Happy Winter Solstice! I’m excited to celebrate the longest night of the year and hope we can reflect on ourselves together. I’ve created a spell that enchants us with winter wonders and helps us calm down so we are able to look inside ourselves. I like to drink this tea before I go to bed. I hope you have a wonderful night!
Ingredients
1 cup or mug of water
1 candy cane
half a tbsp of chamomile
half tsp on vanilla
Directions
heat up the water until at your preferred temperature
stir in the vanilla counterclockwise and place the chamomile in to steep
let it sit for about four minutes and strain out
mix again with the candy cane, but this time stir clockwise and chant
“A tired sky closes its eyes to dream,
creating a wondrous dance with the stars.
Time is remembered through its color and gleam,
but when the sky opens and light begins again so do we.”
Make sure you imagine a blue color swirling around you like snow in the breeze. A white snow with a tint of blue and although it feels cold on your skin, it creates a warmth underneath.
Then let your mind wonder in the past memories that swim around your mind. Take in the good and the bad and come to a peace and reflection stance. Slowly blance your mind and body. And take your first sip.
I hope you all have a happy holiday!
- Kenzie!
A storm is likely to come when:
deciduous trees flip their leaves due to wind direction
birds fly low in the sky, and go quiet
there’s a southerly wind (in the US)
there’s a red dawn in the east
layers of nimbus clouds move in opposite directions
the morning grass is dry of dew
an earthy scent rises from the soil and flowers
pine cones remain closed
a halo rings the moon at night
nights are warm in winter (cloud cover insulation)
smoke swirls and descends, instead of a steady rise
Remember, low pressure brings wet weather.

I view witchcraft in the same way that I do vitamin supplements. Vitamins can help boost you up if you’re deficient in certain things, but if you ate nothing but vitamins, you’d still be very unhealthy. Witchcraft is the same way. If you need help finding a job, a job spell can help increase your chances after you submit a job application. However, if you ignore mundane means and only ever use witchcraft, you’ll never reach your full potential.
One of the things I love most about soup is its ability to heal the heart, body, and soul. A few simple ingredients, no matter how little you may have, can come together to create a whole and satisfying meal. You can dress these creations up or down, add or switch ingredients to suit your own needs. And who doesn’t love tucking into a nice bowl of soup, stew, or chowder?
4-5 slices bacon, diced (optional)
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, diced
¼ cup flour
2 cups beef or vegetable broth
1 ½ cups milk or oatmilk/almond milk
2 cups potatoes, diced (mixed small potatoes or golden)
1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Allspice (careful! This can easily overpower a dish)
2-3 large Bay leaves
Cayenne
Marjoram
Rosemary
Thyme
Salt and Pepper
OPTIONAL. In large pot, cook bacon (if desired) until crispy. Dice and set aside. Leave bacon grease in pot.
Melt butter and saute onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add flour and cook another minute or so, stirring frequently so it doesn’t burn.
Add broth and simmer another few more minutes. Add milk, potatoes, and half of diced bacon. Add spices. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cook until potatoes are soft.*
Stir in cheese, if desired. Adjust salt/pepper to taste.
Serve warm and with toppings. You can dress it up with bacon, cheese, sour cream, peppers, chives, green onions, etc. It’s up to you!
*Note: Remove some of the potatoes, mash them, and then return to the pot. Cook another few minutes for a heartier, thicker soup.

It’s really important to take fluids when you’re sick so it’s also a good idea to drink liquids like orange juice (which has vitamin c), tea, and water.
If you’ve got any further question about how to make these or my personal magical correspondences, my ask is always open.

I found out Odin & Hœnir & Loki shares a common theme: birds! Odin is raven(or eagle), Hœnir is water bird(either crane, heron, or swan), Loki is falcon/hawk.
Oh that’s true! They are all associated with a specific kind of bird at some point in the myths. Odin and his ravens are sort of recurring because they’re his familiars, so to speak; Hoenir’s relation with swans/water birds comes from Lokka Tattur if I’m not mistaken, when he hides the boy in a single bird’s feather; and Loki being a falcon/hawk comes from the Skaldskaparmal, when he borrows Freyja’s falcon feather cloak in order to rescue Idunn

I made this spell after moving into my new husbands’s apartment. It had never truly been a home before. More of a place to eat and sleep when my husband wasn’t busy working. And after moving all my things in and cleaning, I just still wasn’t feeling. It felt odd and cold. Not like a home at all. So I wrote this spell and performed it, and the dynamics of our apartment instantly changed. It feels warm now. Warm and happy and cozy, and my husband and I look forward to when we get to spend time there together.
