I don’t know if Gwen and David sat them specifically to keep them from causing trouble, but all of our usual disaster-makers are separated from one another. And Max is specifically placed away from ALL the campers on David’s other side. Which.
I guess was a good idea.
Also!!
Look how excited Gwen is to see some little girls inevitably cause a huge trash TV scene!!! And Nikki is sooooo not about this entire trip but she gets to sit next to Ered so I guess it’s okay.
Those two girls in the back have to be older sisters to some of the flower scout girls, or they’re on a date. Or both. Let’s go with both.
El Bentley es la original hija de un matrimonio divorciado
The best little fanon thing they confirmed for me was making the Bentley a little pet. Cause in the book it’s just a one off joke about how the CDs turn into queen if you leave them in A car long enough but it’s like no…the Bentley loves aziraphale and gives him sweets and plays whatever he wants and turns yellow for him and parks where he tell it to and plays “a nightingale sang in Berkeley square” when crowley is heartbroken and plays “good old fashioned lover boy” when crowley is racing back to help aziraphale. And crowley coos to it like it’s a puppy. Love that car
Bit of spoiler here if you haven't seen it, but I want to get my feelings out while I still got the "finished the episode" feeling.
I just want to appreciate that entire fucking episode. As in, not only the art and the music, which were both steller by the way. I fucking loved the star moment, and the music during it all that turned from calm to almost horror like with the wolf.
But also that in the entire episode, David knew what the fuck he was doing. Sure, shit like the wolf and the bees were unexpected, but I seriously doubt that any of the kids, or even Gwen could possibly figure out the way to survive real-world. Cambell gets a pass because of last season, but seriously, anyone else would've freaked the fuck out or would've probably solved their problem through some weird hyjinks.
But David? From the moment he left the river he followed it back while before climbing the mountain. When he got chased by the bees and escaped, he sat his ass down and pulled out everything he could've needed at the moment. He knew what flowers to get to treat his stings, tried to start a fire and then made a shelter when it started raining. Even the wolf moment? God that made me so sad, so heart broken to think that David had to kill a creature and hear his currdling screams. But then, THEN, we see him and the wolf safe, wounds healing, around a cozy little home that David built, with water and fire and a little doggo house and everything! David KNEW how to survive, LEARNED how to survive, and for all the moments we've been told David was such a camp boy, that he was the nature guy, I don't think I've been more proud to see it all than in this episode.
I'm not saying that no other character couldn't have survived it. They would probably find a way to. But I'm saying that I don't think there would be a more justified person surviving those goddamn woods like a champ like David.
Some character designs with some…atypical color choices? I guess. I don’t know what’s going on in that area.
This is Nimona and her supervillain friend (He doesn’t have a name yet, I’m working on that). Nimona is his sidekick/squire, they’re like the Batman and Robin of slightly Medieval villains, but she’s actually way more evil than him. He does what he does to make a point, and he doesn’t really want anyone get hurt - Nimona just gets a kick out of destroying stuff.
I’m going to attempt to make a two page comic with them? We’ll see how this goes.
i love the ‘enemies’ part of enemies to lovers, but im so excited that trod is reaching the area where nari and lambert are more friendly with each other. the whole breakfast scene from the newest chapter is some of the cutest shit ive read in awhile :)
YIPPIE we're in that stage where they could comfortably say they are friends again (and at some point, Narinder will) and it will be more prevalent with softer moments in chapter 20, but not without some angst and fighting that still shows how far they've come
Other characters are also going to notice the change wink wink
