“Can I have a cigarette?” The Magnus Archives is a horror anthology audio drama by Rusty Quill, written by Jonathan Sims. It’s probably one of my favourite podcasts so I decided to make an animated trailer for the very first episode, Anglerfish All credit goes to the staff at Rusty Quill

Reason:
“-They made each other laugh so much in the 60's that they and others would joke they should have a comedy show called 'The Mike and Micky Show'; this was the reason they titled their musical show the same name around 50 years later -As The Monkees began to fall apart as a band, Micky wrote a song (Shorty Blackwell) that was entirely about feeling sad, asking Mike about his feelings, criticizing Mike for being disinterested in The Monkees after fighting for musical control, and asking to find ‘a master’. On the same album Mike wrote a song (Carlisle Wheeling) which title shared a name of a character Micky played in a bit he and Micky did together, and was a love song apologizing for being distant and reflecting on passionate love. When singing the song outside of the context of The Monkees, he changes the name of the song. -Stayed friends and worked together after the breakup of The Monkees -Mike joined the other Monkees for one show on the reunion tour, after which Micky called it ‘an incredible thrill’ and Mike agreed and kissed him on the cheek. -Mike called Micky affectionate/teasing names, ‘my girl’ and ‘my soulmate’ -Would blow kisses to each other on stage -Micky continues to work closely with Mike’s family in his own musical endeavors. He also put out an album entirely of songs Mike wrote.”
