a picture of you together from your recent holiday, back when you both were happy and relaxed and your boyfriend wasn’t constantly in a bad mood.

“I know right, instead of having a picture of my boyfriend I should change it to something that doesn’t upset me.” Ran stops in his tracks upon hearing your comment, spinning around on his feet to face you, letting out a huff.

“And what’s that supposed to mean?” He interrogates, slowly taking a few steps towards you.

“What it means is that my boyfriend has been nothing but rude to me all day for no apparent reason.” You state, trying to keep a straight face. But that doesn’t stop Ran for seeing your eyes well up with tears, his hard expression instantly falling off his face and his defensive attitude fading.

“(Y/N) I’m sorry. I love that I’m your background, really.” Ran apologises with wide eyes, nodding his head eagerly to show you he truly means it. “I’ve just got so much going on at the moment, I’m exhausted.” He continues, leaning into you when you cuddle into his side.

“Good because I didn’t want to have to change it.” You chuckle, cuddling yourself tighter into his embrace.

Rindo had the biggest grin on his face when you entered the room, your phone in his hand as he stared at the smiling photo of him as your background.

“I didn’t know I was your background.” You giggle at how happy your boyfriend is because of this.

“Of course you are.” You state like it’s no big deal, that it’s just a causual thing that most couples do.

“Well I love it.” Rindo wraps his arm around your shoulder, pressing a quick kiss to your cheek. “But you know what I’d love even more…” he trails off, sending you a devilish grin as you turn to face him.

“What.” You cautiously question, not sure if you want to know the answer or not.

“If you’re background was that embarrassing picture of you when you were drunk.” He darkly chuckles. “We can bet on it, if you lose then you’ll change your background.” Rindo proposes.

“I’m willing to take that risk.” You agree, matching your boyfriends playfully challenging expression.

“Too bad you’re not mine…” koko quickly comments before rushing away from you.

“koko!” You shout after him in warning, telling him to get back to you though your tone.

It all started when he snatched your phone out of your hands and stumbled upon your background picture of him. Now, koko is in a particularly playful mood today, so his child like tormenting was all in good nature, but also very annoying after a while.

You cross your arms as you sulk, refusing to get out of your comfy seat to chase after him. You don’t even acknowledge your boyfriend when he enters the room again and takes a seat beside you, holding his phone in front of you.

“What did you just do.” You finally turn to face him when you hear him giggle as he taps away on his phone.

“I just got a new background.” He smirks, turning the screen around to reveal a picture of you sulking away. “Now we’re even.” He cheekily comments, holding his phone out of reach when you make a lunge to try and grab it out of his hand.

“What is that?” Inui shyly smiles at you as he leans into your side to get a better look at your phone.

“It’s you silly.” You laugh, finding his reaction very amusing. He simply rolls his eyes in responce.

Inui has just become aware of your background photo, a picture of him smiling cheesily. You just thought he looked so adorable, you couldn’t not put it as your background so you could look at it all day.

“Do you not like it?” You hold back your smirk, your gaze flicking up to meet Inui’s.

“No! I mean, if you like it, then I like it too.” He nods, smiling brightly back at you.

You honestly don’t know how he manages to be so completely adorable, but it makes your heart skip a beat every time.

“I’m glad.” You coo, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

“Because couples need to have matching backgrounds.” Izana states like it’s a well known fact, following you around relentlessly.

He’d been trying to get you to take some couple pictures with him, just so you could have the same background on your phone. But you are reluctant, already liking the picture you have of him.

“But I don’t want to change mine.” You roll your eyes feigning annoyance. “And besides, couple photos are forced and cringey.” You comment, knowing fully well it will set your boyfriend off on a rant.

“It’s not cringey it’s cute!” Izana complain, rushing to catch up to you as you walk away. “(Y/N)! Come back.” He calls out through a whine, chasing after you desperately while you are a giggling mess.

✧ MIDORIYA IZUKU. ⤷ on the cheek !! we all know deku is Shy Boi™, so i feel like the level of intimacy in your relationship started from hand holding, to hugs, then cheek kisses, then on the lips. but i’d say that kisses on the cheek are his fave ones. when you see each other, as a casual greeting, and as an expression of love. at first, he was very, very shy (and hesitant) about giving them, but he absolutely loves getting them from you (even tho he was very flustered and red at first) !! by now, it's a common thing for the both of you, he’s used to it. but oh, dear, will it never grow old.

I'm in need of a bit of a pick me up, so returning to my roots of stupid headcanon lists with a romantic twist-ish... <33 I'll get to important stuff soon but I am just so tired these days. I hope it's okay have a nice day everyone :(( 🌸

Prompt: It appears you have climbed up a tree but aren't sure how to get back down. A scary situation, indeed. Don't worry, though! Your hero has arrived to save you! Just jump, and they'll catch you! ...Maybe.

Genre: Nonsense + sprinkles of fluff

Including: Kaeya, Xiao, Bennett, Tartaglia, Diluc, Arataki Itto, Scaramouche

Warning: You're jumping off a tree, mentions of injury, Scaramouche is not nice

Kaeya takes the opportunity to be a prince. He catches you bridal style and says something corny about how in love with him you must be. He walks away but doesn't put you down. Instead, striking up a conversation about why you were in that tree in the first place.

Xiao probably gives you a heart attack. You're quick to listen when he tells you to jump, knowing Xiao would never let you get hurt. However, instead of just standing like a normal person, he uses his elemental skill, teleporting and dashing with you seconds before you hit the ground. Physically, you are unharmed. So, mission success?

Bennett tries his best. When you jump for him, he catches you. ...Mostly. He isn't steady enough, and your sudden added weight causes him to fall. His head hits the ground, and he's out cold for a few minutes. You end up carrying him home.

Tartaglia is overconfident. "Don't worry, babe!" he repeatedly insists, "I've got this!" You look down at him. His stance is perfect, and his arms are outstretched. You jump, shutting your eyes. "I've got you! I've got you!" he says, and you collide with the earth a yard away.

Diluc is a silent hero. He catches you just fine but isn't sure what to do afterward. He does not hold people very often, and it is the catalyst for some embarrassing thoughts. He sets you down, and you thank him. He contemplates trying his luck but decides against it, instead advising you to always bring a ladder.

Arataki Itto is way too strong. He rips the tree out of the ground He plucks you right out of the air as you fall, tosses you over his shoulder like a ragdoll, and simply keeps walking wherever he was headed before this, leaving you dazed and confused.

Scaramouche promises he'll catch you. You have your reservations, but he implores you to trust him. Finally, you cave to his reassurance, and you jump. Scaramouche immediately turns to go home, and you hurt your leg.

AYATO would definitely and absolutely go with a nickname that lowkey gets on your nerves. he somehow gets a kick out of the exasperated sigh that leaves your mouth whenever the irritating endearment is caught by your ears. things like “squirrel” and “sweetcakes” are definitely his favourites because whenever he’s stressed out from all his works as a clan head and the yashiro commisioner, he calls you out in these cringey af names as loud as he can, so loud that all the seven nations and celestia might hear. when you asked him how in the name of the archons did he come up with it, he just said that your cheeks looked like a squirrel’s when you were stuffing them with the cake he bought for you and boy when i say that you get the worst case of cringey secondhand embarrasment upon yourself whenever he says it, but you can’t blame him, your reaction is too adorable! other times, however, when you’re not in the best of moods or had had a very exhausting day or when the tiredness gets the very best of him, he’d put his own mischief aside and engulf you in a very soothing embrace, whispering all sorts of comfort to you in the most gentle possible voice whilst calling you “my darling” and never once did you leave his embrace with any spot of negativity in you.

“how do you do today, my fair squirrel? WAIT COME BACK I’LL STOP CALLING YOU THAT!!”

“hm…? ah… it’s you, darling. come, the night is still young… would you care for some tea? it seems that you have much to tell… pardon? a hug? you know that you never need ask, right?”

CHILDE would go ahead and use something that lets every person in a 5000 mile radius know that you’re taken. give or take, he’d be lowkey possessive and being honestly, it either ends up with you getting a stomach spasm with how you laughed or your cheeks feeling like every pyro vision had been pressed against them. say you’re out shopping with him (and you confirm that this happens more times than is legal) and some person looks at you any way that would be classified as “funny” or “inappropriate” in his mindest, or archons forbid, if they try and to get touchy feely with you and you yourself don’t like it, he would be behind or beside you faster than you’d seen paimon dashing for food. then, he’d casually wrap an arm around your waist or across your shoulders and look in the other direction while saying in the clearest possible voice, “doesn’t that shop make weapons? i was thinking of getting my arrows sharpened. c'mon, sweetheart, let’s check it out. and you were thinking of getting a sword, weren’t you? i think that shop has a good variety, babe.” or something like that. he’d always make sure to get at least three or five nicknames in. hey, don’t blame him. he knows you’re perfect, and he doesn’t want to be sharing that with anyone. he also likes to call you “partner” when you both are sparring (you cannot tell me that you don’t spar when being with this man right here istg). it makes him feel satisfied and complete. and besides, it’s most fitting for someone who is you! you’ve been with him and beside him through the hardest possible things, agreeing to do basically everything he pleads you to (not that you didn’t enjoy the shenanigans he got up to with you), that makes you both partners-in-crime and partners-for-life, doesn’t it?

“come on, partner, that all you got?! you’re making this too easy, wanna lose the bet and kiss me that bad, huh? oh yeah? put your money where your mouth is, let’s how long you’ll last, sweetie.”

DILUC . thinks that your name is the most beautiful and endearing thing that will ever leave his mouth, even if he’d never let kaeya poke into his opinions on you, who manages to capture the eye and heart of the stoic red haired man. more often than not at all, he’ll call you “love,” but that will be behind closed doors and when you’re both alone with each other. it’s not that he’s embarrased and ashamed is something he will never ever be when he’s with you. quite the opposite, actually. he cherishes you, he loves you, because the feeling of warmth, of home, of gentle and accepting love, he didn’t realise how much he needed it, how much he craved it until you came into his life. that’s exactly the reason why he doesn’t quite like a nickname, he just thinks that your name, the name of the person whom he could show his worst to and not have to have his true emotions sealed away behind that placid mask of gentlemanly indifference with, is the very perfect one for you, there’s no other title, or alias or reference that can match up to that. it’s a very beautiful name, and somehow rolls of his tongue just right. whenever he thinks of it, your bright grinning face over some dessert or your embarrased sputtering when he gifts you something that you’d consider off the charts expensive flashes through his mind, leaving the streets of mondstadt gawking at the sight of the diluc ragnvindr of dawn winery smiling, was the world to end tomorrow?

“hm..? what is it? your hands are cold… well, that’s what you get for not listening to me when i asked you to go bring a pair of gloves because it would be cold tonight, [name]. mine will be too big for you, well… would you like to hold my hand, then?”

ZHONGLI stands on the very pinnacle of being a gentleman and he makes sure to let you know how precious and irreplaceable you are to him, and so the a quite frequent yet heart-touching nickname he calls you is “beloved.” it became a very frequent word to leave his mouth, so much so that it had become instinct for him to refer to you as such. he completely and utterly adores your name, don’t get it wrong, he loves how aesthete it is and how easily it slips off of his tongue, but calling you his “beloved” seems so much more fitting to just show how much you meant to him, who had spent millenia and after millenia alone and constantly loosing dear people. more often than not, though, you might catch him calling you “dearest.” the sheer affection that the name comes laced in never fails to make your heart and brain go haywire. you didn’t know how simple words that meant very little when said by other people would become one of the best things you ever would look forward to hearing when it came from him. one of the particular moments he remembers that relate to his was when he had a purposeful slip of tongue while you both were travelling across the minlin region, just for a getaway from the busy life you both lived. you were just about to fall into slumber’s welcoming arms, when he leant over and unexpectedly whispered into your goddamn ear “sweet dreams to you, my fairest.” and zhongli himself didn’t know what he found more adorable, your aflamed visage or your 2 minute late reaction.

“good afternoon, beloved, should we head to xinyue kiosk for lunch? i’ve heard they’ve come out with a particularly interesting dish that has been inspired from inazuman cuisine. hm? oh… mora… it seems i… forgot to take that factor into account.”

“put those papers away, dearest. your work ethic will show no signs of improvement unless you get adequate rest. shall i brew you some tea?”

જ HANMA you were lying against his chest as you both lay in bed, just enjoying spending the night with each other until you decided to scoot away from him with a sigh. “where do you think you’re goin’, baby?” he hums, casting you a side glance as you continue to scroll through your phone, ignoring his question. “oh? kay then.” he drawls, but just when you think he’s dropped it you feel him roll on-top of you. hovering over your figure with a sigh as he narrows his eyes teasingly down at you, and the new close proximity has you almost leaning to close the distance. but instead his lips stretch into a smirk before he nuzzles his face into your cheek with a airy laugh, keeping you trapped under him as you playfully slap him away “what’s wrong, babe? thought you were leaving, heh~” chuckling as you wriggle under him until he rolls over into his previous position again, pulling you back against his chest “aha~ better.”

જ MIKEY you were cuddled against his shoulder while you both watched a movie on the couch, just enjoying eachothers company until you eventually begin to move closer to the other side, but the loss of warmth causes your boyfriend’s brows to furrow. “where you going?” mikey asks, words spoken through a slight pout. you just shrug a little at the question, causing him to huff as he reaches over to gently poke at your cheek to press the question. “hey, quit ignoring me.” “just getting comfortable.” “hmph. thats mean.” he grumbles under his breath, crossing his arms and returning his attention to the movie as if to act like it doesn’t bother him. he will literally just silently pout to himself until you cuddle up to him again so just do it because he does the cutest little content sigh after.

Well starting off, he’s an exceptional teacher, very gentle and patient. Many students have definitely lit up at his youthful and handsome looks, before noticing the ring adorning his finger.

He’s very loved by his students, but they all have the habit of making him swerve from the actual topic sometimes. Beforehand, he usually went on about historical events and all the details he has somehow memorised, sometimes even bringing his own pictures of certain locations as source material.

He’s always dressed nicely, either a vest and a crisp shirt with dress pants and leather shoes, a nice dress shirt or a simple sweatshirt. But the one thing that makes it really special, something that his students don’t know, is that you actually dress him in the morning sometimes.

Every morning, when he wakes up and has basked in your presence for at least ten minutes you two wash up in the bathroom and get ready. Small kisses exchanged and giggly smiles adorning your faces.

He thinks it’s adorable when you stand before him, tongue sticking out in concentration when you tie his necktie, adjusting it before kissing his cheek lightly to seal the deal. Your lover really can’t help but tug you back into his arms to nudge his nose with yours.

Now the thing is that everyone knew that their very simpable teacher is married, but no one had ever seen you and some can’t stop but wonder about you.

One time you showed up because you noticed that your love had forgotten his phone and lunch at home because of a rushed morning.

DILUC

both you and diluc were just strolling around mondstadt with a comfortable silence until you decided to ask the question you've been wanting to ask. "what would you do if i die?" you asked, gaining diluc's attention. you saw him getting surprised from the corner of your eyes. but you stared at him instead, waiting for his answer.

"i'm not answering that question." he replied before walking away from you, leaving you behind. your eyebrows twitched at his response as you follow him along, keeping up your pace to be even with him. "that's not fair, diluc." you huffed, crossing your arms, not sparing a glance at him.

"no, you are not fair. why would you ask something like that? i don't want to lose you, y/n. stop playing around with jokes like that." he argued, his voice coming out harsher than what he had expected. his sudden tone made you surprised. seeing your reactions, diluc sighed and pulled you into a hug.

"i'm sorry for bursting out, but please don't joke around like that."

XIAO

"xiao, what would you do if i die?" you called out. you were currently alone in wangshu inn, waiting for xiao to come. until you decided to call him instead since it seemed like he's not coming anytime soon. right after you asked the question, xiao appeared in front of you.

he looked at you up and down, checking around if there might be something bothering you or if you're hurt anywhere. "well, hi. i was waiting for you." you said, acting like you didn't just ask something so serious. xiao stared at you with his blank face.

"don't ask something like that, i hate it." he muttered, his eyes looking everywhere but you. you smile lightly looking at him. "i'm sorry, love. it was supposed to be a joke, forgive me, yeah?" you whispered, taking one of is hand into yours. "yeah whatever, i got this for you. i struggeled while choosing it, that's why i'm late." he mumbles, giving you a pretty hairpin he bought in liyue earlier.

ZHONGLI

"dear, are you busy?" you peeked through the door of zhongli's office. hearing your voice shifted his attention from his paperworks to you. "hm? i'm not. do you need anything, love?" he asked, his hand motioning for you to come closer. "nothing! i was pretty bored so i decided to come here and look at this— i brought you lunch!"

zhongli smiled looking at you, taking a chair for you to sit beside him. he waited for you to sit on the chair and gave you a kiss once you sit. "thank you darling." he said, opening the lunch box that you've brought for him. you both ate in silence, only having small conversations here and there. until you asked something to break the silence.

"what would you do if i die?" you asked casually. zhongli coughed once you finished your sentence. you hurriedly took a glass of water and hand it to him. "hey, are you okay? i'm sorry, i shouldn't have asked you that kind of question when you're eating." you muttered, slightly embarrased.

once zhongli had calmed down, he hold your hand and caressed your hand with his thumb. "is something bothering you? please tell me." he questioned. "love, it's nothing! it's supposed to be a joke i guess, i'm sorry if i made you worried." you explained. he let out a relieved sigh and gave you a hug.
