My Kaisoo Apartment Project Posts - Part Three - Is this Kaisoo’s Apartment? Per request: A FOLLOW UP POST from my collaboration post with @eyesmagic

I received the following Anon and member requests for follow up information based on our collaboration post that explored the possibility of this being the same apartment that J*I used in his V-Live, which we also believe to be Kai*soo’s apartment. < the following are snipped for space>

Anon writes: So where does Ji stand in order to take the photo? He should be behind Ks back right ? The angles don’t really match??? Could you please provide more sceencaps of the wall and the table in both posts ?

Okay, so these questions are similar so I am hoping that the following graphics and comments will answer them for you, so here we go:

First, whoever is taking the picture would be standing just outside the kitchen area, on the left side of the doorway and turned slightly to his right. The dining area is proposed to be located behind the wall with the TV on it. (see graphic below).

In the next graphic (below), I have laid the photo on top of the dining area drawing. Of course I can not line it up perfectly because the photo is taken by someone standing and at an angle, but it is good enough for comparison. Note again that the photographer is standing just outside the dining area. The space inside would be too small (in our estimation) to photograph both K*S and S*H successfully, so it is taken further back. Further evidence of this is found in the reflection in the spoon. The photographer is shaded himself which indicates that he is not standing in the lighted kitchen. (More explanation of this in the “final notes” at the end). So, we place him approximately where you see him in these two graphics. Also by his placement, the angles match up nicely, in our opinion.

Now for the next question:

Anon writes: if we look into the spoon’s close up it looks like behind the photographer there is the rest of the room/sitting area but in J*ngin’s v we notice the sitting area with the dark walls is not united with the kitchen. Am i missing something? Can you please give more details for this part?

Anon, I hope I am understanding your question correctly and will try to answer you based what I think you are asking.

In the reflection in the spoon the opening to the living area is very wide (like an open plan) whereas the doorway and the living area in J*I’s V-Live was much narrower, not one big open room space. It is important to note that the reflection from the spoon is rounded out and therefore skewed wider and rounded. If you look closely at the spoon’s reflection you can see the sides of the doorway on the left. You cannot see it on the right but that may have more to do with the angle that S*H is holding the spoon rather than the actual width of the doorway. So because the view from the spoon is skewed wide, it makes doorway space appear much wider than it actually is.

I also do not think that the doorway to the kitchen shown in the V-Live is as narrow as it looks. J*I is way to the right which would make the doorway appear much narrower than it is, so the kitchen doorway is skewed in both S*H’s picture and J*I’s V-Live images.

Also S*H is sitting down and pointing the spoon up. Much of what you are seeing is ceiling and again, skewed wider. That is why the part of the door frame you do see is located towards the lower left of the spoon. I hope this is the type of answer you were looking for?

Some final notes:

Notice the direction of lights and shadow in S*H’s photo. You can tell by how S*H’s is lit up but K*S’s right side is in shadow, that the only light is coming from an overhead light in the kitchen. The length and direction of the shadows from the items on the table confirm that the light is not right overhead but further back into the kitchen area. Note that S*H is completely lit, no shadow, while K*S’s whole right side is dark with his back even more so.

Why is this worth mentioning? Because it shows that S*H is sitting in a corner and that the light coming from that overhead light further back is reflecting off the corner walls to light up his whole self. If our theory is correct, then it confirms that K*S is sitting in an open space (i.e. a doorway) where no light can reflect and furthermore, that space is dark. We know this space is dark because the camera man is also in the dark and he is behind KS.

This lines up with the darkness of the living area in JI’s V-Live, which, in our view, is Kai*soo’s apartment, hehe.

While it is all evidence that helps to solidify our theory that this is Kai*soo’s apartment, it is still just a THEORY and should be viewed as such.
