Morton Salt Girl Inspired Barbie
“When It Rains It Pours” This photo is inspired by the Morton Salt Girl, an ad campaign mascot created by the Morton Salt Company. According to historydaily.org, it’s one of the longest ad campaigns, and was created at the time to promote their unique cylindrically shaped packaging and spout as well as their new salt with a non-caking agent, which wouldn’t clump even in damp conditions. Umbrella made from paper, plastic stick, and bendaroos (wax covered string). ♫Rhythm Of The Falling Rain by The Cascades ♫Umbrella by Rihanna

1991 Bluebird Midge’s Bedtime
I haven’t gotten out my Pullip dolls to play with in a while so I think that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend. The dolly below is one I made from one of the Pullip MIO kits. I’ve made and customized lots of Pullips over the years but this was the doll I first tried carving the face on, and the first time I made a mohair wig (which I’m still pretty bad at but this didn’t turn out too badly).
Once I was done working on this doll I fell in love with how cute and sweet the face ended up being and couldn’t part with her so I named her Colette and kept her all for myself🥰
