to think that we could stay the same / but we're two slow dancers
(After adding tumblr and twitter responses, the second option won!)
After a moment of deciding, you decided to Look at the signs on the wall… maybe there are clues… which made you notice the evacuation map on the wall. The evacuation map showed the nearest exits and the classrooms that had first aid. Luckily, it seemed like the cooking classroom was one of them… which makes sense. Somekids might accidentally cut their finger or something… yikes…
The way to the cooking classroom seems to be…. down the hall to the left. Huh, you had a feeling you should’ve went there, darn it! Maybe you should’ve trusted your instincts better…
You speedily walk towards the classroom, hoping nothing too bad happened. You knock on the door before entering the classroom. There was a student busily moving around the room, grabbing different ingredients from the cabinets while cursing under his breath…. He must be Akane.
“Hello, are you Aoi Akane? Your teacher asked me to supervise you.”
The student snapped his head back to stare at you before slightly bowing his head. “Oh of course, hello there. Thank you for taking your time to watch over me.”
He then rushed back to whatever he was doing… maybe he’s really busy. You didn’t really know what to do and just stood awkwardly near the door. It was a bit weird but you didn’t want to intrude on a student’s project or something… But you also didn’t want to do nothing…. You opened your mouth to ask if the student needed any assistance when he asked you first.
With nothing better to do, you agreed.
You take the list and head out to the nearest grocery store. As you head there, you decided to read the list and woah…. yikes…. this handwriting is really dogshit…. it’s hard to read…. and you promised to get them so you can’t really back out now… Maybe you should try and get it right…. the crossed out ones are probably not needed so at least that gives you something to work with… That leaves 4 ingredients that aren’t crossed out, which isn’t too bad.
-> There will be 4 polls! Pick which one you think is the correct ingredient!! Poll will be closed tomorrow ^^
can you guys tell that i like koukane a normal amount hahaha
Akane treks down the path, grumbling as he pushes against the low branches. Jeez, when was the last time the gardener maintained these plants, surely the president knew about this... unless that guy purposely left it there to annoy him! Why else would that asshole leave these stupid branches this low... Tch, Akane is 100% making sure that guy never touches his very tasty, made with care, takoyaki.
As he reaches the front door of the Minamoto house, Akane hears a faint crash in the background. Jesus, never one boring day here. He moves his hand to knock on the door when it suddenly opens, with Tiara barreling out with a smile on her face. She bumps into Akane, making him nearly trip over the stairs if it weren't for someone grabbing his arm. Thank god, he was worried the food was going to get smashed.
"Thanks Minamoto-kouhai, you got quick reflexes," Akane lets out a relived sigh as he straightens himself up. Kou nods but seems more prioritized in scolding Tiara than whatever Akane just said. Whatever, at least the food is still okay. He watches them for a few moments before heading inside.
Akane walks down the hallways towards the dining room, making sure walk really loudly as he walks past you know who's room. That's for being an asshole. Well, maybe he's the asshole for makin all this noise... but who gives a crap, it's the president we're talking about, when has that dude ever been a good person.
He reaches the dining room and places his food bag on the table. He sets up the table, grabbing the bowls and utensils from the drawers he long memorized from his multiple visits. Akane places everything down neatly, making sure nothing looks horrendously out of place.
As Akane checks the angle of Kou's bowl for the millionth time, said guy walks in with an energetic girl bouncing around the house like it's nobody's business. You know what, good for her.
"Hey Aoi-senpai, thanks so much for setting up the table, seriously. And you also made dinner too, so I'm really grateful..." Kou looks like he's about to sob... jeez, he really must be thankful.
"It's no big deal, it gave me an excuse to test out your recipe!" Akane grins as he pulls out the chair for Tiara, who gives him a hug before sitting down. "This test round went really well, I can't wait to make this for Ao-chan!!"
Haha, this was definitely for Ao-chan, after all, he wouldn't do this just for anyone else haha... Kou snickers as he sits besides Tiara, "I should've guessed. Well, did it go well?"
"See for yourself," Akane proudly opens the box, showing off the perfectly round takoyakis, the color a crisp tan that could make anyone's mouth water. "The world's most perfect takoyakis, if I do say so myself!"
"Woah...." Both Minamoto's eyes were as big as the takoyakis, filled to the brim with amazement. Akane grins, feeling warm all over. He really likes this feeling, maybe he should keep making them food.
"Thanks for the food!" They both exclaim before digging straight in. Akane also made some other things, like shrimp stir-fry and some rice, but he was mostly proud of his takoyakis, so he didn't really care to brag about the side dishes. Hey, he made the food, he gets to pick favorites. Plus, he knows they're good, Ao-chan loves them!
Everyone was eating really well, which made Akane really happy honestly. He's glad they like his food, otherwise he probably would've died right then and there if they hated it. Especially if Kou hated it, because Kou is the best cook he knows right now. If Kou didn't like his food, he would disappear off the planet.
Tiara finished first, eating really fast in a concerning way. Akane was a bit amazed she didn't choke on her food... she should really eat slower... Kou seemed to try to get her to eat slower but gave up half way. Kou's a good big brother, Akane admires that about the younger guy... it reminds him about Mirai's gluttonous appetite... but with no manners at all! Tiara thanked Akane and gave him another hug before rushing out the room, showing very good manners unlike a certain clock keeper...
Kou sighs as he watches his sister run out the room. "Sorry, she can be a bit impatient..."
"It's okay, I'm just glad she likes my food," Akane pushes her chair back in, feeling all warm and fuzzy from this atmosphere. Seriously, maybe he should make these guys more food, this feeling is great. He reached out to eat another one of his fantastic takoyakis, but it seemed like Kou also really liked his takoyakis, since he too was reaching for one... and unfortunately for them, there was only one left.
Aw man... it's okay, he could just make more next time. Just when he was about to let Kou have them, Kou took it and offered it to him. Akane blinks but shrugs. Hey, if Kou didn't want it, he'll take it!
It was really good, he should make this for Ao-chan next time! And also make more for the Minamotos, since they really loves his food (and not because he's in denial about his feelings for a certain someone haha that's so funny).
Thank you everyone for participating!! The next month's character is Kou!! The form will be up tomorrow (when I wake up lol) so stay tuned for that!!
Akane's too shippable
Finally got around to those requests 🙏 here's some Amakou no one asked for
I mean, it seems pretty obvious when you put it like that, right?
But how many families, when an introvert sibling or child makes an effort to socialize, snarkily say, “So, you’ve decided to join us”?
Or when someone does something they’ve had trouble doing, say, “Why can’t you do that all the time?” (Happened to me, too often.)
Or any sentence containing the word “finally”.
If someone makes a step, a small step, in a direction you want to encourage, encourage it. Don’t complain about how it’s not enough. Don’t bring up previous stuff. Encourage it.
Because I swear to fucking god there is nothing more soul-killing, more motivation-crushing, than struggling to succeed and finding out that success and failure are both punished.
and life goes on .
I find it a little amusing when people yell at me saying I'm "closed minded" and "wrong" for how I view tbhk as a story and the supernatural cast and agreeing with Teru but genuinely if I'm "closed minded" for agreeing with Teru then what does that make you?.
You sided with the most nieve characters when it comes to the supernatural world without so much as a second thought since the beginning and shun any idea that it could be wrong without ever hearing anyone out?
That sounds just as closed minded as you keep saying I am.
God forbid someone question what they're being told and not blindly believing whatever they're told and look into it themselves and the conclusion is something YOU don't like.
