unpopular opinion (or not?) but I think the reason Jun-ho didnāt tell Gi-hun that the Front Man was his brother wasnāt because Jun-ho wanted Gi-hun to trust him and agree to work with him.
Jun-ho purposefully kept his brotherās name and face a secret from Gi-hun because he knew Gi-hun wanted to kill his brother, and heād be making it easier for Gi-hun to achieve that if he told Gi-hun who the Front Man was and what he looked like. and despite what In-ho did, Jun-ho still loves and cares about him. and thatās the real reason he kept the Front Manās identity a secret from Gi-hun AND from his fellow police officers.
Jun-ho, while wanting and trying to stop In-ho, doesnāt want In-ho dead. heās still protecting his brother. in this essay I will ā

We all know the VIPs are creeps and we saw them sexually harassing staff members, and so far we never get any direct confirmation one way or another if Front Man's even safe from them or if he's also one of their, well, victims. We do know, however, they're more powerful than Front Man, and Front Man, just like every other staff member, serves them. So it's not really a stretch to suspect he's been subjected to the same abuse his staff members go through.
Like, I'm not trying to make "excuses" for him when Jun-ho was assaulted. In-ho may or may not have known it was his brother behind the mask that day. And yes, it would have been great if he stepped in and stopped that VIP. But the thing is that we don't know if he even could, if any attempt to save Jun-ho would be seen as an act or rebellion that would be met with a far worse punishment for both him and Jun-ho.
"Why did In-ho just let it happen?" We don't even know if In-ho himself is also a victim when it comes to this. And if he really is one, then God knows how longāhow many yearsāit's been happening to him.
Gi-hun: In-ho betrayed me again
Jung-bae: what happened?
Gi-hun: we did trust fall and he betrayed me
In-ho: I didn't betray him this time
Gi-hun: yes, you did. you literally let me fall
In-ho:
In-ho, sighing deeply: normally when people do trust fall, they're supposed to fall backward, not forward, gi-hun.

this quote is so funny to me because yeah no shit. why do you think we ship them babe????š why do you think we find their depth and complexity fascinating? why do you think we find the angst and the tension delicious? why do you think we want them covered in each otherās blood? why do you think we like rough and violent hate sex?
āmaturing is realizing this is not the look of loveā whatās next? maturing is realizing murders shown in horror movies are bad if applied to irl scenarios? maturing is realizing gore depicted in slasher films are not good if applied to irl scenarios?
maturing is realizing itās fucking fiction and being able to separate that from reality š you grow tf up and stop being chronically online please. or better yet, try watching nbc hannibal and figuring out why they call will and hannibal murder husbands.
maturing is knowing this is fiction and itās hot.
what if in season 3 we got a scene, parallel to the cliff scene in season 1, where Jun-ho held out his hand for In-ho to take and In-ho actually took it? š„¹
