Too Many Frozen Boys!

There's just something magic about doing a The Terror rewatch starting with episode 10 (we are gone) and going straight back to episode 1 (go for broke). You get to see everyone all happy and professional and working. Especially lovely to see Mr Collins and Lieutenant Little actually *doing* their jobs. My babies are prospering (let's ignore what's going to happen)

Had to make myself some grey fingerless gloves. Terror brainworms made me do it.

I noticed when looking for reference pictures to explain to my non-The Terror friends why these gloves were so necessary that the characters whose gloves are closest to this either have full fingers (Crozier) or are fingerless but without ribbed tops (Blanky and Jopson), but I'd already made the ribbed tops of fingers. They're very comfy & utilitarian though, I'd bet money that at least *one* of the guys had ribbed-top fingerless gloves!

They're in 8ply 100% wool, so not completely historical (they would've had finer yarn in the 1840s) but made with what I had (historical in spirit then, since 'use what you've got' is historical). I knit loosely so these are on 2.50mm double point needles at 6 stitches per inch.

I'm cursed to live in a warm climate so I won't get that much use out of them but sometimes I make things for the *vibes*

You guys cannot fathom how badly I love people who have massive, uncomfortable feelings and old-fashioned souls leaking with love to be spread all around. It’s beyond me to want to get to know these individuals & be loved by them… I was clearly sent into this world to preserve plus value what is perceived as their weirdness…

Terror rewatch, ep 1: just noticed it was Collins (as second master) who *sent* Billy Orren up top - specifically to teach another AB his knots! And it's Lieut. Le Visconte (aka Dundy) who won't let Collins try to save Orren after he falls -- notably, it's Collins who knows Orren's name and not Dundy -- perhaps presaging the Lieutenant's callousness about the men later?
