Anonymous said - Hello how are you? I would like to please request a dhawan!master x reader request where the Master has to go and do something dangerous but he doesn’t want you going with them, they need to make it so you stay in the TARDIS. (Maybe the Master has tried to hypnotise the reader and the reader has said something like “I know what you’ll do if I look into your eyes.”) Maybe he could trick the reader into being hypnotised or use another method to keep the reader safe. Have a great night/day. P.s If you’re not comfortable then I understand.
(The image above is my copy of the request because I accidentally posted it too early and deleted it.)
Hello! Thank you for requesting, anon! I am finally getting this fic posted! I have had it finished for a bit now, but I had multiple anxiety attacks through the editing process on top of everyday executive dysfunction. So, I am really sorry that this took so long to post, but I hope that you enjoy this fic.
I will post this fic on Friday and link it below once it is posted.

--------------------------------------------------------------
Many would call Sunday mornings quiet and relaxing. You would even describe many of your past Sundays on Earth in that manner. You wouldn’t do so anymore, though. Sunday mornings were now Doctor Food Experiment Time.
In retrospect, it was funny that Doctor Food Experiment Time became a part of your and The Fam’s routine. The Doctor would have sudden interests that lasted a couple of weeks and then she would move on to something new but for some reason, the culinary arts stuck.
The Doctor must have been bored one Saturday night/Sunday morning and just started cooking and baking and brewing. When you and the fam woke up, the TARDIS kitchen was filled to the brim with her creations. None of them were what you would call successful, but some had potential. Ever since that one Sunday, The Doctor has made something for her Fam to try.
This morning, The Doctor’s experimental treat was hot chocolate. It sounds easy enough to make, but The Doctor was somehow able to ruin bread and butter. So, you were still wary about the marshmallow-topped mug before you.
“So, who’s game?” Graham asked when The Doctor stepped out of the kitchen to deal with something in the console room.
You and your friends had gotten into the habit of having one person try The Doctor’s Sunday experiment first and the rest of the group would gauge their friend’s reactions before joining in or excusing themselves. Surprisingly, The Doctor hadn’t caught on or she was just happy that her Fam were still entertaining her Sunday surprises.
“If I remember correctly, it’s Y/n’s turn to go first.”
“Thanks, Ryan.”
“It doesn’t look that bad.” Dan said optimistically as he inspected the beverage.
“How many times do I have to tell you never to trust The Doctor’s culinary skills, Dan?” Yaz retorted.
“It’s just hot chocolate.” Dan, the newest member of Team TARDIS, naively said.
“Rookie mindset.” Yaz said in a sing-songy voice, causing a couple of chuckles to echo around the table.
“You clearly weren’t here for the great Pop Rocks debacle, mate.” Graham joked. Some of the group laughed, but others groaned in pain at the mention of that memory. You saw Ryan absentmindedly scratch at the scar on his neck from The Doctor’s literal interpretation of Pop Rocks.
“But this time it might be good.” Yaz still hadn’t broken Dan’s persistent optimism.
“Are we forgetting that it’s Y/n’s turn?” Ryan spoke up again.
“Fine. Fine. I’ll bite the bullet.” You relented but sent Ryan a quick glare.
You lifted the cooling cup up from the table for a moment, but when you inspected the marshmallowy top you placed the mug back down. You sighed heavily. Then you quickly took a sip, after hyping yourself up, then swallowed the drink as fast as you could without tasting it. You leaned back in your chair, shocked, because the aftertaste was good. It was a mix of dark and milk chocolate with sweet marshmallow, and there were hints of nutmeg. Curiously and cautiously, you took another sip, to the astonished looks of all your friends. This time you savoured the flavour. It was even better than your first impressions of the drink.
“Wait, this is good.”
“Are you trying to trick us?” Graham couldn’t help but ask.
“No. This is amazing!”
Dan was the first to try the drink, he was always the optimist and had no reason to completely distrust The Doctor’s creation like the rest of The Fam did. When Dan didn’t react negatively, Graham tried the beverage. He gave a surprised hum of approval before going into a second sip. Ryan was the penultimate taster after hyping himself up first.
Yaz was the last to try the hot chocolate. She was the one who had the worst experiences with The Doctor’s previous creations, so it was understandable to The Fam that she would be apprehensive. No one aboard The TARDIS were big pranksters, and no one would devise a prank involving something that could poison another, even if the type of poisoning was food poisoning. Yaz stared back at every one of her friends staring at her, waiting. Finally, she chugged a good portion of the drink. She expected it to be horrible, but to her genuine surprise, the drink was good.
“You weren’t lying.”
“No!” You and your friends shouted at Yaz before all of you burst out laughing. This was such a rare, unusual occurrence in a sea of rare and unusual moments, but at least this moment didn’t result in an injury or a fallout between allies. It was just a fun day between friends and a surprisingly delicious mug of hot chocolate.
“Why do you all look like you just saw a paagnee in a honeywell?” The Doctor asked, returning to the kitchen. You and the rest of The Fam were instantly confused by the alien’s comparison.
“A what?” Ryan asked.
“Never mind, it’s nothing.” The Doctor brushed off her comment. She could explain it better in the presence of a paagnee in a honeywell.
“Doctor, this drink is so good!” You complimented the beverage when The Doctor rounded the kitchen table to stand by where you were sat.
“Thank you, Y/n. I was inspired to make some hot chocolate after you said that you wanted some now that it was autumn on Earth.”
“That’s really sweet of you, Doc. You didn’t need to do this for me, though.”
“Don’t be ridiculous! I did. It needed to be brilliant for you.”
“How long did this take you?” You questioned.
“I’ll never tell.” The Doctor held a finger to her lips to emphasise her statement.
“Because I will feel guilty?” You provided an answer for the alien.
“Yes, but it’s more -” The Doctor was cut off by Dan, whose chair skidded across the floor of the kitchen as he got up from his seat to refill his mug. The Doctor was annoyed but it might have been for the best, as she was going to say that ‘it was more romantic’ having her effort be a mystery if she wasn’t interrupted.
“How is this good?” Ryan questioned, curiously savouring his drink.
“It’s because it’s sugary.” Yaz retorted.
“No, there have been bad sugary things.” Graham corrected.
“How can you mess up something sugary?” Dan asked.
“You’d be surprised.” Yaz huffed.
“Are you sure you made this? It wasn’t The TARDIS?” Graham finally questioned The Doctor, interrupting the rest of The Fam’s bickering.
“The TARDIS did not make anything. She didn’t even help.”
“At all?” Graham continued.
“I can make good things!”
“Of course you can, Doctor.” You rubbed The Doctor’s back in an attempt to comfort her. The Doctor leaned into your seated frame but held up a finger to you in protest.
“Okay, now I feel like you are patronising me.”
“Well, you can make a brilliant hot chocolate.” You brought your mug back to your lips as The Fam chuckled. The Doctor pouted at her friends' reactions. This was not how she expected the morning would play out. She was hoping to woo you with her efforts. She didn’t know if she was successful in that matter, but at least you enjoyed her creation. That was a plus, at least. She would just have to find some other way to confess her feelings to you. For now, though, The Doctor relished in your presence and compliments.
I finally watched Knives Out and it was so good!
Pairing: Dh!Master x Autistic!Reader
Word Count: 3000
Summary: The Master has recently had an epiphany, and feels the need to impress the reader. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go quite to plan.
Hurt/comfort with autistic!reader.
Warnings: Sensory overload/shutdown, self-deprecating language
A/N: There is now a second part, linked above 😊
Unknown to you, The Master had recently had an epiphany of sorts - or rather, he had finally realised that his feelings for you had developed further than friendship. He had spent a few weeks trying to deny the fact, or get rid of the new feelings, but just as he thought he was successful you would do something cute like jumping up and down when you were happy and he would just fall in love with you again.
So now, he was coming up with a plan to win your affections, narrowing down his list of planets that would hopefully impress you enough that you might fall in love with him too.
After a few hours of some very detailed research he found the perfect planet, Zacrypso. It had pale pink skies and waters to match, and the grass was a vibrant blue-green. Though the main reason he wanted to take you there was for the sounds the crystal leaves make when they moved in the wind, it was supposed to be beautifully melodic (at least according to the brochure). Of course, he was going to take you to a time before anyone had found the planet, so you wouldn’t be interrupted by any blithering aliens.
Though you normally liked knowing exactly when and where the two of you were going, The Master had been able to convince you to take a surprise trip. There was a minor hiccup when he entered the co-ordinates and his TARDIS deleted everything he had typed in, causing him to start over again after a quick kick to the TARDIS console (which seemed to stop her from intervening any further).
Finally, the two of you arrived on the planet. The Master grinned at you, earning a slightly nervous smile on response. He wasn’t worried though, that would turn into a proper smile once you saw Zacrypso.
————
Truthfully, you were worried about a surprise trip. You always liked to know where you were going in advance so that you could prepare for any potential sensory issues or outright object if it was going to be too much of an issue. What didn’t help was the fact that you hadn’t actually told The Master about being autistic yet.
At first it had been because he already saw humans as weak and you didn’t want to give him anymore reasons to think that. Now though, it was more because the longer you put it off the more awkward it got, so you just tried to ignore that issue as best you could.
Still, you had been hesitant to accept his offer of a surprise trip, but when he looked at you with such an excited expression there was no way you could break his heart by rejecting his offer.
So now you were stood by his side in front of the TARDIS doors trying desperately to calm your nerves. When he opened the doors all of your nerves were momentarily put aside and replaced with wonder for the planet in front of you.
It was unlike anything you had ever seen, the colours were beautiful and you had to stop just to admire the place for a moment.
You were so focused on admiring the place that you didn’t notice the way The Master was looking at you as you slowly stepped out of the TARDIS (which had disguised itself as a purple-grey log).
“You like it?” He asked, and when you looked to him there was only a small and slightly smug smile on his face.
“Yes, it’s beautiful! Thank you Master.” You averted your gaze at the last bit in hopes to stop you from becoming overly flustered.
Unfortunately you could feel your heart beating away very quickly and you really hoped that his Time Lord hearing couldn’t pick up on the sound. The last thing you wanted was for him to kick you off the TARDIS because you had caught feelings for him and he didn’t reciprocate. Though in moments like these you couldn’t help but feel hopeful that maybe he had fallen for you too.
Pushing those thoughts aside, you followed him as he lead you further into the planet, towards a forest that you could just about make out in the distance. As you walked he would occasionally tell you facts about the planet, like why the sky was pink or why the grass was turquoise, but mostly you walked together in comfortable silence.
Once you started to get closer to the forest you heard a ringing in your ears, and while at first you thought it was just your head going funny, you soon realised that the noise was coming from the forest.
It was a strange sound, almost like wind chimes, it was beautiful and unlike anything you had ever heard before. Though, when you started to get closer to the forest the sound became a tad overwhelming. Still, you tried to ignore the growing tension in your body and continued in the direction of the noise.
Briefly, you looked towards The Master and saw a very satisfied smile on his face, showing he was clearly content, which urged you to carry on. Unfortunately, as you got closer and closer to the noise, you felt the tension in your body starting to grow as you became overwhelmed.
“What’s making that nose?” You asked The Master in hopes of distracting yourself.
“It’s the crystal leaves on the trees. As the wind moves around it creates different tunes. Basically like natural wind chimes.” His smile had grown while speaking to you and you felt your heart beating faster again, though now you weren’t sure whether it was because of him or the growing sense of discomfort.
The Master continued on and though you knew you were following him you were struggling to stay focused on anything other than the very loud and overwhelming noises.
No matter how much you wanted to stay for The Master, you knew that you wouldn’t be able to cope with it for much longer, and secretly started hoping that he would just get bored and decide to go back to the TARDIS.
————
The Master was overjoyed, because his plan was working. Seeing the look on your face when you saw the planet was almost enough to make him kiss you right there, though he managed to restrain himself. He loved watching you as the two of you walked towards the forest, so delighted by the planet he had taken you to and absolutely fascinated by any facts he had told you.
The two of you had finally made it to the forest and he was actually impressed that the leaves sounded exactly like the brochure had described. The Master had turned to look at you and he took in your wide eyes and small smile and, well, he had definitely hoped for a better reaction, but you were probably just in shock.
Then you had asked him about the noise and his smile grew after he described it to you and your face seemed slightly more in awe of the place he had taken you to. He continued on further, just taking in the surroundings. If he was being honest, it was quite nice to take a break from your usual adventures, which often involved some sort of crime. Like how on your last adventure the two of you had charmed your way into a royal court, just for the two of you to steal the planet’s most treasured jewels. He always loved the thrill that bought him - not to mention the money that was acquired after selling the goods off to the highest bidder - but he knew that he would probably enjoy any situation as long as you were content by his side.
He turned back to try and catch a glimpse of your awe-filled expression, only to see your eyes flickering all around the forest, and a clear tension in the way you were holding yourself. The Master had expected you to be excited and amazed, not panicked like you currently were. On that note, why were you panicked? He had checked the planet when the two of you had landed, there were no hostile life forms. In fact, the only life forms were the plants and small critters.
Upon realising that he had no clue what had caused your panicked state, he walked over to you.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked in his gentlest voice, trying not to scare you any further.
“It’s fine, I’m fine.” Your response was strained and he tried not to feel hurt that you were trying to hide your discomfort from him.
“No you’re not, what’s wrong (y/n)?”
There was a pause before you finally spoke, “it’s too much”.
“What’s too much?”
“The noise, it’s too much, it hurts.”
He could tell that you weren’t kidding from the way you were holding yourself and the tears that pricked at the edges of your eyes. However, he was still confused, his hearing was much more sensitive than yours, but the noise wasn’t hurting him. Still, he could worry about that later, right now he needed to get you out of the forest.
“Okay, uh, does putting your hands over your ears help?” You nodded, “okay, do that. Just follow me, yeah? I’ll get you away from the noise.” You nodded again and he started slowly guiding you out of the forest.
Every few steps he would look back to make sure you were still following him, until the two of you eventually made it out of the forest. The Master checked you over once before continuing to lead you to the TARDIS.
Honestly, he was scared, scared that you would blame him for whatever happened; scared that you would want to stop travelling; scared that you would never love him now. Though he was mostly scared that you wouldn’t be okay, and really that was all he wanted for you.
After what seemed like eternity but was really only a half-an-hour walk later, the two of you had made it back to the TARDIS. Pausing and resting his hand on the door, The Master looked over at you; your hands were still firmly over your ears despite the fact that you wouldn’t be able to hear the forest anymore, and your stare was burning a hole into the ground.
When he entered the TARDIS he saw a sofa in the console room that hadn’t been their previously, it had several pillows and a very soft looking yellow blanket on-top of it, as well as the headphones that he had seen you wearing around the TARDIS. You were stood rather awkwardly just inside the doorway, so he gently guided you to sit down on the sofa.
Automatically, you pulled the blanket up around yourself, giving The Master the opportunity to place your headphones on your head. Taking a step back he gazed as your slightly more relaxed form, you hadn’t said a word since the two of you had gotten out of the forest, and he was very worried that you wouldn’t want to speak to him again after this disaster of an idea.
Trying to distract himself from those thoughts, he made his way over to the console and started piloting away from Zacrypso. By the time the TARDIS had landed back in the time vortex, you had fallen asleep, and his heart twinged still hoe adorable you looked snuggled up on the sofa.
Walking as quietly as possible, he left the room and headed towards the kitchen, planning on getting you a drink and something to eat for when you would wake up. Even if you did want to leave after this, he was still going to take care of you.
————
When you woke up a few hours later you were confused and slightly groggy, especially since you were sat on a sofa in the TARDIS console room that had definitely never been there before. Beside you there was a small table with a glass of water and a sandwich placed on it. As you started to look around the room more you noticed that The Master was hunched underneath the console, and from what you could hear he was working on fixing or updating something.
Not wanting to disturb him, you grabbed the glass of water and tried not to think about your sensory overload that had happened earlier. You had known that a surprise trip wasn’t going to be a good idea, but now you were probably going to be kicked off the TARDIS for getting too upset over what was supposed to be a beautiful noise.
When you put the glass down it made more noise than you had anticipated, and The Master looked round to face you, finally noticing that you were awake. He placed down his tools before walking over to you and kneeling in front of where you were sat on the sofa.
“Are you feeling better? Is there anything you need?”
Okay, so that wasn’t exactly what you had been expecting. To be honest, you had been prepared for yelling and insults and tears, so his current behaviour had caught you off guard.
“Uhh, no I’m uh, I’m okay. Thanks.” You gave an awkward little laugh at the end of the sentence.
“Are you sure? I can get you anything you need.” He looked so hopeful that you would ask him to help you out, but at the moment you didn’t really need anything.
“I’m sure, I’m good now.” The smile that you gave him was small but genuine, and you hoped it would bring some comfort to him.
“Oh, okay.” Nodding to himself he stood up, and you expected him to get back to his work, but to your surprise he just sat down on the sofa next to you.
The two of you sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes before you finally gathered the courage to ask him some questions.
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
He looked up at you, seemingly shocked, “What do you mean?”
“It’s just, you hate humans. You think we’re weak and stupid and pathetic - I just thought that you would have taken this opportunity to finally kick me off the TARDIS…” As you spoke you got quieter and quieter, shrinking under his rather intense gaze.
“Yes, humans, but not you - you’re the exception. I could never see you as weak or stupid or pathetic. If anything I thought you’d want to leave because of me.”
“Because of you? Why?”
“Well, I took you to that planet. It’s my fault you got hurt. I should have done more research, to make sure it was 100% human safe. Rassilon, I still haven’t figured out why you were hurting in the first place.” He stood up at the last part and started pacing.
The Master seemed genuinely worried about you, and that was something you had never expected to see.
“It’s uh, it was my fault. I’ve been keeping something from you and if you had known this could have been easily avoided.” He turned to you with a puzzled look on your face but you didn’t let him say anything as you continued on. “I’m autistic, and I know I should have told you, but I just thought you’d see me as weak and you wouldn’t want me to travel with you.”
You were staring down at the floor, now very worried about what might happen. Did he even know what being autistic meant?
“Oh (y/n), I would never have thrown you off the TARDIS for that. I’d never throw you off the TARDIS full stop. And while you are completely right that if you had just told me that you’re autistic none of this would have happened, it was my fault for not making you feel as though you were in a safe enough environment to tell me.” The Master had come to sit next to you again, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything to him.
No one had ever reacted like that when you told them you were autistic, why was it that the psychopathic alien who had committed genocide on multiple occasions was being kinder to you than most people you had known?
“I guess we’re both idiots then.” You chuckled, trying to ease some of the tension. “Next time something like this happens, I’ll tell you as soon as things start to get too much - that way you won’t have to worry about me.”
“I think I’ll be worrying about you anyways, but it would be nice to know when you need my help.” He smiled at you fondly and you found yourself very flustered yet again. Luckily you didn’t have to speak just then, as he continued on. “How about we spend today in the TARDIS watching stupid movies and playing games, and then we get back to committing crimes tomorrow?”
Forcing yourself to look back up at him, you felt a smile form on your face, “that sounds great.”
The Master stood up from the sofa, held his hand out to you and lifted you up as well, not letting go of your hand even as the two of you started walking down one of the corridors.
You finally felt like you had a weight had been lifted off your shoulders after finally telling him one of your secrets. Of course, you still had another secret, and before today’s events you had never even considered telling him of your feelings for him. However, given the way he had taken care of you, you had a little hope that maybe he could like you back.
Still, that was definitely a confession for another day, for now you were just going to enjoy spending time with The Master.
Hiya!! 4 and 14 for the ask game? :D
Hiii bestie! :) I am answering this now (when I am tipsy) because I had a busy homework day on Sunday.
4. Who's wardrobe would you like to steal?
I think that I already dress similarly to Capaldi!Doctor/Twelfth Doctor, especially during the wintertime. Just tons of plaid trousers and ratty old sweaters and hoodies. And I dress like Rose Tyler on casual days. So I could share wardrobes with them.
However, I think that I might like to steal Martin!Doctor/ The Fugitive Doctor's wardrobe or Dhawan!Master's.
I'm not really sure why, but I love The Fugitive Doctor's outfit. I might have some sensory issues with the tuffy ruffles of her shirt because I don't know material it's made out of, but I love the look of her vibrant shirt covered by the TARDIS-like blue of her suit.
And The Master is The Master. They are always classy. I saw your post praxeus-13 with this number, and I totally agree with you! Dhawan!Master's outfit gives me gender envy! I want to look as good as he does!
But, also, I want all of The Doctor's and The Master's coats! I need them!
And (finally as a drunk note) I just wish that I looked good in ties, bowties, suspenders, etc. I don't think I do, which makes me sad, but I always looked to The Doctor and The Master as the pinnacle of fashion and my genderfluid self wants to look like those genderfluid alien.
14. What's a song or piece of writing that you associate with a character/story arc/relationship on the show?
I love looking through soundtracks for any form of media; it's one of my favourite things to do when I become invested in a new show/movie/etc. So, I definitely find myself listening to songs from Doctor Who in my day-to-day life. Rasputin by Bony M, Voodoo Child by Rogue Traders, I Can't Decide by The Scissor Sisters, Chances by Athlete, etc.
I listen to Skyfall by Adele a lot when thinking about Spyfall parts 1 and 2.
And I think of Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams when I think of Tennant!Doctor/Tenth Doctor because of episode The Christmas Invasion.
Now a list of my random maladaptive daydream song choices -
Where Did The Time Go? by Dr. Dog - Travelling with The Doctor or Master
Ruler of Everything by Tally Hall - Master vibes
Problem by Mother Mother - The Master x their love interest
Arms Tonight by Mother Mother - That one scene from Last of The Time Lords where The Master died in The Doctor's arms
As The World Falls Down by David Bowie - The Master seducing their lover
Cold Cold Cold by Cage the Elephant - This song reminded me of Vincent Van Gogh, but also my own struggles with depression and anxiety
Spillways by Ghost - This song reminds me of all the trauma both The Doctor and The Master faced at the hands of Gallifreyan Elders, but this song is also the inspiration for a fic/maybe fic series I am making about The Reader being the Timeless Child (thanks to a very kind anon)
And finally (I have more if anyone is interested) Sunflower, Vol 6 by Harry Styles reminds me of Vincent Van Gogh
"This thing about being a rebel, being an outsider, also has its price. I always took a step away from everyone else. (...) That’s just how I was. I didn’t join our school trip in the ninth grade and I didn’t go to the graduation either, because I didn’t want to join in. I didn't belong there. Even now in adulthood when I have a lot of things that I should be happy about and I’m really as far from all that as possible, I still have… I don’t know if it’s a nightmare, but I have a recurring dream where I’m still that age and I’m at home, alone, feeling as if I shouldn’t be there, that I should be where the others are but I'm not."
- Tobias Forge, Sweden Rock Mag 2020
"It's so important to spend time together, and have fun together, smiling together, feeling you're belonging somewhere, don't you think? It is a wonderful feeling. I've always felt that if I just got to the end of the rainbow, whatever is there, I will find belonging... And I'm assuming that this is it. The belonging that we're sharing."
- Papa Emeritus IV's speech in Indianapolis 8/22/2023

------------------------------------------------------------
The Master actually liked you. Which was surprising to him. He very rarely liked any of The Doctor’s companions and he definitely never felt anything like this toward one of The Doctor's little playthings. The Master was in denial about his crush on you. But every so often he would find himself daydreaming about you.
The Master didn’t know how to deal with these feelings. He rarely developed feelings for anyone, let alone a companion of his best enemy. So, naturally, he separated you from your friends, tied you to a chair and threatened to torture you. That was clearly the best way for him to confess his feeling for you.
You were currently mechanically handcuffed to a rigid and cold metal chair. The tranquilliser that The Master used to knock you out and kidnap you was wearing off, but its effects were still messing with your mind. Your vision was still blurred, but you could hear the pacing steps of The Master circling you.
“Well, well, well … The Doctor’s little pet … Finally awake.”
“Let me go.” You slurred.
“And why would I do that, love?” The Master leant down to peer into your eyes. To you, maybe because of the drugs you were on or maybe just the whole situation, The Master looked menacing, like he was trying to look into your soul. In actually, though, The Master was inspecting your features to see if the tranquilliser was wearing off properly. He wanted to trap you in order to tease you about both of your growing healings for each other, not cause you to have an allergic reaction to an alien substance.
“Just don’t do this!” You exclaimed, more frustrated about not being able to move rather than being taunted by The Master.
“That doesn’t sound like a good reason to me. What makes you think that I will let you go when I could just torture you and kill you.” The Master booped your nose, so as to see how well your reflexes have adapted to the drugs in your system. You flinched back as much as you could, so the drugs were indeed wearing off as they were meant to. The Master leant back and began circling you again.
With the tranquilliser still in your system, though, it was making you more paranoid than normal. You began looking around for an exit and started pulling roughly against your restraints, along with beginning to breathe heavily and heave breaths. You felt like the room was closing in on you and the restraints felt like they were tightening around your body.
As soon as The Master saw the state you were in, he realised how much he messed up. Quickly, The Master ran to help you.
“Woah, woah, now. Don’t do that.” The Master yelled in a panic state, but you were too consumed by your panic to react to him.
The Master quickly unclasped the handcuffs attaching you to the chair. Then, with his alien strength, safely carried you from the chair so you were now laying on the cold ground.
The Master had one hand cradling your head and his thumb rested against your temple and his other hand was placed over your heart. He then pressed his forehead against yours and sent waves of calming hypnotism into your mind until he felt your heartbeat slow to a normal Human pace.
“Come on, my little Human. Nothing’s going to happen to you.” The Master spoke as he leant back a bit, he inspected your body for any signs of harm.
“Really?” You squeaked out the question and creaked your eyes open. The light in the room was shining too brightly into your eyes. The Master saw this and leaned forward, closer to your face, in order to block the light from hitting your eyes.
“Really. It was just a bit of teasing, flirting if you will. I didn’t mean to scare you.” The Master continued to caress your face, near your temple.
“I wouldn’t call that teasing. It was more like torture.” You joked.
“I haven’t interacted with Human beings in a long time. I’m trying my best.”
“I should teach you about Human flirting, then. Some time.”
“Sometime very soon I expect.” The Master smirked hopefully. You nodded, blessed out and still a little hazy. But then you heard the distant yelling from The Doctor. Despite the anxiety attack you just experienced, you really didn’t want this moment to end with The Master.
“Are you prepared to be questioned by The Doctor at this moment?” The Master asked while peering into your eyes with concern.
“I don’t think so.”
“You can always stay in my TARDIS for a bit. We can go to a relaxing planet and then I can return you to The Doctor. She will never know that you agreed to travel with me, I will simply say that I kidnapped you.”
“I’d like that.” You smiled genuinely. The Master then smiled his classic cheeky smile before scooping you up into his arms and caring you to his TARDIS.

Maybe where they reunite for the first time after Missy’s death and admit they both still love each other despite the regeneration?”
I accidentally deleted the original request, so this is my copy.
But I finally got this fic posted in time for this year’s Hunter’s Moon! I was stressing myself over editing this fic again.
I really hope that you enjoy this fic :) I had a lot of fun writing it and I may or may not have cried while writing it. But yeah, i just hope that you like this!
Back In The Old Cemetery - Dhawan!Master x Reader with references to previous Gomez!Master x Reader.
Hello! So happy to see a new fic blog, especially one that has fics for the Master! May I request a fluffy Dhawan!Master x reader in which the reader is the doctor’s companion but doesn’t want to admit she’s in love with the Master? And you can choose the circumstances, but maybe the master “captures” and hypnotizes her in front of the fam and she accidentally reveals it? Thank you so much! I loved “warmth” a lot. 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much! I absolutely loved this request as I was already planning on writing something along these lines. I couldn’t find a way to get the hypnotism to work but everything else is there so I hope you enjoy!

You really hadn’t meant to fall for The Master, but intention never seemed to stop anyone when it came to falling in love.
When you first met him, as O, you weren’t quite sure what to think. He was a bit strange, but still sweet - and while he wasn’t your type, you couldn’t deny that he was very attractive. However, there were a few moments when you would look at O and see someone else, and that person interested you. Looking back now, you knew that you had seen his persona slip, even if just for a second, and that had been what had drawn you to him.
When he had revealed himself on the plane it had only drawn you in more. Of course, you had been terrified in the life or death situation, but you had also felt a buzz of excitement and intrigue. If he hadn’t have left you to die on that plane, you know that there was a chance you would have gone with him.
Then The Doctor had sent him off to the Kasaarvin’s dimension and you had lost hope of ever seeing him again, only for him to show up two weeks later.
The Doctor had taken you all to some market planet, given you a credit stick and told you to go off and explore. Originally, you had been wandering around with Graham, but then you had gotten sidetracked and lost sight of him. You had also lost sight of anything else that you recognised so you had started to amble around in hopes of finding someone or something to help.
At first, you hadn’t even seen The Master, so focused on your surroundings that you almost walked right into him, and you barely understood what was happening when he grabbed your arm and dragged you down a quiet side alley.
When you had finally recognised who he was and what had happened, you had been to shocked to stutter out a full sentence. That had caused him to smirk and cockily ask if he was the only one who could leave you speechless, which only made you more flustered.
Once you had finally managed to compose yourself you asked how he was alive, a question that he had ignored in favour of pushing you up against the closest wall and kissing you. It took your brain a few seconds to catch up with the fact that he was actually kissing you before you started to kiss back. Then he had swiftly broken off the kiss and told you that he’d be seeing you, before walking out of the alleyway and back into the bustling streets.
By the time you had finally made it back to the rest of the group, you had managed to get your brain back to its normal working order. Though, when your friends asked you where you had been you told them you simply told them that you had gotten lost after spotting something interesting, resolving not to bring up The Master at all.
True to his promise, he had shown up again about a week after that, kissing you senseless yet again and leaving with little explanation.
After this happened a few times, always when you got separated from the group, you started to have proper conversations with each other. A first they were only about whatever trouble he had caused on the planet to distract The Doctor with, but soon you had started to talk to each other more and more about your lives. He wasn’t as stingy on details as The Doctor was, but you could tell he was still keeping quite a bit of information from you.
Then he started showing up at your apartment, which was a little bit concerning, but he always knocked rather than just bursting in like you knew The Doctor would, so you didn’t really mind. Soon enough your relationship had changed from just meeting up and making out for five minutes, to meeting up and talking for a few hours. Though it was slow, you felt yourself start to fall in love with this strange alien man.
Of course, this caused a lot of internal conflict, especially considering you were still travelling with The Doctor and the rest of the fam. You knew that they were your friends - practically a second family at this point - but you feared that if they ever found out about your relationship with The Master you would loose them. So you kept quiet and tried to pretend that you weren’t secretly dating the man who had tried to kill you all. Every time the two of you met up on one of your trips with The Doctor was both exhilarating and frightening, and while you loved seeing him all the time you were always worried that one of your friends would catch you with him.
When The Master invited you to travel with him instead of The Doctor several months into your relationship, you didn’t quite know what to say. You knew that you loved him, but you had never been able to say it aloud, and you weren’t even sure if he loved you back. As well, it wasn’t like you didn’t like travelling with The Doctor and the fam; it was brilliant, even if you did end up running for your life on most adventures, and you weren’t sure if you were ready to leave them just yet.
Unfortunately, you had taken too long to give The Master an answer, and he ended up storming off without stopping when you cried out his name, not caring to listen to any explanation you had to give.
That had been a month ago and you hadn’t heard a word from him since, which had only upset and worried you. Even if you weren’t ready to travel with him then, you had hoped that you could still be in a relationship with him. You knew that your friends had noticed your mood, and they had all tried to talk to you about it, but you reassured them that you were okay and didn’t say anything more.
————
Now you were on another adventure with your friends, using it again to distract yourself from debating whether you and The Master had broken up or whether he was going to randomly show up and pretend that nothing happened. The planet that you had landed on was overrun with nature, and the ruins of whatever civilisation had been there previously were barely noticeable.
Somehow The Doctor had managed to find a very large cathedral-like building that was still mostly in tact, which was what you were currently exploring.
Without any warning you were grabbed from behind and pulled into someone’s tight grip, causing you to yelp and try to struggle away. Then you noticed who exactly had a hold of you and you stopped struggling as much, making a conscious effort to not relax completely into the hold that you had gotten so used to after the last few month.
Your friends had turned around at the noises and their faces were now a mix of anger and concern, glaring at The Master.
“Let her go.” The Doctor told him, her tone indicating her worry.
“Well, I would, but I think (y/n) is quite comfortable in my arms Doctor.” He spat his response at her, tightening his grip further, but still making sure not to hurt you.
You were trying to resist looking up at him, because you knew you wouldn’t be able to hide the love that your expression would hold.
“No, you’re scaring her, now let her go and I might consider giving you whatever you’ve come here for.”
In your chest your heartbeat had started to pick up speed, you could see that The Master was trying to let onto your friends about your relationship, and you only hoped that he wouldn’t actually say anything.
“Hmm, seems I know your companion better than you.” At this comment you finally looked at him, hoping that he would see the look in your eyes and just walk away without saying anything.
He didn’t look down at you though, and just stayed glaring at The Doctor.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” The Doctor was starting to sound irritated, but there was a hint of fear in her voice as well.
Still trying to stop him from revealing your relationship, you squeezed his hand and tried to get his attention. Unfortunately, he continued to ignore you, and you started to feel much more anxious.
The Master let out a hysteric sounding laugh at The Doctor’s question, and it wasn’t anything like the soft laugh you had grown used to. Though you hated to admit it, he was starting to scare you.
“You don’t even have a clue of what I’m talking about.”
Looking back at the four of them to gauge their reactions, you could see that Yaz and The Doctor were very close to piecing it all together, and Ryan and Graham wouldn’t be too far behind. Instinctively, you pressed further into The Master’s hold, trying to feel some semblance of comfort or safety. Obviously he knew what you were trying to do, he had gotten used to you snuggling close to him whenever you watched a scary movie or had a nightmare, and, either consciously or unconsciously, he started to stroke the back of your hand with his thumb.
“No…” The Doctor’s gasp could barely be heard, but it still caused your gaze to fall to the floor in shame.
You knew that you probably shouldn’t love him, but you did, and now you were going to face the consequences. All you hoped is that after loosing your friends, you wouldn’t loose The Master too.
“Yes.” The Master replied gleefully.
“You can’t- you must have hypnotised (y/n)! She wouldn’t willingly enter a relationship with you.”
“Well, clearly she would, because she did. I haven’t hypnotised her, or threatened her, or drugged her. (Y/n) is with me by choice.” The Master was very clearly pissed off at the implementation that he would do anything to injure you.
Honestly, you were slightly annoyed at it too, the only time he had ever come close to harming you had been on Barton’s plane, and you had gotten out of that alright in the end. You squeezed his hand for comfort again, and this time he squeezed back, calming you down slightly.
“Stop playing games and give (y/n) back.” The Doctor’s voice sounded almost dangerous now, and you were starting to worry for both your safety and The Master’s.
However, The Master seemed unfazed as he ignored her and continued to hold you, “You know it’s true, I can see it in your eyes, but if you’re still having trouble believing it then why don’t you just ask (y/n)?”
Of course he would put you on the spot, you had known him long enough to realise that this whole setup was coming from a place of vulnerability. He was worried that you were going to leave him, that you didn’t care for him anymore, and instead of talking to you about it he was lashing out. It was something that you had been trying to work on with him, but after your hesitation to answer his proposal of travelling with him, he had jumped to conclusions and this was the result.
The silence after he had told The Doctor to question was so deafening that you swore your frantic heartbeat was echoing around the abandoned building. You forced yourself to look up, to look at The Doctor in the eye, and it seemed to be the push she needed.
“(Y/n)?” She didn’t need to ask the question, it was already hanging in the air.
“I chose to be in a relationship with him, he didn’t force me into it.” And then, much quieter, you added on, “I love him.”
Part of you had hoped that no one would have heard what you said, but the room you were in had been dead silent. The Master’s grip on you relaxed in shock, holding you as though you were fragile enough that you could shatter like glass. You tilted your head towards him so you could see his reaction, still slightly worried that he wouldn’t reciprocate.
He seemed to be staring down at you with awe and love, and you couldn’t quite believe that he was looking at you like that.
“You love me?” He asked you, his voice impossibly soft.
You simply nodded in response, unable to form any words. The Master bought one of his hands up to cup your face lightly, as though he was still afraid of breaking you.
“I love you too.” He was almost whispering when he said it but a smile immediately formed on your face.
He leant in to kiss you and you kissed him back eagerly. Unfortunately the kiss was cut short by a not so subtle cough from the direction of your friends.
Still comfortably in The Master’s hold, you turned to face your friends again, feeling your face heating up as you blushed.
“Okay, am I the only one who’s really confused?” Ryan asked, looking around at the rest of your friends for confirmation.
He got a chorus of ‘no’s’ in response and if it wasn’t such a strange situation you might have laughed.
“Yeah, how come you’re in love with the guy who tried to kill us? Cause I feel like I’ve missed a lot.” Graham asked, as clueless as he usually was.
“I’m pretty sure that (y/n) has been secretly dating The Master.” Yaz piped up, and you were slightly glad that she had answered for you.
“Yeah that’s basically the gist of it.” You laughed awkwardly, yet again squeezing The Master’s hand for comfort.
They seemed to mull over this for a few minutes, before The Doctor finally spoke up again.
“(Y/n), are you sure that you want to be with him?” She asked you, and for once it was a question that you could answer easily.
“Yes, I am.” You smiled at her, and you knew that The Master was probably smiling at you.
“Then I suppose I can’t do anything to stop you from loving him.” Then she turned her focus to The Master, “but if you hurt her expect serious consequences!”
He rolled his eyes, “I wouldn’t expect anything less, but I won’t hurt them.”
The Doctor and your other friends then proceeded to interrogate the two of you (though they were mainly focused on The Master) about your relationship. Even if it was slightly annoying, you appreciated their concern and protectiveness over you. During the ordeal The Master constantly acted as though he was extremely annoyed and offended at their interrogation, though you could tell that he was glad you had such good friends - even if one of them was his best enemy.
Eventually the six of you made it back to the two TARDISes, and you all paused outside. He hadn’t bought up the question of whether you would join him in his TARDIS since the first time, and you were still slightly worried that you had missed your opportunity.
Then he turned to you, still holding on of your hands even though you were no longer in his hold, “Want to travel with me?”
He asked with such hope in his expression that you felt your heart melt, even after you had rejected him the first time he was still holding out hope.
A wide grin formed on your face and you nodded, “I’d love to.”
He grinned back and pulled you in for another kiss, much to the disgust of your friends.
The next thirty minutes were spent packing up your possessions and moving them from The Doctor’s TARDIS to The Master’s. That was then followed by teary hugs as you said goodbye to your friends and made promises to call and meet up with them whenever you were all on Earth at the same time. The Doctor made sure that you knew to call her if anything ever went wrong, promising that she’d be there immediately.
Despite the grief that you felt leaving your friends and that chapter of your life behind, you were eager to start travelling with The Master and to see how your relationship would develop. The Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz had definitely become a second family to you, but you knew that this wasn’t going to be the last time you saw any of them.
Holding The Master’s hand, you let him pull you into his TARDIS as you waved goodbye to your friends, before turning around and beaming at him. As soon as the door was shut he pushed you up against it and kissed you senseless - reminding you very much of your first kiss with him.
“Where to first, love?” The Master asked as he brushed a stray piece of hair away from your face.
“Anywhere, as long as it’s by your side.”

There was a random knock on your door, jarring you away from your reading. You were too confused to act at first, you hadn’t ordered anything online, and you hadn’t even ordered takeout. There was no reason for there to be a knock at your door today. You found your bookmark, but not as fast as you would have hoped. The bookmark, having fallen and cocooned itself within the blanket strewn across your lap, made itself very hard to find. The knocking increased rapidly as you finally escaped your soft prison. You haphazardly placed the book on the nearby coffee table, which was riddled with random objects and dishware because of your lack of cleaning your apartment recently.
You stumbled to the door; legs sore from sitting for so long. You rifled a hand through your still slightly damp hair as you opened the door quickly, having grown annoyed by the knocking that seemed to grow in volume and in pace. Whoever was on the other side of your front door seemed to be in an impatient mood. Your eyes went wide with shock when the identity of the annoying knocking person was revealed.
“What are you doing here, Master?” Your tone was confused, and a bit angry, he had been unusually quiet for months, ceasing all calls and texts and especially visits. You assumed that he got into trouble with some alien government he tried to scam once in the past or he was aware of the current pandemic and just wanted to avoid the whole debacle, or, even more likely, both options simultaneously. No matter what his reasoning for not communicating for so long, it still stung for him to abandon you so abruptly and coldly.
“What?! Y/n, I thought that you would be happy to see me! I’m sorry for not talking to you for a week,” your mouth fell open in shock, which he didn’t notice due to his rambling and his dramatic hand movements, “but I’ve been busy, scheming, planning, overthrowing planets … did you change your hair …” He finally noticed something, at least. He seemed unaware of the fact that his week of adventures had been four months of quarantine for you, but at least he noticed was something. You allowed him into your living room, hoping that he would close the door behind him as you picked up and organised some stacks of books, random discarded hoodies and old takeout menus that might become useful if The Master were to spend the night.
“Oh, yeah, I might have had a breakdown a couple of weeks ago and just made an impulsive decision. Said decision being based on a couple of months of questioning if I would look good with a different hairstyle…,” you looked at him in the middle of tidying up to see The Master now shocked. You imagined that your face and demeanour mirrored his current appearance when you opened the door, which might have explained his smirk then. The look of being verbally or situationally lost and left to pick up the pieces was funny to witness, and confusion and shock looked very cute on his face, making this situation bearable.
“Do you like it?!” You questioned to draw him out of his running mind.
The Master stuttered a bit, looking anywhere but your face, “Y-yes, I like it. You look … nice.” He stroked his eyebrow with his finger before helping you move some books from the coffee table, he still did not understand exactly what situation he left you in. With the general area around the coffee table and couch relatively clear, you offered him a seat while you went to go make some tea for the two of you.
He didn’t take you up on that offer, however. He merely followed you into the kitchen silently, resolving to lean against the counter and stare at you as you worked. He was still confused, but his shock mellowed a bit. You were always a mystery to him. You were a strange little Human that made him feel things. Things that were meant to be an impossibility for him to feel. Now he had to work out the mystery of what had occurred in your life since he dropped you off at your flat. And given the fact that he was already agonising over the mystery of how you had so much power over him, he preferred not to overwork himself.
“How long have I been gone, for you?” You looked at him in the middle of a journey to retrieve a jug of milk. His face was calm, but his eyes were large and sad, searching every part of your body, excruciatingly trying to find any differences in you or your personality other than your new haircut. He feared that you might have done more to yourself during your self-described breakdown.
“Almost five months. You dropped me off right before the quarantine was enacted.” you handed him a purple mug you had bought for him, but he insisted that you keep it at your flat in case he threw it during one of his infamous fits of rage. He thanked you for the tea and acknowledged the time apart but questioned the quarantine. Five months wasn’t awful by his standards, maybe to yours, but you were Human. He knew, however, how much trauma and tragedy can make a short time feel like forever and make a person desperate for the agony to be over.
“You know, the covid-19 crisis. The crisis reaching pandemic levels that certain world leaders are trying to ignore until it goes away. You know ... that quarantine.” You tried to joke, both to cheer yourself up from the past five months of boredom and fear and as an attempt to get The Master to smile. He did not smile, unfortunately, he kept staring at you, eyes searching for any pain in your words and actions.
He placed his mug down on the kitchen counter, then softly removed your mug from your hands and placed it on the counter in order to join his own. He turned back to you, stepping closer, ghosting his fingers over your own. He was secretly asking your permission to hold your hands. Which you accepted, interlocking your fingers together.
“I’m sorry.” He spoke so softly that it alarmed you. He had only spoken with you this softly one moment before, after being trapped on Earth for 77 years. He brought your interlocked fingers up to his lips to kiss your knuckles.
“I did not mean to be away for so long. I wouldn't have even left you if I knew you would be forced to be on Earth alone. Especially for nearly five months!” You removed his hand from yours, his eyes shone with hurt at the loss of contact until he realised that you were trying to readjust the two of you into a hug. The Master clung to you, resting his head in the crook of your neck. He would occasionally kiss and nip at your soft skin, but go back to breathing in your scent, grounding himself in your comforting presence. He hated being alone without you. You hated being alone without him. Neither of you spoke about this, but you both knew of the other's feelings.
“You would tell me if you were hurting right?” He hugged you slightly tighter, causing the buttons of his waistcoat to dig into your stomach.
“Of course, why?” He could tell that you weren’t lying, and he smiled at your loyalty but brought himself back to what you had mentioned.
“You said that you had a breakdown.”
“Well, I did message you. You didn’t answer, but I guess that has to do with a weird time thing.” He shook his head in disbelief at your Human memory.
“Yes, weird time thing, thank you for using the technical term I taught you. My phone will adjust to the correct time, eventually.” As soon as he said that, almost like magic, his phone went off with a series of dings and vibrations.
“Why isn’t it automatic? Like when you go to a different time zone?” The Master looked you in the eye, and you knew what he was going to say.
“Weird time thing.” The two of you simultaneously spoke. The Master began to scroll through the barrage of old messages that finally appeared, growing more and more disgruntled and worried with each new message. His forehead creased and his brows furrowed, his mouth was set in a permanent frown. Upon reading one message, he drew his lip into his mouth and bit it anxiously, something you had never seen him do. Maybe it was a habit he picked up from watching you do it so many times. But he quickly returned to his seriously stern expression when he realised you were watching him.
You were tired of this, and you didn’t want to see his reactions to the voicemails you left him, which were even more anxiety-ridden and depressed in nature. You tore the phone from his grip and pocketed it. Before he could complain, you enveloped him in another hug.
“I’m fine now, Master. You’re here. Please stop worrying about me.” He reciprocated the hug, cradling your head in his shaking, worry-caused, hand.
“I will never stop worrying about you -” You cut him off, guessing what he was going to say.
“Yes, because I am a pathetic little Human. I'm from too fragile of a species to actually take care of myself properly. Blah. Blah. Blah. I heard this speech five months ago!” You chuckled into his neck, which he loved the feeling of, but he corrected you.
“Actually, I was going to say that I will never stop worrying about you because I care about you.” You tried to look at his face, but The Master’s tight grip on you kept you pressed against him.
The two of you never talked about your feelings toward each other, but both of you knew that feelings were present. You would both hold each other for long periods of time, like this one. You would kiss each other on the cheek, forehead, hands, neck, basically anywhere except for each other’s mouths because that might have been too intimate in the past. The two of you would even jokingly call out to each other with the moniker ‘my loving spouse’. The two of you would also occasionally say that you loved each other, but always in tones of jest to try and mask the truth and weight of the words. Maybe the wall you both put up was finally breaking down.
Out of nowhere, The Master shot backwards from the hug, placing his hands on your forearms to keep you in place, as he cracked a cheeky smile.
“Idea! Do you want to get off of this miserable planet and go on an adventure?” You breathed a sigh of relief, desperate to do something off of the planet Earth and to get out of the emotional state that you have been in recently.
“Absolutely! An adventure anywhere sounds fantastic!” His smile grew even wider at your response. He rolled his shoulders back in confidence, grabbing you by the neck and giving you a kiss on the forehead before running to your door and, subsequently, his TARDIS, pulling you in tow. He bounded inside, leaving you to close the door of the TARDIS, as you had left him in a similar state earlier. However, The Master’s excited attitude crumbled as a loud beeping began emitting from the console.
“What is that noise?” You questioned by his side, trying to understand the Gallifreyian writing flashing on the console screen.
“It’s an alarm.” He grumbled, he leaned his hands on the console, his head falling down between his shoulders.
“Yeah, I can see that, but what's alarming you about what? What’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing,” he said sarcastically, raising his head and talking with his hands dramatically, “Just an alarm informing us that no individuals can leave the planet Earth or this period in time for the foreseeable future until the virus dies down!” He walked over and slumped down onto a nearby sofa, his head falling in his hands. You walked over to sit beside him, wrapping an arm around his back to massage his shoulders and leaning your head against his.
“I know how much you hate Earth, Master, especially being stuck on it, but at least you won’t be alone. You have me this time.” He looked up at you, eyes holding back tears. He really didn’t want to have to do this all over again.
“I love you, Y/N.” This was his way of thanking you for being beside him when no one has ever done that before, and also his promise to not leave you alone like he just accidentally had. It might have been accidental, but he still felt guilty. A tear fell from his beautiful and inviting eyes. You reached up to wipe it away.
“I love you, too, Master.” This was you making the same promise to stay by his side and the same declaration of appreciation for his willingness to stay with you. You took the opportunity of this soft moment to place an impulsive kiss on his lips like you always wanted to. It was just a peck, though, but The Master deepened the kiss in a fervour. He passionately held your face in his hands and caressed your cheekbones with all of the pent of love for you he has trying to suppress since he met you. The two of you broke apart, eventually, both breathless with bruised lips.
You and The Master ended up holding each other until you both fell asleep, there on the TARDIS console room sofa, blissfully unprepared for what your future would throw at you but determined that the two of you would make it through. As long as you each had each other, you and The Master would make it out together. No matter what.
