If that makes you happy, so be it. How you view women and I view women is totally different. That's the truth and makes me feel okay. And goodbye to you too
Hindu traditions and festivals just enslave women and reinforce patriarchal practices, karwa chauth for example, a festival where a married woman has to fast and stay famished for whole 24 hours, NO water and food and some of them don’t even swallow their own saliva and why? for the long life and well being of her husband. Husbands are placed on a pedestal in hinduism, he is more revered than god sometimes while reducing women to obedient and self sacrificing caretakers . It reinforces the idea that a woman’s purpose revolves around a man’s needs, his health, his happiness, his survival while her own identity and agency is considered as irrelevant. In this religion women’s existence will always be tied to men and are expected to embrace such misogynistic ideals or else she’ll be labelled as a “too westernised housewife” or other names they love calling when you go against the system
I think one of the greatest things about Sanatan/hinduism is how animals are so intrinsically involved in worship and divinity, something which is often used by Hinduphobes to poke fun at us but I’m super proud of my ancestors for making us understand that every being is divine. That divinity is everywhere and that includes animals and plants as well.
Can't talk about any iconic bhakts of Maa Saraswati, but I've never heard a single performance of folk singers in Awadh not have a geet dedicated to Mata Sharda Bhawani. They sing her glories for she is the goddess of art and music.
And Maihar which is in Madhya Pradesh now, is the seat of Sharda Bhawani, and people in huge numbers go there from Awadh to worship her. I've never been there but I really wish to go there one day.
I am
Maybe
A teeny tiny bit salty there aren't like well known iconic Saraswati bhakts
Atleast not any that I know off
There's Mirabai for Krishna and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa for Maa Kali
Like c'mon dude,
I expected atleast a legendary poet or astronomer or mathematician
I'm sure that the ancient universities of India were busttling with Saraswati bhakts
But why didn't they write down any of their stories and lives :(
GURL SAME
Like where did all the Saraswati bhakts go?? Just disappeared into thin air??? 😭😭😭😭
Some or rather most universities were filled with Buddhist ideologies tho so I don't know how many were Saraswati Bhakts bit I'm sure there were some ofcourse
Also another reason could be is because Saraswati wasn't/isn't much worshipped, like in the way Kali, Durga, Vishnu, Shiva, Lakshmi and all are worshipped with temples and elaborate rituals throughout Indian subcontinent...
Like I can maybe name a few temples dedicated to Saraswati and only maybe the eastern side, have a dedicated day to worship her
So yeah... Its sad she doesn't gets the recognition she deserves tho :(

Honestly the hinduphobic left is just so lazy. They'd bend over backwards to avoid thinking rationally. They just wanna be a part of something. So desperate.
What's more interesting is that the Tridev took rebirth as sons of Anusuya and Atri. And it was Brahma who was born as Chandra.
And according to some texts, Brahma and Lakshmi are siblings (just like Shiv and Saraswati, and Vishnu and Gauri are siblings). So, yeah he again became Lakshmi's brother when they emerged from the sagar manthan.
So no one ever told me about Ram ji roasting the moon and listing it faults because it's just not as beautiful as Maa Sita after looking at her once in the gardens? No one?
And then he just returned to his Guru like nothing happened? As if he didn't just talk to the moon and insult it?
I generally prefer Valmiki Ramayan but the Balkand in Ramcharitmanas is pure gold.
Tuesdays (मंगर in Awadhi) falling in the month of Jyestha (जेठ या ज्येष्ठ ) are celebrated as बड़का मंगर
This is similar to how we do Saawan somvaar on Mondays in Shravan.
Devotees of Ramdoot Bajrangbali Hanuman fast (optional) each Tuesday and visit a Hanuman temple. The folktales speak of Shri Ram and Lakshman meeting Hanuman and Sugreev in the month of Jyestha.

Can I join whatever this conversation is. I'm a devotee of Maa Saraswati. I'd like to learn more about her
What if Kanya-Saraswatism Tantra had it's own set of Mahavidyas, said to be forms of Saraswati?
Bhadrakali, Neela Saraswati, Kameshwari, ,,, Vac devi, Matangi, Kamale Kamini
OMG YEAHHHH
Wait does that means Brahmani or Ugra Kaushiki would also be considered Mahavidyas or are they separate???
Also how many Mahavidyas exactly???
Also Gayatri and Savitri??? Or are they different in this???
In 2006, the United States signed arms transfer agreements with Pakistan in excess of $3.5 billion, ranking Pakistan first among all arms clients of the United States during that calendar year. The key elements in Pakistan's arms purchases from the United States were 36 F-16C/D Block 50/52 fighter aircraft for $1.4 billion; a variety of missiles and bombs to be utilized on the F-16 C/D fighter aircraft for over $640 million; the purchase of Mid-Life Update Modification Kits to upgrade Pakistan's F-16A/B aircraft for $890 million; and 115 M109A5 155mm Self-propelled howitzers for $52 million. The rise of Pakistan to its new status as a major arms purchaser from the United States is particularly noteworthy given the difficulties the United States has had with Pakistan since the 1970s over its successful effort to produce nuclear weapons. The total value of Pakistan's 2006 arms purchases from the United States nearly matches the total value of all Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program purchases by Pakistan from the United States for the entire period from FY1950-FY2001 (more than $3.6 billion in current dollars). For the period from calendar year 2005 through calendar year 2008, Pakistan has placed orders with the United States for defense articles and services through the FMS program valued at $4.5 billion.1
It's outrageous and absolutely infuriating that the U.S. handed over more than $3.5 billion worth of deadly weapons to Pakistan—a country with a well-documented history of breeding terrorism, destabilizing the region, and violating every notion of peace. How can a nation that claims to fight terrorism fund and arm the very state that has time and again used such weapons against its own neighbors? This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s a slap in the face to every nation that’s been a victim of Pakistan-sponsored violence. Strategic interests don’t justify empowering a reckless, dangerous state with F-16s and missiles. It’s not diplomacy; it’s feeding the fire. And then the world expects us to stay calm, to show restraint? Enough. Peace cannot survive in a region where one side is constantly armed to the teeth while the other is told to turn the other cheek.
Lord Vishnu on a Lotus A plenary portion of the Personality of Godhead known as the Supersoul resides within the body in the region of the heart. His four hands carry a lotus, a wheel of a chariot, a conchshell and a club. His mouth expresses happiness and His eyes are like the petals of a lotus flower. He wears yellowish garments and gold ornaments set with jewels. On His chest is the Kaustubha gem, and His torso is garlanded with fresh flower #gita #bhagavadgita #gitahindi #krishna #devotion #bhakti #iskcon #vaishnav
I've been meaning to talk about this.
Don't blame all Kashmiris and Indian Muslims for terrorism. Okay ji.
But blaming all UCs for 5000 years of history is alright? Building a system which denies equal opportunities for ordinary general category Indians citizens is also acceptable?
How does that work?
