I don’t study genocides war crimes and human rights for fun. I study it bc my people have been at the foot from the very first genocide of the 20th century and previous attempts to exterminate my entire race. The fact that no one is speaking up when another genocide is at the brink of occurring to the ethnic Armenians living in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) is mind blowing. I have to say I’m not surprised by the lack of effort - Americans, especially, are the most self interested humans I’ve met. This isn’t about narrative, this is about rapid belligerent individualism. We can philosophize all day about it but at the end - people don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves. There is rarely any altruism left in this world. As Monte said, no ones gonna fight for us, we will have to fight on our own to survive. The alternative is not an option.

tw// explosion
Hello, hope all of you are safe and doing well.
You may have heard of what happened in Lebanon today and if not, basically, there was a big explosion in Beirut that affected many cities, destroyed shops, homes, cars, caused many injuries and deaths. The cause is uncertain.
As a fellow lebanese myself (that also lives there), today was absolutely terrifying, probably the scariest moments of my life. We heard a deafening sound as the floors were shaking. Some of us thought it was an attack, others thought it was an earthquake. As soon as it ended many expected a second one, which luckily never happened.
Here's a video of what happened that was sent to me, there are also many others that you can find online.
Windows were broken, doors wrecked, cars flipped over, buildings collapsed, people hit by flying or falling objects, and unfortunately, many didn't make it out alive.
We were one of the lucky ones, our families and friends were all safe and our homes were fine.
Some people couldn't even get out of the crumbling builings, so we saw corpses being pulled out, although some people survived the crash. But wherever we looked, there was blood, poeple were half covered in it, their shirts, pants, hair, everything. And that sight was traumatizing.
We watched the news with elders severely injured, children with blood-spattered shirts and people in pain that couldn't get in the hospitals because they were full.
Some people are missing. Just try to imagine the pain and fear their families and friends are feeling.
Articles about what happened, there are a lot more
Not only are we in the middle of a pandemic, but Lebanon is also going through a very serious economical crisis. To give you an example, before, $1 equaled 1 500 lebanese pounds. Nowadays, $1 equals more than 7 000 lebanese pounds. Not to mention that we obviously don't have any dollars at disposition, so yeah we're fucked.
People are hungry, homeless, unemployed. And even if they are getting paid, it'll be useless since the prices of everything went up because they were affected by the economical fiasco.
Important additional information
Today, I heard my 7 year old cousins scream in fear that they were going to die. I saw my aunt shaking, worried that her children won't survive. I saw my dad freak out while trying to reassure us when we both knew that we were uncertain about the next minutes of our lives. I heard the panic in the trembling voices of my family and friends as they couldn't believe what had just happened. I thought my loved ones and I were going to die in the next seconds.
I'm never forgetting those moments and feelings.
I don't think signing petitions will help, i don't even know if the following links will help either, I just know Lebanon and it's people are desperate for anything because the future of this country is extremely uncertain.

I think donating to the red cross would be the most helpful, so if you are considering it, it'd be great.
There are so many great threads on twitter about what you can do to help, just search help lebanon or something to find them. Also if you can, please donate, and as I said, the lebanese pound is pretty much worthless currently so USD is way more useful to us.

Hope everyone is staying strong and safe out there! This storm will pass
for the last 2+ weeks, the Amazon has been catching fire. Yes, it’s the season where that’s normal but because of the sayings (aka incentive) of our new president, some farmers are taking advantage of that and intentionally setting the trees on fire. Yesterday, because of this, the sky of São Paulo looked like this. AT THREE IN THE AFTERNOON.
Hospitals of the northern states are filling up with people (especially children and seniors) claiming they can’t breathe properly. ALREADY ENDANGERED ANIMALS ARE DYING. THIS IS SERIOUS.
Germany and Norway, huge donators to the Amazon cause will stop sending money because they don’t see results (that can also be credited to our president, who has been tweeting angrily ever since - not because he cares about the environment, btw). That money gives this guy and his team equipment to save little guys like these:
THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE, NOT JUST BRAZILIANS. The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world, and it’s being destroyed. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING.
If your country is holding elections, vote for someone who cares about this. Don’t let another Bolsonaro or another Trump have the power to do something and then do nothing. This is going to shape our future — if we have one.
PLEASE REBLOG, EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!
side note: not to sound bitter or ungrateful but also like what’s up with Europe… y’all exploited South America for centuries but just because you “aren’t seeing results” you stop helping altogether?? if you really wanted to help you wouldn’t stop because you think you aren’t helping lol
So, our Lung is on fire.
It is already threatened by huge deforestation, to the point it lost 20% of its wildth in less than 30 years.
It’s been burning for around two weeks and almost no word has been uttered about it. I, sincerely, have come to find out about it just now. I’m shooketh ™️ because we’re really burning away this planet.
The Amazon Rainforest holds 20% of global waters, it’s an area of incredible value in termns of biodiversity and, nevermind, it’s a crucial climate regulator. Spread awareness, demand help.

What is Traditional Witchcraft?
According to Michael Howard, Trad Craft refers to “any non-Gardnerian, non-Alexandrian, non-Wiccan or pre-modern form of the Craft, especially if it has been inspired by historical forms of witchcraft and folk magic”.
Traditional Witchcraft, therefore, is not a single monolith. We can, in fact, distinguish between:
Operative Witchcraft or Folk Magic
Ritual(istic) Witchcraft
This first difference is taken from Margaret Murray; she used the first term for indicating the practice of magic, as carried out by cunning folk and folk magicians, and included the non-religious practice of spells, charms, divinations, etc. “whether used by a professed witch or by a professed Christian, whether intended for good or for evil, for killing or for curing. Such charms and spells are common to every nation and country, and are practised by the priests and people of every religion. They are part of the common heritage of the human race and are therefore of no practical value in the study of any one particular cult.” (The Witch-Cult, p. 11.)
The second term (also called “Dianic cult” by Murray) indicates, instead, “the religious beliefs and ritual of the people, known in late mediaeval times as ‘Witches’. The evidence proves that underlying the Christian religion was a cult practised by many classes of the community, chiefly, however, by the more ignorant or those in the less thickly inhabited parts of the country. It can be traced back to pre-Christian times”. Therefore we can say that Ritual Witchcraft is the cult of pre-Christian Deities or Spirits connected to the witches.
While the ideas of Murray about this cult have now been discredited, other scholars have reopened this field as a viable area of study, discovering many ecstatic witch-cults. The most known academics in this field are: Carlo Ginzburg, Éva Pócs, Emma Wilby, Claude Lecouteux, Wolfgang Behringer, Sabina Magliocco, Gábor Klaniczay, Gustav Henningsen and Bengt Ankarloo.
Relying on the work of these scholars, we can say therefore that Ritual Witchcraft was/is the religious system surrounding the Sabbath, the Procession of the Dominae Nocturnae from house to house, the spiritual flight, Elphame, the Wild Hunt, the Night Battles, etc.
As we can understand, even if the majority of the Ritual Witches were/are also Operative Witches (practitioners of Folk Magic), not all the Operative Witches were/are also Ritual Witches. The majority of Folk Magicians/Operative Witches, in fact, didn’t go to the Sabbath, didn’t astrally fly, didn’t astrally go with the Wild Hunt, from house to house with the Domina Nocturna, to Elphame/the Otherworld or to the Night Battles. Ritual Witches did.
We can say, therefore, that Operative Witchcraft is a practice, while Ritual Witchcraft is a religion.
Traditional Witches who are secular are, therefore, usually Operative and not Ritual Witches. While the distinction between Ritual and Operative Witchcraft is an established one in the Witchcraft community, I introduce a new, according to me useful, second distinction, inside Ritual Witchcraft (i.e. Witchcraft as a religion), by borrowing the terms “Revivalism” and “Reconstructionism” from Polytheism, in which it’s an already established terminology:
Hereditary Witchcraft
Revivalist Witchcraft
Reconstructionist Witchcraft
Hereditary Traditional Witchcraft brings together all the traditions that claim a lineage from the Witchcraft of the past.
Revivalist Traditional Witchcraft is inspired by folklore, trials and the figure of the witch without any presumption of hereditarity. Unlike the Reconstructionist one, it leaves ample space for personal initiative and the influence of other traditions, without slavishly following the history in every single detail.
Reconstructionist Traditional Witchcraft, finally, tries to resume, starting from the in-depth study of folklore, historical trials and documents, the exact practices and beliefs of Historical Witchcraft. For example, the pantheon of Spirits, the festivities, the structure of the Sabbath, the structure of the offerings, and so on.
An important aspect for those who practice Reconstructionism is the resumption of the names of the Gods (or it would be more correct to say, of the “Deific Familiar Spirits” or “Major Spirits”) forgotten and remained only in the trials papers and in folklore. The idea is to reopen roads, ways to these Spirits. Reconstructing therefore means paying homage to these Spirits and allowing those interested to re-establish a connection with Them.
We said before that Traditional Witchcraft is not Wicca. What’s the difference?
According to the Traditional Witchcraft author Lee Morgan:
“It could easily be said that one of the major differences between the modern revival referred to as “Traditional Witchcraft” and the other modern revival known as “Wicca”, is that Traditional Witchcraft draws on “folkloric material” and is largely “shamanic” whereas Wicca is more of a fusion of Western Occult ceremonial and natural magic traditions.”
(From: Lee Morgan’s “A Deed Without a Name: Unearthing the Legacy of Traditional Witchcraft”)
Here’s a quick-and-dirty list of things that I think sets up a good foundation for someone moving forward with magic work and why. They’re also in order of what I think is best approached first. (For a time reference, I recommend the whole thing taking at LEAST a year, but individual steps and overall length will vary in each person.)
Learn basic magical theory. What is happening when you cast a spell? What is grounding? How do correspondences work? Why is X step or tool important? Learn about what it is you’re doing before diving into actual casting. Have a basic grip on how it works.
Some form of divination, even if it’s something as simple as a pendulum. Other people won’t always be there to help you answer questions, validate your interpretation of something, or offer direction. Having some form of divination under your belt helps you avoid dependency on other people. You can more easily answer your own questions, check your own intuition, and take matters into your own hands.
Protection and Cleansing. No matter what path you go down or what type of magic you end up doing, these are two things that every magic worker needs to know how to do, and know how to do it well. They also tend to be fairly straightforward to learn. Cleanse your space, cleanse yourself, cleanse that object, cleanse your grandma. Then protect them. Learn how to set up wards and shields, which brings us to….
Basic energy work. You’ve probably already run into it a lot by this point and it’s fine if you’ve already picked up some things. But now is the time to really focus on it and get comfortable with it. Learn how to confidently sense what’s around you and interact with it, fix gaps in your wards and shields, project your intent into things, you get the idea. Energy work will always be there in a pinch and requires no materials besides your body, and is extremely versatile. Plus, most paths really require at least a base-level understanding of it these days. Can’t hurt.
Start honing your specific path. Here’s where the cookbooks, the old graveyards, the skulls on the shelf, the fairy figurines start really coming into play. If you have an idea of what sort of path you’d like to follow, start really getting into the meat of it! What does it look like? What are the first steps to that type of magic? If for now you’re still eclectic or aren’t sure, then just read what interests you or try more advanced general spells than you have so far.
Go back and do it all again. That’s right. You can also put time into your path or your regular research, but go back and pick up those old books from step one. Read the old articles. Return to the basics and see how your views have become more nuanced, or how you disagree. What details flew over your head the first time? Can you pick up a new form of divination or try something new with your main form? Could those wards and shields be stronger? You get the idea. Once you’ve revisited it, you should have a really solid foundation that will help you no matter what direction you take next!
Other stuff to study on the side: Local folklore, mythology, and types of spirits. You may not want to work with spirits, but sometimes spirits want to work with you! So it’s good to have an idea of what to do if they pop up. What plants grow in your area? What‘s edible? What is used in healing? What plants are NOT edible in your area? What’s poisonous?
If you think there’s another important step that you recommend that I didn’t include, feel free to add it! :)
The steps are:
1. Ask (for what you want)
2. Believe (you will receive what you asked for and that there is a force [Deity, Universe, etc.] that wants to give it to you)
3. Receive*
*And this is where most magick practitioners go wrong:
How many times have you heard people say: you can’t just do a spell and then wait for whatever you asked for to fall in your lap, you have to work for it!
Then literally…what was the point of doing the spell or saying the prayer?
Oh it was to make your mind focused on what you want and/or to put the odds in your favor for receiving it
This idea (above) completely misses the importance of the yin energy (feminine energy) in magickal practice; something Westerners struggle with (because our entire culture and value system is based off its opposite = yang energy)
Yin/Feminine Energy = water, receptive, rest, stillness
Yang/Masculine Energy = active, working, force, aggression
The YANG WAY OF MAGICK: work hard before and during ritual, if you didn’t sweat, it didn’t work; do multiple workings, work toward the goal after ritual/spell is done
The YIN WAY OF MAGICK: ask –> believe –> wait –> receive
Receive: graciously, with gratitude, without guilt
If you need proof beside my own personal word that it works
try it yourself

sigil magick is something a little outside the box. For those of you who don’t know what sigil magick is,
it is when you take a wish,
write it out on a piece of paper, (Must be in present form, ex. I have good grades.)
take out all repeating letters, (for sentence above: you are left with I, H, V, R, S.)
Then put those letters together and make a symbol from them.
Now from this step, you can do one of many things.
Fold it up and bury it.
Burn it
Rip it to pieces and let the wind carry it off
put it in a river, lake, stream, ect.
rip it, set it in melted candle wax, put in witch bottle.
Basically you destroy it.
After a while the sigil will take effect. But with sigil magick, almost all of the power for it, comes from faith that it WILL work.
You can also use color correspondences, moon phases, candles, herbs, crystals, ect. to make your spell stronger.
Strength / Weakness Emotion / Thought Valid fear / Invalid fear Fear / Reality Perception / Reality Mistake made / Lesson learned Need / Want Let go of / Keep Take / Give Banish / Attract Laugh / Cry Act / Rest
This is a little exercise for anyone that wants to begin going into energies and such. Do a little or as much as you’d like every day and you’ll find other exercises easier after having this foundation.
So, to begin, sit in a comfortable position and space. You can sit however you’d like, just make sure you have your hands available.
Start grounding yourself. You can close your eyes here if you feel comfortable doing so. Take a 3 second breath in through your nose and a 3 second exhale through your mouth. Continue doing this until you feel your heart and lungs begin to sync up and your center aligning.
Take your hands out in front of you. Personally, I find having them lined up to my ribcage the most powerful, but if you feel like you get a better reaction by holding them above your head or where ever, go for it man. With your hands out, face your palms together with your hands slightly cupped.
Start with your hands closer together, but not touching. Visualize your energy moving from your chest all the way down your arms and into your hands. You can visualize anything here, sometimes a visualization or sensation just happens, if this occurs, roll with it and embrace it. This is your energy.
Visualize your energy coming out of the palms of your hands. Now, at this point, start moving your hands away from each other and back closer again very slightly. You should just be slightly wavering your hands. If you feel a bit of resistance between your hands when they come closer to each other again, almost as if you’re squeezing a ball, then you’ve successfully created a ball of energy. Continue squeezing the ball between your hands.
This is generally a good starting point. It may take a few tries for you to feel anything, but once you do, get comfortable making a strong ball of energy between your hands.
But, if you want continue, the next step would to be to make the ball bigger. As you’re wavering your hands, start taking longer pulling them apart. Go bit by bit farther apart from each other. You may feel a temperature difference if you’ve gone too far away from your ball compared if you are close to it.
Aftercare (I guess you could call it lol) consists of you recharging. For someone who has never done energy work before, it can be draining. How I like to close this exercise off is by bringing my hands together all the way until they are clasped together. Feeling the energy dissipate or be reabsorbed by my hands lets me know that I don’t have any residual energy wafting around.
Afterwords, take a break. Drink some tea, watch a movie, do whatever that you like and recharges you that you don’t have to put a lot of effort into. Regaining the energy that you’ve let out into the world is an important part of energy work; if you don’t do it, then . you’ll just run yourself dry and ragged.
✰Have fun! ∩(︶▽︶)∩

A sea spell for any sea witches who wish to astral travel, especially if it is to the ocean. Good for witches who are stuck inland.
You Will Need:
🐚 Light Blue Tealights 🐚 White Tealights 🐚 Sand (protection, the sea) 🐚 Sea Salt (protection, the sea) 🐚 Alabone Shell(s) (Meditation, energy, protection) 🐚 Scallop Shell(s) preferably white (travel, protection) 🐚 Glass bowl 🐚 (Optional) Sounds of the beach or sea
Steps:
🐚 If you are using sounds of the beach then play it softly in the background as you perform the spell
🐚 Light your candles and encircle them about your bowl or near it, depending on what your space allows
🐚 In your bowl place your sand then sprinkle salt over it
🐚 “My feet in the sand, the salt in the air”
🐚 Place in your shells as you see fit, into the bowl atop the sand and salt
🐚 “Seashells about me, I’m without a care”
🐚 Sit near the bowl and get yourself comfortable. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the beach, feel the energies of the ocean you have brought into your space.
🐚 “So now I travel, across the sea, to the places I desire to be.”
Note: Astral travel can be difficult and takes practice, if it doesn’t work the first time that is alright. Keep at it. Practice, practice, practice.
a spell for helping plants/herbs grow and stay alive
🌱 gather: eggshells, coffee grounds, the appropriate amount of water, and your plant.
🌱 grind up the eggshells to a fine powder
🌱 mix the eggshell dust with the coffee grounds
🌱 carefully, without disturbing or stressing the plant, mix the ingredients into the soil

🌙 Figure out your intent or goal and what corresponding planets, stars, constellations, etc are to your intent/goal. You may also use herbs, crystals, essential oils, etc along with the celestial bodies of your choice. Choose which ones you think or what your gut thinks is best for you. If your gut says you don’t need that, then don’t use it.
🌙 Get in a comfortable position. Normally sitting criss-cross or laying on your back. Surround yourself with the herbs, essential oils, or crystals of your choice.
🌙 Close your eyes and take deep breaths in and out. Try your best to clear your mind.
🌙 Now for visualization, a large hole in the ceiling appeared or the entire ceiling is gone. Your celestial body(bodies) glide over the open hole or ceiling. If you chose more than one CBs, they can glide over in one at a time, in small clusters or one large cluster. Imagine that the CB(s) stop directly over you and that they start to send down their energy in a beam of light. Now, your body starts to fill up with light near the third eye chakra (in between the eyebrows) and the crown chakra (the top of the head) then from those chakras, energy starts flowing through your body, making your entire body glow brighter and brighter over time. While all of this is happening, thank the CBs for their energy,
🌙 This next step of visualization is imagining what would happen after your goal. What does it look like? What does it sound like? What does it feel like, emotionally and/or physically? What would it smell like? You can think of any smell that fills your intent. What would it taste like? You can think of any flavor that fills your intent. After you’ve visualized all of your gaols’s five senses, you can stop meditation.
🌙 You’re ready to use your energy for divination!
