Hello! Welcome to the Commissions Shop!

Hello! Welcome To The Commissions Shop!

My name is Juice (he/him) from @electricpurrs!

This blog is a project made to share as many commissions posts from artists on Tumblr as possible.

The goal is to create a hub where artists can have their commissions equally shared for visibility, and people seeking to buy art can just scroll for easy access to a wide variety of commissions from tons of different artists!

This is still a new project, but i hope to work it out with time until we get to what works best.

For now i am going to be reblogging any commissions posts i see on here, and people who have commissions open (or know someone who does) can submit or DM them to me, and I'll reblog them as well.

I want this to be a varied space! All kinds of art are welcome, be it digital art, traditional, plushies, embroidery, adopts, stickers, charms, prints, fursuits and more!

I will work into implementing a tagging system so hopefully posts are easy to navigate, and people looking for specific things can find them easier!

Advice/Suggestions on how to improve are welcome, my inbox will be open for any questions or suggestions, as well as DMs.

"The art that you like, isn't necessarily the art that you want to create."

That's a quote that I have stumbled upon one day on the internet, and it completely changed me. So much in art is about learning about yourself. Your strengths, weaknesses and preferences. For years, I believed what I wanted to draw are artworks filled with details, that someone can spend minutes looking at while discovering something they haven't noticed before. This led to this super daunting task of having to plan that, and knowing that the process of creating an artwork like that, will take me hours to finish. Knowing what awaits me, led to me procrastinating and never wanting to draw. Sometimes days, weeks or even months.

I believe it is important to challenge yourself, and do things that you don't want to do. However, that should only go so far. If that stops you completely from doing what you're doing, then you have to change that. Especially if it's just a hobby. It took me years, but eventually I realized that I do not have the patience for spending hours and hours on a single artwork. Not that I don't enjoy the process of drawing itself, but more than anything, I love finishing artworks. I love the feeling of moving on constantly, and being able to look back at a long list of drawings that I have accomplished.

To achieve that, my art became a lot more abstract, simplified and messier. But I think it also has become more personal that it ever has been before. My art now reflects my impatience. My flaws, be it anatomy, perspective or coloring. It's all there, but what it did is make drawing fun again.
