i think many people may not have been able to shift because when attempting they subconsciously start checking the physical plane. "are my surroundings changing? am i in my dr room? am i feeling any symptoms?"
this action just shows that you don't trust yourself, that you still don't believe that shifting is within you.
allow me to explain:
we have been shifting ever since we got out of our mothers' wombs. existing = shifting. the difference is that now you're aware of that, but essentially, you HAVE shifted before. countless times. shifting IS within you.
so, why is that, when attempting, your first instinct is to check your surroundings & look for symptoms? in other words, look for any sort of reassurance that you are shifting. and then panic and feel discouraged when you don't find it.
that's the problem. you have been shifting for years and years now, every decision you made was a shift. AND, whenever you made a decision, you didn't look for reassurance or proof of that decision happening, did you?
moving your consciousness to an alternative reality is the same, it's a decision. you just need to trust yourself, because you know you've done it before, so why wouldn't you be able to do it now?
when you trust yourself, you're letting your mind simply step into something that has always existed. like when your eyes blink without you questioning it. when you're walking and your legs are moving without you questioning it. you re letting it know it's a decision. you're certain of it. there's no "why?" or "how?", there's no "proof" either.
so, next time you attempt, lay down or whatever, and KNOW you are in your desired reality. just let go. let your mind fully acknowledge that you are there. trust yourself by simply knowing.
that's it. that's literally all you need.

↳ #07 ~ You reach into a pocket/drawer/bag, and pull out something you don’t remember putting there—a ticket, a childhood junk, a silly note from your past self. And somehow, at this moment, it means everything.
↳ #08 ~ A random compliment, out of nowhere, from someone you’ll never see again. But it’s not about your appearance, anything obvious—it’s something so oddly specific, so you, that for a second, you wonder if they knew you in another life.
˖⋆࿐໋ Change is Scary
Raise your hand if you’ve ever been on the verge of shifting and right as you’re about to get there…you completely back out.
Shifting is scary.
Completely removing ourselves from everything we’ve ever known and changing our belief system to reflect the idea of living multiple lives is scary.
And I'm sorry to say that that might always be the case.
Every single time I go to shift I’m a bit scared, it’s turned into hesitance and nervousness, but they’re all in the same family.
I had to learn to manage it! I’d like to help you learn how to as well.
ᯓ★Be honest with yourself. don’t tell yourself this is all sunshine and rainbows. Talk yourself through what it is you’re going to do and what it is that will occur. Not just shifting attempt wise, but what will happen in your DR as well.
ᯓ★I am a meditation hater. Not hater but I find focusing a bit difficult. But getting into a relaxed state to affirm that through the process you’ll be safe, protected, and comforted has been a great help. Affirming that you’re ready and understand what it is you’re about to experience can be a great help as well.
Ex. "I am comfortable with the idea of change; I am comfortable with everything change brings." ty @helech <3
ᯓ★Educate yourself! Learn about what it is you’re experiencing! Figuring out that the thing freaking you out so much is just a symptom of falling asleep will do so much to ease your mind or seeing how other people have felt once they’ve made it to their dr can aid that feeling of uncertainty as well!
ᯓ★Talk about it! Talk about your fears, talk about the changes you’ll experience it, talk about what it’s like in your dr! Allow yourself to become familiar with what it is you will expect.
ᯓ★Lastly, keep going. Push yourself into doing the things that scare you. The more familiar you become with them the less they’ll stop you in the future.
We all have the same goal for you and that is for you to make it to the place you yearn to be! While there’s nothing wrong with being scared, I’d hate to watch you sit around and allow it to stop you. There’s nothing you can’t do to overcome any feelings. Now please go shift.

Another question I have for shifters:
How do you guys feel about dating/being with different people in different realities. (Again not saying anything is right/wrong, I just really want to hear other people’s perspectives on different things regarding shifting)
Like for the people that do have different s/o, is it hard to manage? Would you ever tell any of your s/o about shifting and being with other people? And if you think that it’s wrong, I would like to know why. (Along with anything else someone might want to share about this topic)
why do i keep dreaming of shifting ? what does it mean
i’ve always had shifting related dreams. the last couple of months they’ve been pretty extreme though ( also a couple of months ago i switched what my main DR was ). i’ve made multiple post asking the same question or something similar, but i still don’t know…
often i will have a dream and sometimes i will just try to shift ( on multiple occasions i have not even been lucid ). i will have multiple dreams of thinking i’ve shifted. i will have DR related dreams, dreams ab my s/o… dreams where some random person in my dream talks about it to me.
i mean last night there was a dream where a person from my DR was in it, it kinda turned into a nightmare and they were doing evil things i guess (?) and i had a thought in the dream that i need to script this out ?
i genuinely don’t know what to think of this anymore. my subconscious is always doing this, so if anyone who has a better understanding of any of this wants to share any advice or perspectives pls do !!!
there’s only so many times you can read about how you’re journey is done and it’s already yours before you start taking imagination seriously.

fear of shifting or an extinction burst in disguise?
a shay theory
let’s talk about fear—not just any fear, but that sudden wave of anxiety, doubt, or hesitation that creeps in right before or during your shifting attempts. when your heart begins to race or you can no longer breathe or when you feel right at the precipice of shifting but something is holding you back… what if that fear isn’t actually a roadblock, but a sign?
this ties into something called an extinction burst—a concept in psychology that happens when an old habit or pattern is about to be replaced by a new one. right before the shift happens (in both behavior and consciousness), the old pattern fights to stay in place. it flares up, intensifies, and does everything it can to keep things the same.
so let’s relate this to shifting:
if you’ve been conditioned to believe that shifting is difficult, impossible, or even scary, your subconscious has built a pattern around that belief. and when you start genuinely stepping into the mindset that shifting is natural, easy, and happening now, that old belief doesn’t just disappear—it pushes back.
this resistance often shows up as:
sudden intrusive thoughts about shifting being dangerous or “not real”
feeling like something is “stopping” you
an overwhelming fear right before or as you attempt
irrational anxiety about what will happen if you succeed
this fear isn’t a sign to stop—it’s a sign to keep going. your subconscious is reacting because it senses change, and change feels like a threat to the old belief system. but if you push through, the fear loses power, and the new belief (that shifting is natural and innate) takes its place.
how to navigate the extinction burst:
understand this fear is not real danger. it’s the old pattern trying to cling on before it fades away.
instead of resisting the fear, observe it. say to yourself, “this is just an extinction burst, which means I’m close/already there.”
shift through the fear. accept that it’s just noise, not a stop sign.
remind yourself, “shifting is natural, and I allow myself to do it.” the more you affirm this, the weaker the fear becomes.
extinction bursts spike right before a breakthrough, but if you push past them, they fade, and the new pattern takes hold. allow the new pattern to take hold. allow yourself to shift.

so many people in this community fabricate stories & conjure up fantasies on why they aren’t shifting. it’s “i didn’t shower” or “i didn’t finish & post my monthly shifting reading”. hm. wonder who that could be ?
trust me, i get it. i do. not reacting to the 3d is hard. i am sometimes on that sinking ship. most of the time i am on that sinking ship.
but !! what you need to realize there is no right way of shifting. you are giving simple audios & actions wayyyy too much credit. the only reason those guided meditations or your nighttime rituals aren’t working is because you have decided they will make or break your desires if not done perfectly. not a hair out of place. so squeaky clean. sparkling. glistening. & not to be like “that’s not realistic” because anything is possible but that’s putting way too much much pressure on yourself. also, time. give your manifestations time to show up. you placed your order, it’s gotta get packaged & needs stamps or a shipping label & it needs to make the trip from the warehouse to your front door. it’s not like amazon prime or uber eats.
the whole “i have to stay still to shift” thing was made up by probably you or by someone else who infected you with it by bringing it to the internet because that’s what they believe. subliminals or methods or repeating affirmations until you’re bored out of your mind are all ways anyone can shift. the reason it’s “not working” is because you believe it’s not working. the 3d is what you’re giving into when you should be giving into those feelings & thoughts you would have, as if you already shifted or changed your eye color or whatever you would like to achieve. because, spoiler: you already have. you’ve ordered it. it’s in transit. it may just take some time to get to you.
