Just because someone has skin showing doesn’t mean they want to have sex. Thinking like that is…kinda just really weird

Current version of Roisin from my upcoming project Esterhedge! I’m really proud of her current design, they bring me a lot of happiness. They kinda remind me of beta Amity from TOH design wise. So, a comparatively high amount of states are voting on the fate of ranked choice voting this year. Missouri is voting on whether or not to kill it, Alaska is voting on whether or not to keep it, and most importantly, Nevada, Oregon and Idaho are voting on whether or not to adopt ranked choice voting, with maybe Colorado to follow.

And if you live in these states, even if you don't want to vote at the top of the ticket, I urge you to get out there and vote in favor of ranked choice voting on all of them.

Like, the two-party monopoly is a big part of the reason why politics in this country is so shit, and a big part of that is our "first past the post" system making it basically mathematically impossible for candidates outside of them to win anything beyond a local or state level.

So, if you want to try and break the cycle of voting for the lesser evil, of bipartisan cruelty towards the Global South and the country's own citizens alike, we need to change this and we need to vote on it where we can.

As we near the end of aromantic awareness week, I offer up my spicy takes as your friendly neighborhood aroace:

Romantic attraction is one of the many beautiful experiences you can have as a human but it’s just that— an experience. Not an end goal or a threshold. Lived experiences are not universal because we have the wonderful privilege of living on a planet full of different kinds of people.

Tbh romantic relationships look fun when done right. But you know what else is fun? Eating a really good muffin. Reading a story that blows your brains apart. Telling your friends a deez nuts joke and hearing them collectively groan. All rich moments of joy are meant to be cherished.

Sing it with me: platonic relationships are not lesser, weaker, or cheaper than romantic ones. I hope everyone reading this gets to someday experience a friendship so stalwart and loving that it anchors you through the worst and best of your life. I hope everyone reading this will have someone in their life who cherishes how beautiful they are to their core, regardless of mutual attraction or the obligations of courtship rituals.

Sex jokes made by the aro and ace communities are superior.

If you’ve ever identified with aromanticism, then hats off to you fellow traveler. You are seen, you are respected, and you are loved. Have a nice end to your week y’all.

u know what makes me cry..... that one van gogh quote about life changing for the better..... “many people seem to think it foolish, even superstitious, to believe that the world could still change for the better. and it is true that in winter it is sometimes so bitingly cold that one is tempted to say, ‘what do i care if there is a summer; its warmth is no help to me now.’ yes, evil often seems to surpass good. but then, in spite of us, and without our permission, there comes at last an end to the bitter frosts. one morning the wind turns, and there is a thaw. and so i must still have hope.” yeah..... Crying....

Not a dream

Was just talking to a friend about clothes and she was telling me she loves my style but she can never find anything affordable and cute so I am going to teach her all of my tricks and share knowledge about buying on a budget. I love helping people.

I also gave her some unworn items that I no longer fit in because she loved them. ❤

I hunt for bargains, buy things second hand from people and thrift. I don't remember the last time I bought anything for a full price or brand new (except undies). That's my rec to anyone.

I also use BestSecret and you can find really nice clothes there from previous seasons on big sales. I bought a really expensive coat that had a button missing and a few threads loose there for maybe 15 euros and I fixed it up. Usually the items are in perfect condition though.

Idk why BestSecret even has invitation style joining (I think you get perks as the person who invited someone) because it's a really good site.

Here's my code if anyone wants to join. Pretty sure I get some sort of points for it and I think maybe a discount once I give out all 6 invitations and people join in but this is not sponsored in any way!

Not A Dream

Last thing I was looking for there was a cheap but cute dress for a wedding this summer, since I gained weight and don't fit into my fancy clothes.

I really liked this one but held off on purchasing because my laptop broke suddenly and fixing it up cost a lot of money so now they're out of my size.

Not A Dream

The green one is just sooo pretty. There's an orange version but I don't like it as much.

Can you tell me it'll be okay? And mean it?

Yeah. It feels like shit now and there's a lot to worry about, but there was a lot to worry about last month and four years ago and eight years ago and twelve years ago and sixteen and twenty and twenty four and twenty eight and on and on and on.

Continue to work locally, continue to help people, continue to speak up for what is right and protest what is wrong.

We all should be breaking unjust laws and taking care of one another because you don't survive things like this by being isolated and alone, you survive things like this by building networks and creating parallel systems and growing tight bonds with the people in your community (either physically or digitally).

Plan on helping someone get an abortion. Plan on lying to ICE. Plan on helping someone get hormones. Plan on defending an encampment. Plan on sharing information that is being hidden. Plan on potesting a pipeline or supporting forest defense. Plan on not crossing picket lines. Plan on helping your friends get their meds.

The US Federal Government sucks shit and is not here to help. But there are millions of people who want to help each other, and those are the people you should be focusing your energy on.

It's going to be hard, but it was always going to be hard. I believe in my community, I believe in the networks I've built, I believe in the ability of small groups to make change and I believe in you.

Don't panic about what's on the horizon, do something *today* that will make someone else's life better tomorrow and it will feel less like the world is falling down.
