there is a new sex trafficking method of sending women these texts (and these aren’t other people’s screenshots, these are texts that were sent to ME):
if you receive this kind of text, block the number immediately and do NOT click on the link. it leads to websites that give you the ability to “track your package,” when in reality, it is YOUR location being tracked.
i myself almost fell for this and i luckily called my apartment’s leasing office to check if i had any packages i never picked up and they said no.
spread this please because i’ve seen a LOT of others say they’ve received these kinds of texts, so there’s likely to be more who are unaware it’s a scam.

i don’t think people get what these fires mean for California.
the fight against climate change is not “for the future” or “coming up”
no. it is now. for california, for me, for the 37 fucking million of us who live here, it is now. it is now. it is fucking now. there is smoke blanketing my entire city. the other day there was ASH FALLING FROM THE SKY. there are people who are living with red, terrifying smoke, right outside their front doors. i can’t open a window because it all smells like a fucking fire. the sky is entirely grey, because it’s all fucking smoke. my entire fucking STATE is affected by this shit. my STATE.
by the way, california? our population is 71% of England’s. an entire country.
and yes, there are issues other than climate change that have caused this shit, of course. but I’ve grown up through two droughts. I’ve watched the fountains in my town get shut down, I’ve watched them grow dusty and old. I’ve fixed my sprinklers to account for the new water restrictions. I’ve grown up knowing each winter was colder, each summer hotter. I’ve grown up seeing this shit.
every year, we come to fire season, and i hope and watch and desperately wish that it’ll be okay. that thousands of people won’t lose their homes this year. that i won’t have to walk home with a red sun blazing over me and smoke so thick i can’t stop coughing. that I’ll be able to step outside and not smell it. that people won’t lose their towns, their belongings, their livelihoods. every damn year.
my entire state is kindling. my friends outside of cali reach out to me about the fires, telling me they hope I’ll be safe. but i can’t go outside without inhaling lungfuls of smoke. i can’t do anything but watch as hundreds of thousands of acres burn.
2.5 million acres have burned this year. million. 2.5 fucking million acres. 20x what burned last year.
my state is on fire. my city is covered in smoke. a one year old boy DIED because of these fires, and who knows how many will join him by the time this is over.
so yes, please, donate. but i am tired as shit of people pretending that wildfires in california should be normal, that this is okay, that this is just “something that happens” no. no. vote for politicians who support renewable energy. vote for politicians who care about climate change. because, in the grand scheme of things, what we need is restrictions and laws and regulations. one person installing solar panels isn’t going to do shit.

Hey guys, I know it sucks to hear but I mean it in the most relatable and non-aggressive way possible.
And before you get mad, I do have a chronic illness, some mental diagnoses I’m being treated for, and I’m also LGBT+.
I need you to imagine I’m sitting down with you and not attacking our own community when I say this. For our own mental health, we gotta stop getting mad at every little slip up, or mistake that someone who doesn’t understand our struggles make.
We can’t assume everyone is going to understand us, or know what we need for accommodations right off the bat.
Now I’m not saying you can’t get frustrated or vent to friends about how annoying it is. But we can’t be making a community based off immidiate hatred for people asking questions and genuinely trying to understand our struggles.
If they genuinely are making fun of us for no reason, or don’t want to change their ways to understand,
We have a right to be pissed off and lash out.
But if someone is genuinely and respectfully taking the time to listen to us, and then they ask a silly or offensive question on accident,
We need to let them know in a just as respectful way. We don’t want them to be scared of us right off the bat. If we make that our brand, then they’ll never want to hear us out. They’re people just like us, and they do have a chance to understand and change. We just need to give them that chance.
Give them time to apologize and change into a less threatening person to minorities. Because if we want a community that understands us, we need to help them understand us. We can’t expect every person in the world to do research into every disability, mental illness, or identity. Sometimes we need to be their source.
Only if they’re being respectful about it though - jot that down. If they’re taking away our accommodations for their own needs, or mocking us, then that’s when we need to draw the line.

a 15 year old black girl with ADHD was incarcerated by a judge in michigan because she didn’t complete her homework.
grace was put on probation because of charges of assault and theft for “biting her mother’s finger and pulling her hair” and stealing another student’s mobile phone which she later returned. she expressed remorse at her actions multiple times afterwards and participated in therapy sessions and completely stayed out of trouble, her mother and teacher said that she was doing well at school despite the switch to online classes which caused her to become distracted due to her ADHD. she couldn’t keep up with her homework and her caseworker filed a violation of probabtion against her without bothering to learn about her disabilty or academic performance. the judge ellen brennan called her a “threat to the community”. all because she didn’t complete her fucking homework. she’s been in the juvenile detention centre for over a month now.
There is a petition to free her, please sign it and if anyone can find any other resources to help her please add them here
