You’re the most recognised and internationally praised superhero, but you don’t fight any crime. Instead, you use your powers over stone and metal to repair the damage caused by the catastrophic fights other heroes get into.
the antiqueer laws in Russia are bad and I do not blame those Russians for having fears about it, and as usual the relationship between a government and it’s civilians are complicated, especially for civilians who are marginalized by said government. It’s not as simple as “no agency and responsibility” nor “completely equal to and responsible for everything the government does” and fundamentally, everyone deserves safety and their human rights to be respected.
That being said, it’s hard to not feel frustrated when people are perfectly willing to acknowledge Russian queers as victims but other Central and Eastern European countries are treated as being like a blackhole of queerphobia that erases the lgbtq community in them. It’s like when Russia is oppressive, the lgbtq community deserves recognition and those in the less homophobic and transphobic countries should be grateful. But when those same countries *are* being queerphobic, then they should be destroyed and the lgbtq people there are treated like a hypothetical. And it’s especially frustrating when people say we can’t aid Ukraine in protecting its civilians from bombs because thebadthings™️, but we can support Russians in spite of their government being one of the largest imperialistic forces in the world right now.
I can’t really blame the Ukrainians who’ve been getting bombed for nearly two years now, and have been at war for nearly a decade with Russia, and who have been dismissed and shat on by the same Russians who are begging for aid now, for being at least a little begrudging about it. Especially when many westerners didn’t give a shit about queer Ukrainians and didn’t want aid sent there because they saw Ukraine as an inherently anti-lgbtq nation.
Do people forget what TERF stands for? Do people forget what the R and F mean?
You don’t need to say “Radfems and terfs’. That’s like saying "I hate flowers and roses”
... Man, IDW doesn’t pull their punches.
Thank you for answering, I appreciate it
Bit of a morbid question, but what moments in series do you find the most sad or heartbreaking? For me it was Starscream's beating after Megatron came, Megatron almost getting killed by Whirl; and his origin as a watchmaker, when Blurr wasn't answering Swerve's calls, and Megs final goodbye to the Lost Light crew for his trial.
Ravage's death BEST CATBOY DIDN'T DESERVE THIS
DIE IN A FIRE TREPAN
Starscream's sacrifice I'm asjdshgffffff goodbye goblin man ;;
Oh. Ohhhhhhhh
I felt so fucking bad for Mirage throughout IDW it was honestly a wonder he didn't turn Decepticon after what Ironhide (and technically, Sunstreaker) did to him pretty much on no fault of his own.
even if u only watched the movies or the show, ur media literacy is shot
Superior Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider in “The Haunting” mission from Spider-Man Unlimited.
There is 100% less “SpOck and Kaine trying to strangle each other” in this scene than there should be.
Can you share that interns tweet?
1. Sam Maggs claims credit for naming Rivet
2. Intern at the time (now programmer) calls her on her bullshit and brings up how much of a toxic element she was (in a polite tone).
3. Maggs has to backpedal about being the one who named Rivet and pivots to "I'm angry because it was a team effort" when, in reality, she was clout chasing.
4. What Maggs hasn't done is address is she's been lying and trying to steal credit from the person who actually came up with the name for at least a 5 months.
November 2021. She was called out on March 2022. She's a shitheel who is purely out for herself. And remember, she left the project (possibly fired because she's toxic) 1.5 years before the game was finished, with other writers taking over for her.
Which means that anything she said about Rivet as a character is null and void. Her claims about both named Rivet and that Rivet is actually gay are both attempts at grabbing attention.
Why, you ask? Because the game she just finished working on, Tiny Tina's Wonderland, was just released and nobody is talking about it. She's desperately trying to farm clout and look progressive to get invited to some other project because that's how she operates.
She jumps from project to project, acts like a toxic bitch, leaves halfway through and then tries to act like she was a bigger influence on the game than she actually was. She's a leech.
Nobody should hire her, period.
Edit: She was stealing credit for at least 5 months, not 16. I have no idea why I put 16 down.
I haven't been able to go onto any Bucky posts because they're usually accompanied by John Walker antis, so I don't know if anyone's actually discussed this. But it doesn't sit right with me that we watch Bucky go through the entire season atoning for his past as the Winter Soldier, only for it to end with him still going by The Winter Soldier. This show really stopped caring about Bucky at the end, and we couldn't even stay for the apology to Mr. Nakajima they've been building up since the first episode. I'm already not too pleased that Falcon is no longer going to be a character, it would have been interesting to explore more into "Captain Falcon" or even retire the shield entirely instead of giving up his original name to an already existing character. Even John Walker gets to be his own character (US Agent). Quick rant: I don't know how people can look at the new Cap and call it representation, we had representation in Falcon. The show wanted to discuss race by having Sam represent a country that supposedly doesn't represent him, and in doing so, ironically rid us of an original black character in favor of a yet another white character (This is an observation on blackwashing, not an anti-white post). And before you say: "Cap is a black character", just remember, under every John Walker hate post, you'll find people quoting "There will never be another Steve Rogers". If you immediately saw John Walker as trying to replace Steve whenever he held that shield, it would be a double standard not to feel the same when Sam holds it. Both wanted to do something good with it, but only one got the chance to be taken seriously
