I had the day off so I got to play dress up! Finally!!
Fashionista 182 quickly becoming my new muse 💕 I wanted to use her as a "Barbie as Briar Beauty" and stick to pinks and such but anything you put on her looks incredible.
"Briar" is wearing:
Sheryl Meyer's main outfit skirt/dress and belt
Loves.Glam shoes from the Fail Fix doll line
and, the most precious item in all of my doll collection, a 1991 Disney Classics Cinderella's puffy sleeve top. I love Selkie dresses and I'm so happy I ever managed to save this top for all these years. It's older than me!
I'm still trying to get a hold of the whole doll photography thing but at least that mousepad repurposed as a doll rug was a great find!
A set of spooky Sylvanian Families critters, just in time for Halloween!
I was working on making a whole haunted house for them like the other two custom houses I made but ran out of time to finish it. Maybe next year!
Let’s go Fishing!!
I wanted for so long to do a Sylvanian photoshoot in my local library and specifically in the archives! So I took a Chantilly cat and did a few takes. I gave him a little outfit that reminds me of Aziraphale and it's just perfect! (more pics to come!)
(Personnal pic. PLEASE REBLOG. Do not use or repost. Thanks! NSFW and kinks accounts DO NOT INTERACT!)
It's funny how Monster High and Rainbow High are suffering from opposite problems: MH makes too many dolls of their characters and RH doesn't make enough dolls of their characters
G3 has only been around for nearly a year and we have had 12 Draculauras in succession with minimal face screening variety meanwhile RH has about 81 characters and a small majority of them have gotten a few more dolls outside of their signature release.
They keep creating more new characters faster than the show can make us give us a rat's ass about the previous wave and it's starting to fatigue them (see series 3 of Shadow High) while MH keeps sticking to same 5 characters and is starting to bore everyone.
Make this DIY Haunted House Dollhouse out of cardboard, plywood or thick card material. Also, you can skip the black paint and make a dollhouse you can customize with scrapbook paper and fabric.
The scary dollhouse occupants are made out of pegs for peg dolls. There’s also a peg doll tutorial at the link.
Found my long lost Lalaloopsy stash, lol.
I posted this in the Granado themed thread on Den of Angels, and I thought I’d add it here too for those who’d like an insight on how I built the “Treasure Room” for this year’s @doll-granado photo contest. Maybe those tricks can help you build your own bjd space for immersive photos: The room I built can be taken down to pieces; Most of it is made of cheap foamcore sheets. - So you have the walls, which are two separate pannels of 5 black foamcore sheets glued together with hot glue. In the photoshoot I simply covered them with fabric to simulate a tapestry. - Then I built two different set of shelves in black foamcore, (foamcore and hot glue are really easy to work with and aren’t expensive.) Those two pieces are the most difficult to store afterward, but depending on what you make as furniture, you can use them to store your own stuff - The practical part of using foamcore is that you can pin stuff in it. This is how I made those little picture frame stick to the wall, the mirror, the unicorn tapestry and the curtain. When you’re done with your shooting, or if you need the space, just unpin everything and put them away. So you have a base set made of foamcore, and by changing the fabric on the wall and the deco around it, you can morph it into many different room design. Now let’s add a Granado face to this post: Funny fact: The two artwork on the right are actual paintings that were stolen and NEVER RECOVERED to this date “Poppy Flowers” by Vincent van Gogh, and “The Concert” by Johannes Vermeer Guess who’s the guilty party? hehehe
