I think that Senjuro is strong.

This guy that appears soft in the show has been trained by Kyoujuro, who is known for his harsh training that not many willing to be his tsuguko. Kyoujuro trained with Senjuro, meaning both managed to adapt well to each other skill and strength.

I think that Senjuro is strong, but he doesn't meet the qualifications to become a slayer. Maybe there's something he lacks, but I know for sure this guy ain't no weak. Maybe it's something about his emotional or mental state instead of physical that made him unable to meet the expectations of a slayer.

Senjuro grew up not having that much memory of his mother and being treated harshly by his father. What if he wouldn't stand seeing any violence a demon could do? What if his mind and body couldn't decided to flight or fight so he just freeze? Just my speculation, but maybe that's why he wasn't strong enough to become a slayer. Or maybe be just needs more time for his body to become strong enough but he decided to do something else in the end.

Different from Kyoujuro, he's not as positive as his brother is. With Kyoujuro gone, the only light in his life, it's a wonder how Senjuro isn't as broken as his father.

A Guy among the flaming bloodline that is the rengoku. he’s really relatable like that, being “mediocre” in a family of greatness, and it’s apparent that it’s been weighing him down. it gives a more human perspective on the clan, because despite their long history of being hero-like figures they were still people with their own feelings and hopes, and various ways for them to deal with the expectations bought upon their shoulders the moment they were born with that name. and opens up the possibility of a rengoku contributing to the corps in any other ways that doesnt have them be the flame hashira.

random headcanon he still trains despite knowing that he wont ever be a demon slayer. at first this was out of denial and desperation to gain his father’s approval, but eventually it just became a part of his regular exercise. besides, even if there are no more demons, he could still use his years of training to protect other people in case something happens

unpopular opinion he’s not weak... like yeah he’s far from kyojuro’s level but senjuro regularly trains despite not being a demon slayer, as well as doing household chores in the large rengoku estate all by himself for years on end now. do u know how much (physical) strength that takes???? its just peeving me personally when senjuro was treated as some floppy boy when he really isnt

You can’t let anyone else try to live your life for you, and you cannot worry about “doing things right”. Also: none of the things described here as “cheating” are ACTUALLY cheating.
