eventually you realize you don’t want to die. you just don’t want to live the life you’re living. and slowly you try to create a life you want to live. just gotta start there.

Nebraska hasn't passed a single bill this year because one lawmaker keeps filibustering in protest of an anti-trans bill: 'I will burn this session to the ground'
Damn. I thought she was just gonna up and make a fuss and her swearing to protect trans kids was a bunch of empty words (again).
But no. She's one-woman filibustering the entire Nebraska legislature into a complete standstill until they agree to protect the rights of trans kids.
She was 100% serious when she said she'd make it as painful for everyone as it is for trans kids. Gahddamn.
This is why small elections matter. She's not a country wide senator or president or shit. She's just a local official representing District 6 in Nebraska.
This is why the "smaller" elections between the presidential elections matter.

Wednesday, if Wenclair weren’t roommates -
Enid, staring at Wednesday across the quad: Smash.
Yoko: Enid! You can’t seriously like the new girl.
Enid, with heart eyes: Too late. Pretty, mean, goth… I never stood a chance. Do you think she likes girls?
Yoko: I heard she ate that kid she murdered at her last school.
Enid: What cannibals can’t be gay? You’re being really homophobic right now.
my first offical drawing of ’23 had to be wenclair
Anyone else feel like they missed a significant youth socialization thing that would make sense of the visceral hate for polys? Why does it incite actual anger? This is obviously more than meeting an annoying ex-theater kid poly dom once
Rewatched The Good Place for the first time since s4 dropped and. Oh my god. The Good Place said "people are a result of their environment but we always have a moral responsibility to be better" and The Good Place said "every day the world gets a little more complicated and it gets a little harder to be good" and The Good Place said "even in the face of total nihilism, when nothing you do will matter, you still have to at least try. Because trying is better than the alternative" and The Good Place said "if you have bills to pay and shit to deal with you don't have time or energy to become a better person" and then The Good Place really said "people get better when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don't " and THEN The Good Place really said "no one is irredeemable. Everyone can try to be better today than they were yesterday" AND THEN! The Good Place said "Heaven is just enough time with the people that you love" OH MY FUCKING GOD.
