This coming APRIL, it’s all up to you for NCT-WRITERS will be hosting a CORPORATE themed event where our boys can have different professions. Although, we know that being an idol is also a profession but we know you can come up with something more creative!

Every member should be hired to a company or they could be the one hiring, if that’s what the writer wants. But the pairing can be very flexible, we won’t stop you for putting CEO Member x CEO Reader.

You can write for a member FOR AS MANY AS YOU WANT, just make sure you can meet the deadline on the provided calendar.

This event is MEMBER EXCLUSIVE

The event will take place from APRIL 1st to 23rd, and each one of these 23 days will have a scheduled NCT member assigned to it. The writer for a particular member will post their story on the set dates. For example, if you chose Jisung as your chosen member, and his OFFICE SCHEDULE is on April 1, you will have to post your work on April 1.

(Please look carefully at the member’s surname and the first letter of their name.)

IF YOU WISH TO CLAIM A MEMBER(S),

Send an ask to the network with this format: “I want to write for *insert member(s) here + your chosen profession(s)” then wait for the confirmation message from the Admin in charge. Example: - “Hi NCT-WRITERS, I would like to write for Jaehyun as a Doctor” - “Hi NCT-WRITERS, I would like to write for: Teacher Johnny, Pilot Kun, Florist Taeyong”

WHAT SHOULD I WRITE?

Drabbles, timestamps, oneshots are allowed. However, all works should have a minimum of 500 words.  

All genres are allowed, even smut. However smut is only allowed if you’re legal of age.  Sungchan, Shotaro, and Chenle can have suggestive themes but strictly no smut or suggestive themes for Jisung.

Please see to it that your work is in accordance with the theme.

“Thoughts on leather jackets?”

Yeeun hoists herself onto the scratched counter of the tiny bathroom, cheap neon strips of flashing lights pasted around the edges of the ceiling and the booming bass of the music barely muffled by the closed door. She swings her legs, the heels of her boots banging lightly against the cabinet beneath her.

“They’re cute. Why? Don’t you already have like, three of them?” Your fingers curl around the lip gloss your best friend offers to you. You thank her before you lean forward, uncapping the makeup and spreading an even, glossy coat over your lips.

“Not on me!” She taps her manicured fingers against her thigh rhythmically. “Actually, maybe on me. There’s a really good sale going on at Madewell right now. Maybe I’ll get one.”

“Another night of drunk retail therapy?” You pucker your lips, angling your face slightly to check that you had applied enough of the shimmery gloss. You quickly adjust the satin white crop top you have on that makes your boobs look phenomenal. Perfect. It’s the first party of your final year at university, and you would very much like to start it off with a bang and leave with a cute guy tonight.

“Sober me will thank me tomorrow.” She waves her hand dismissively before taking back the gloss from you and shoving it unceremoniously into her bra (because one hand holding a purse means one less hand holding a drink) before pushing herself off from her counter perch. “Anyway, you’re missing the point! What do you think of boys in leather jackets?”

You narrow your eyes at her, scrutinizing her fidgeting figure through the mirror. “Alright, spill it. Who’s this about?”

“I overheard Mark telling Yukhei that Jeno was asking about you.”

You temporarily pause in place, horror flashbacks already playing like a montage at the mention of him, before facing your friend, who’s already looking at you expectantly. “Did he say why?”

“Who knows? He started throwing up on Yukhei’s shoes, so I had to move away from the target zone.”

You wince at that. Poor Mark was always a lightweight and yet, he always accepts whatever drink Donghyuck hands him. And the latter always mixes concoctions with cheap vodka making up at least 40% of the contents.

“Isn’t this exciting though? The Lee Jeno is interested in you,” she squeals, grabbing onto your arm excitedly.

“I’ve been there. Freshman year, two minutes and beard burn. Literally, the worst experience of my life. Zero out of ten, no stars on Yelp, would swipe left on Tinder, maybe even report him to save other people from the horror.”

I get so angry hearing and reading about what's happening in Palestine right now. I don't even know what to do and it all feels hopeless 😔

The situation around Sheikh Jarrah should make everyone angry. For those of you who might not know what’ going on here’s a brief breakdown:

Indigenous Palestinian residents of Sheikh Jarrah, for a very long time, have been fighting lengthy legal battles in Israeli courts against eviction orders which aim to replace these indigenous people with illegal Israeli settlers. 

On May 7th, the illegal Israeli settlers along with courts (an apparatus of Israel’s apartheid regime) have started a campaign to illegally take over the home’s of Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah. These families were given until today (May 10th, 2021) to “reach an agreement” with the occupiers. This obviously prompted protests. The IDF has also brutally responded to these protests. Now the world is watching and global protests have started happening.

Some important things to note:

-Sheikh Jarrah belongs to the Palestinian families. It is part of the occupied Palestinian territory, and therefore any Israeli settler presence in it amounts to a war crime under international law. 

-There has been a mountain of UN Security Council resolutions demanding that Israel withdraw from East Jerusalem which Israel continues to ignore.

-This is ethnic cleansing

I know you feel hopeless but here’s what we can do:

-Support BDS (Boycott, Divestments, Sanctions) movements (What”s BDS?) Boycott Israeli products from their colonial settlements

-Understand whats happening in Palestine and the crimes of apartheid/persecution being committed by Israel. (Check out this great report by HRW on the situation) After getting an understanding. SPREAD AWARENESS. Especially in the US. This is key to combatting Evangelical propaganda and Israeli lobbyists. Do this through social media.

-Contact your local reps and pressure them to stop giving Israel military funding or any form of financial support. Fight against zionist lobbyists such as AIPAC or Christians United for Israel.

-Donate if you can. Here’s a few links. If you can add more (reputable) donation links to this, I ask that you please do.
