so im a very sentimental person. i very much like to keep memorabilia and keepsakes and stuff to remind me of certain occasions/events. at the same time, i don't very often experience occasions so special that i'd like to keep something from them. luckily, i don't need to experience anything to take clips of the stupid things me and my friends do/say in voice call.
so i take a lot of stupid clips. beyond the fact that the hotkey for recording the last 1 minute and 15 seconds of my computer activity is *very* easy to accidentally press, i take a lot of stupid clips that are much longer than they warrant being- the moment i wanted to clip was less than 10 seconds long, but the clip itself is a 1:15 long 1080p video. this leads to, rather large video file sizes.
i also have adhd. i am very bad at sticking with a monotonous task, especially one that pretty much enables constant distraction (i.e., cleaning out old clips by looking through them one by one to see which ones are worth keeping (for the record, none of them are very worth keeping in any objective sense. no one but me will ever see them.))
this leads to, this problem.

both drawn to life books are free to read on archive.org?? and downloadable as pdf???? what!! YO HOLY SHIT
a coworker yesterday was asking me about these behind my chair, and gun to my head, if you asked me what was the single best drawing book of all time -- it'd be these. there's a reason i keep them in irl arm's length.
not to toot my horn but i get a lot of comments about "believable life"/body language in my drawings, and i owe that to this book. Walt Stanchfield -the author- was one of the main mentors to a ton of the rennaisance era disney animators (Glen Keane, Musker, Deja, etc). this guy understands both the kinectic sense of how bodies move and squish/stretch, and how people "act", and composition/silhouette, and is honestly just a thoroughly decent dude.

I just relistened to blink and aeon's heart to heart in the closet-
the card part was so sad the more I thought about it?? Just- imagine young Blink staring at that deck of cards after candle's death and just. thinking about how he was so excited to play cards with them, and how interested candle had been?
then after stealing it candle dies and aeon's basically gone too, he's alone and he's staring at that deck- which in his eyes killed candle- and maybe he throws them away as hard as he can but instantly regrets it and tries to save them but it's too late?? and now he has nothing to remember candle by, not even the cards that killed him?
We've lost a lot to the onslaught of enshittification but I can think of none more brazen than Discord getting rid of the send button
