           “What about this one?” You hold a necklace up, watching the way it glitters underneath the bright sunlight.

           “Looks good, kitten.” Seonghwa says automatically.

           You lower the necklace, glancing over at your boyfriend. Against the backdrop of the beach and the vibrant stalls that line the shopping area, saying he sticks out is wording it mildly. Whereas everything around Seonghwa is a riot of colour, he is dressed entirely in red and black. His hair is dark red, tousled by the wind coming off the water and his makeup has been applied in his usual expert hand with dark eyeshadow and lipstick. The only acquiesce to the warmer weather is that his shirt doesn’t have long sleeves, meaning that you have enjoyed taking glances at his toned arms all day, and a pair of black flip flops instead of combat boots are on his feet. But the usual pair of dark ripped jeans are on. Seonghwa seems torn between wanting to dress his usual way and having to admit the weather simply won’t permit it.

           There is one subtle change in his attire today, however, and it’s that the choker he typically wears has now been replaced by white lace. It matches your own outfit, a simple white beach dress with pink flip flops. Seonghwa had been doing that often as of late – changing his choker to tie together with whatever you are wearing. He never spoke about it, always deciding on what choker to wear after he saw your finished outfit.
