Especially strong emotions and thoughts can be sensed by the individual's soulmate(s).

Examples;

One partner of an established soulmate pair doing something dull or mundane and getting a sudden surge of excited. Their mood is significantly lifted because their soulmate is doing well.

One partner hearing "I wish I was dead" echo through their head and their blood goes cold with shock and worry.

Someone who hasn't met their soulmate yet suddenly getting the mental image of a face and scrambling to see if it's a hint to their partner's identity.

One partner getting a rush of pain in their kneecaps one day and getting annoyed at their reckless soulmate.
