This grave stone, located in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, originally depicted the likeness of a little dog named Fido. The grave is of 16-year-old Alfonso Sedillo who vanished during a hunting trip. His body was found face down in the snow the following week, having died from exposure. Fido was found protecting Alfonso’s body; he had remained alongside his master for the seven days. The grave stone was created of the likeness of Fido so that he could guard the earthly remains of Alfonso for eternity.
