my hot death sibs take is that it is a futile effort to try and give them any kind of "older/younger sibling" dynamic. they were born within a month of one another and after Hazel is revived they're still only like a year apart and are peers on every level. just give them a twins-like dynamic, cause that's the closest to what they have. the only time one of them being older (Hazel) ever is relevant/comes up is when theyre poking fun at one another. boom problem solved.
Just to add to this (but with the underworld kids)
Nico and Hazel's eyes change color according to which gem is nearest to them, or whatever their normal eye color is if there isn't one near (Bright, bright gold for hazel, and dark but multicolored eyes for Nico like a gemstone). But both of them naturally have sweet eyes, that are kind, but learned their scary stares
On the other hand, Bianca has the deepest darkest eyes (that don't change color) , this changed slightly after she became a hunter, but she and Nico both have intimidating stares (Bianca was born with it, but Nico learned it from her), while Hazel has a stunning wolf stare.
Nico di Angelo with the biggest doe eyes. Big, wide, adoring brown eyes. People can't help but fall in love when they see those eyes.
Will Solace with the most feline eyes. Pretty, upturned, cynically curious, blue eyes. People can't help but be uncomfortable when they see those eyes.
Nico di Angelo who had been stereotyped as unsettling and strange (he can be BUT) he has been looking out for and helping people nearly all his life.
Will Solace who has been stereotyped as unthinkingly optimistic and trusting (he can be BUT) he is curious, chooses his battles, and helps people through tough love and unconventional guidence.

Bianca and Nico
They both look extremely similar, in fact, if you give them the same hairstyle, they would practically look the same, the difference is that Nico is usually terrifying to be near or look at, but Bianca is nicer ( funnily enough Bianca is more introverted while Nico is an extrovert). But if you look Nico in the eyes and suddenly you both are best friends (you just can't resist the soulful eyes) and also they're colored like earth (brown but with highlights of Gold Green, and Purple mainly but a bunch of other colors, and really, really pretty. Also they change color depending on the closest and biggest Jewel/Mineral nearby). While Bianca's eyes suck in all the light and are dark pitch black, and she gives terrifying death glares. But when blindfolded or something looks extremely nice

If I tell you this is a horror dance number it still won't prepare you. That last move was so terrifying even the judge was like "Let go! Let go!" If you told me they're actually possessed I'd believe you.
One of the most perfectly choreographed and executed dances I have ever seen and comes closest to Shobana's original performance in Manichitrathazhu. Incredible!

I want to write a book called “your character dies in the woods” that details all the pitfalls and dangers of being out on the road & in the wild for people without outdoors/wilderness experience bc I cannot keep reading narratives brush over life threatening conditions like nothing is happening.
I just read a book by one of my favorite authors whose plots are essentially airtight, but the MC was walking on a country road on a cold winter night and she was knocked down and fell into a drainage ditch covered in ice, broke through and got covered in icy mud and water.
Then she had a “miserable” 3 more miles to walk to the inn.
Babes she would not MAKE it to that inn.
Fondly remembering the time that a cat owner casually entered their calico Maine Coon in a cat fancier’s competition and the judges lost their minds because the cat was 1) male and 2) able to bear children
Did nico and hades choreograph that epic entrance in the battle of manhattan?

C’mon, I’ll part the sea of enemies like moses and then I’ll say something annoying so gramps will do that eye twitch thing you like to make fun of, and then you run in with the chariot and the forces of the undead! Yes? Does that sound good? Then persephone, you roll your eyes as if you were bored, and turn all their weapons into whatever allergy-inducing flower you like, yes? Demeter you... just no cereal. Been reading about 1930's Italy for a fic then something something back then, boys Nico's age were trained to become soldiers, pledge their loyalty and all that.
It got me to thinking that MAYBE part of the reason why Nico likes Mythomagic so much is because something in him remembers how it felt to strategize and to win. Something like the thrill of observing and finding your enemies' weak points and knowing exactly when and where and how to attack.
That's it. That's my brainrot.

I know it's unfair vilification and stuff but it's also a lot of fun to see old media and stuff where people were SO scared of big animals like lions, sharks, crocodiles and wolves were fully expected to just come and eat you the moment you stepped into their territory. In older media we also made that assumption about gorillas and in still older we thought it'd be whales. But some animals that will actually fuck you up got left behind. Boars will kill you and eat you. They're way more likely to do so than any of those other things actually. Hippos, obviously, got off like bandits always being depicted as cute and dopey. And then there's the squids. Not giant kraken size squids. The eight foot squids that hunt in packs and will fuck you up if you fall in the water at night. I can't BELIEVE people slept on that. It's like all they cared about were the huge deep sea ones we never see. The medium size wolf pack squids were right there.

Alright I got that Nico/Eros playlist made (mostly. I’m probably gonna find more songs later and add them) so here it is. Some songs are about Eros point of view and some songs are about Nico going through it.
If you know any more songs for them please let me know and I’ll add it) (I wish Apple Music would let us share playlists like Spotify smh)
(Also if you can’t tell the whole album by Christian Death is about Eros following Nico since he was a young child and thinking back to his childhood a lot and how he kinda noticed the sings that some entity was following and he was terrified of the thing but he didn’t want anyone to think he’s crazy so he never told anyone and suffered Eros’s abuse all alone.)
(Some of the songs are about Nicos hatred for Eros or about him recovering or about Eros following Nico well into his adult years and Nico trying to cope or even breaking giving up and playing along with Eros)
