CANT REBLOG ENOUGH
SPREAD THE WORD! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Because My Dash Forever Needs This
#seniorquote
i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.
i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……
southern europe is burning.
my country is burning.
people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.
yesterday my country had 300 active fires.
people are losing EVERYTHING they own.
i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.
and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.
i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.
but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
again, i don’t know what to tell you so i’ll let the images speak for themselves:
An image captured by a Nasa satellite shows a thick plume of smoke blowing southward from the Greek island of Chios over the island of Crete
Torneros de Jamuz, Spain
Duca, Croatia
A helicopter from Italy’s civil protection service drops water on a fire near the railway between Venice and Trieste
Residents take refuge on the beach as a wildfire burns on the mountain next to the village of Lithi, on the Greek island of Chios
Men gather cattle during a forest fire in Vieira de Leiria, Marinha Grande, Portugal.
Charred trees are seen on the hills above the Cloister of Thivaidas on Mount Athos, a World Heritage Site in Greece

My art gets stolen all the time.
I have been through many copyright infringement cases - some have been resolved amicably, and there are ones that have taken more work. This case against Old Navy (Gap) is not getting resolved right now because Old Navy is denying copyright infringement.
They are being totally unapologetic, and have said that it would be a “bad business decision” for me to expect to be reasonably compensated for the use of my art. Instead of compensating me, they have chosen to pay a large law firm to fight me, and have even asked the judge to order me to pay THEIR legal fees.
When a company as large and mainstream as Old Navy steals my art and profits from it, and is unapologetic about it, I cannot afford NOT to fight this. My lawyers and I will be fighting this for as long as it takes.
Thank you for all your support. Please feel free to repost this!

Mulan: mhmmm... called it
College applications can be seriously stressful and overwhelming. After going through the process a few months ago and getting into both schools I applied to, I thought I’d share a few tips and a general timeline to shoot for!
as soon as possible
Begin making a list of colleges you’re interested in and researching them.
Start thinking about what extracurriculars you want to list; drop the ones you don’t care about to give you more time for the ones you enjoy most.
Think about the teachers that know you the best and ask if they would be willing to write a letter of recommendation.
six months before applications are due
Narrow down your list to your top choices only.
There’s no point in wasting money applying to colleges you don’t want to go to!
Look at the Common App essay prompts and start brainstorming topics.
as soon as applications open
Fill out the easy parts of the application – your name, address, etc.
Make a list of any fields that you will need help filling out (like if you’re not sure what your advisor’s phone number is).
Start rough drafts of your essays, even if you aren’t sure of the topics.
three months before applications are due
Nail down essay topics and begin serious revisions.
Ask people if they would be willing to proofread your essays.
Visit campuses if possible, or speak to an admissions counselor to better tailor your applications to each school.
one month before the due date
Send essays to the people that have agreed to go over them.
Finish up the questions portion of the application.
Enter in actives and have someone proof them.
Begin final edits of essays.
Contact the teachers that are writing your letters and add them as recommenders on Common App (if that’s what you’re applying through).
one week before the due date
Finalize your essays.
Have a parent review your application make sure all the information is accurate.
Make sure all test scores, transcripts, and any other supplemental materials are in order and will be sent on time.
Submit your applications as soon as possible so you’re not stressing about getting it in on time!
a few things to keep in mind
There’s no right number of schools to apply to.
I applied to two, my sister applied to one, and I have friends that applied to ten. Do your research and narrow it down as much as possible to save time and money, but above all make sure that you’re happy with the schools you choose.
Schools want to see applicants that are unique and passionate about something. It’s not so much about finding a student that’s done a million different things and is a member of every club, but finding one that shows dedication and individuality through their application.
They can tell the difference between an essay written by a high school senior or college transfer and an adult pretending to be one – don’t ever ever ever hire someone out to write yours for you.
Be creative with extracurriculars if you think you don’t have enough! Everything from babysitting your siblings to coding themes counts.
Seriously never underestimate the importance of having other people proofread. You’ve been looking at your essays for so long that you would never catch that one bit of an old sentence sandwiched in between a new one, but someone else will.
Don’t sweat it! You’ve totally got this.
Please tell everyone you know to watch at least four episodes over the next few days to ensure that it gets picked up for a third season!!!
This show covers topics ranging from depression and PTSD, to alcoholism, sexuality, and racism, all while being incredibly funny and never making fun of the topics it discusses so thoughtfully.
PLUS, it features a Cuban family with a gay daughter and a single mother who just so happens to be a veteran and a nurse.
I have never loved a TV family more than I love the Alvarez family. I have never cried over a TV family more than I have with the Alvarez family. And I truly can say that the finale of season 2 was the best episode of a sitcom I have ever seen.
Please, I’m begging all my followers to not let this beautiful show get cancelled because Netflix yet again doesn’t advertise the true gems in their library.
This cannot be another Sense8, where we watch representation get cancelled over another Adam Sandler movie.
Reblog and watch the show please!
