🖤 Sensory safe food for kiddos 🤍

Note: My little brother has sensory processing disorder and has trouble eating certain foods. He has a massive gag reflex when it comes to foods he can't handle the texture or taste of. A little trick we do is we make sure he stands over a garbage can and we have a big cup of tee ready for him. You can do this too but with any drink that would help you wash out your mouth. Also a little hint, Milk helps wash out spicy things better than water does.

🖤Crunchy/Chewier Foods

-Beef or turkey jerky

-Pretzels

-Flavored or buttery crackers

-Cheese crackers

-Animal crackers

-Apple slices

-Chips: sweet potato or veggie straws

-Carrot sticks or baby carrots

-Celery sticks (ants on a log)

-Snap peas

-Dried banana chips

-Nuts: almonds, peanuts, walnuts, cashews

-Trail mix with nuts, seeds and dried fruit

-Granola: dry with yogurt or fruit

-Dried fruits: raisins or cranberries

- A pickle wrapped in a deli meat: Can add cheese if wanted

🖤 Soft/Smoother Foods

-Bananas

-Peanut butter & jelly sandwich

-Yogurt tubes or cups

-Applesauce

-Mashed potatoes

-Mashed sweet potatoes

Smoothies

-Oatmeal with cooked, soft fruit

-Cottage cheese

- Pudding

- Macaroni and cheese

-Refried beans with some melted, shredded cheese

-Chicken salad

-Egg salad

I love secondhand plushies! I love going to thrift stores and finding new friends! I love taking them home and giving them baths and brushouts! I love adopting already loved plushies from other folks' collections online! I love loving them again! I love brushing out their mats, cleaning their eyes, fixing their stuffing, and just generally bringing life back into a friend! I love bringing home plushies that have sat on shelves for years, collecting dust and finally loving them! I love saving the environment by not buying new and encouraging the production of more when we already have everything we need! I love secondhand plushies!!!
