Unknown Forces Compelled Me To Draw This

was infodumping about DEH to my parents at dinner last night when I realized this:

evan doesn’t change his shirt until 47 minutes into act 1. jared, however, has a full outfit change 5 times up until this point.

disregarding the basic logic outside the fourth wall, this means one of two things:

a.) evan wears the same outfit several days in a row, or

b.) jared goes into the bathroom at school and changes in the middle of the day for no reason

Jared got a guitar and made Zoe teach him how to play it, for the sole purpose of serenading Evan from under his window. Evan just laughs softly and does NOT ask Jared to play for him when he needs to relax, no sir, that does not happen...

i literally cant ever adjust my binder anymore without thinking about jerma boys adjusting their binder image

i can’t think about kazuma’s various themes for too long bc i’ll throw up if i do. literally listen to ‘samurai on a mission’ and ‘a prosecutor, reborn’ back to back and you’ll see what i mean.

one thing that i am genuinely insane about is how the use of traditional japanese instruments gradually decreases throughout his 4 themes, so much so that you can barely hear it in his final theme, ‘a prosecutor, reborn’. other than symbolising how he’s assimilated to british society, it also serves to show how kazuma has changed:

all the grief and anger that was left to fester, hidden underneath a veneer of determination and justness has finally bubbled to the surface. kazuma cannot hide it anymore, he doesn’t have to. ryuunosuke sees a part of kazuma he’s never seen before: a grief stricken man looking for answers, searching for the truth no matter the cost

despite these differences, the melody remains almost the same because the man standing opposite ryuunosuke is still kazuma. he may be angry, cold and distant but he is still the same person; he is still the person who believed in ryuunosuke when no one else did, he is still ryuunosuke’s partner, he is still kazuma

i’m honestly baffled that reed’s main ship in the fandom is with trip. like i get it, they spend the most time together so there’s ample opportunity to read into their interactions, but if we’re talking the text of their relationship, our boy malcolm had an enemies to lovers arc onscreen and people will like, mention it but not actually commit to reed/hayes which is a goddamn shame. i’m disappointed with all of you
