Imagine you're a young country girl, and you fall in love. But you and your lover are poor, so he goes out to make money... and then you learn that he has been murdered by an infamous serial killer.
Years pass. You try to move on, you even get engaged to a charming, rich man who knows you don't love him, but tells you he loves you, and hopes that in time you will grow to love, rather than just appreciate him. A part of you still feels you are betraying your dead lover.
And then the serial killer shows up. He taunts you with the story of how your lover died. He calls you a faithless whore. You get your chance to escape by shoving him down a very steep hill, and as he falls he calls out to you.
He's your lover. You immediately chase after him, and learn that he has traded places with the serial killer, who wanted to retire, and has simply let you believe he was dead for five years, only to return and mock you.
We need more walkable cities. I am so tired of my transportation turning to aquatic life. It’s so inconvenient.

So, obviously classic wizard robes aren’t wheelchair friendly. (Alright, admittedly this isn’t common knowledge and also this definitely isn’t a problem for most but listen, this is a problem for me and I’m pleased to present a solution for it nonetheless.)
The issue is in the sleeves and the length of the robes. The traditional trumpet style allows them to get snagged, dirty, and caught in the wheels.
This is distinctly not an issue with other mobility aids such as canes and crutches, these wizards are fine to carry on with their trumpet sleeves simply rolled up if needed.
Now, one solution might simply to shorten the sleeves and hem to be out of the way, but that looks rather silly so I won’t do that. Instead I propose the more elegant design of a hanging sleeve to maintain that flowy magical feel while allowing for better range of motion.
Honestly I just love the look of hanging sleeves in general and think more people should appreciate them, wheelchair user or not.
In conclusion…
