Random thoughts about Wales?
I can't remember which I've said before elsewhere, but here you go!
Roundish. Soft and smiley naturally, very laid back and easy going
Similar build to England height and proportion wise, but plumper
Will murder you in rugby. Will literally pound Alisdair into the mud without a care or regret and charge to victory
Will regret it later and feel very bad
Makes wonderful cakes and bread. Still does a lot of it the traditional way, doesn't like mixes or prepackaged kits or breadmakers. Is very particular about this and, should you dare ask why, he will tell you why with far too much detail
Either lays awake a lot at night going over things he's said and done, or
He's dead. A log. Cannot be woken.
Snores like a beast. Will not be silenced. His brothers have to share beds just to give him a room to himself otherwise whichever unlucky sod is put with him will not sleep
Thinks his brothers are exaggerating about his snoring
They're not
Loves to write poetry
Thinks he's very good at poetry
Is painfully average
Great singer, leans more to opera but his family prefer the soft singing he does when he's pottering about and not really thinking about words or melody
As with England and Scotland, he's a workaholic, although less so. Is more in tune with his own needs and rarely pushes it too far
Is very particular about where things should and should not go in his house
Has the cosiest, most homely of houses
Is perhaps a little lonely
Brilliant archer and tailor
Has endless patience but when he breaks he snaps clean and then broods and sulks as he calms, which can often take years to defrost properly if he's not given an apology
Let's more go than the rest of his siblings
Does not regularly exercise but will still outrun you/ tackle a man twice his size to the ground
Doesn't really care for football but will go from zero to one hundred in rugby. Perhaps the only time he's verbally aggressive for no (valid) reason
Loves terrible daytime TV. Bargin Hunt and Emmerdale are his longest running obsessions
Loves romance smut books. They're hidden in the back of his wardrobe on a shelf everyone knows about
Loves to gossip with England about books and finds that the more they disagree and debate over them, the more he enjoys himself
Light brown curly hair. He keeps it quite short but he can look wonderfully romantic if he scrubs up
Does scrub up very nicely. His pleasant face and manner means that he usually does well at social parties, though is often in danger of becoming a wall flower next to his louder family
Always happy to chat, and is very good at reading people
Best advice giver for emotional/ hard talks in the family
I'm gonna say it...
England is the hottest out of the newly revealed UK bros.
my wildest usuk fantasy right now is that they one day disappear together and build a new life together in an unassuming home deep in the woods. they spend decades living a slow, domestic life together, eventually becoming urban legends with their eternal youth and strange habits. both of them know how to hunt, considering that they're immortal nations in the bodies of young men, but Alfred enjoys chopping wood and driving to the grocery store to chat with neighbors while Arthur prefers cultivating his garden and decorating their home with vintage decor. Sometimes either Alfred or Arthur will offhandedly recall something from a long bygone decade or bicker with each other over an old argument they had in the fifties or sixties and confuse the hell out of the poor eldery neighbor who just wanted to invite them over for tea. the sight of either Alfred or Arthur walking outside alone in an anachronistic outfit at a strange hour of the night is as familiar and yet unsettling a sight to the local residents as the twisted willows which preside over the misty lake near the edge of town. in the privacy of their quaintly decorated home, Alfred and Arthur usually cuddle together and spend time in each other's company, because their mutual companionship and loyalty is all they need to express love, even if they do sometimes bicker or adopt a cat to spice things up. Arthur brings home antiques and oddities to furnish their home with and raises all sorts of plants. Eventually, their home is listed on Atlas Obscura and Alfred gets a kick out of planting increasingly absurd and elaborate booby traps around their home to keep out urban explorers.

Oh god the anti aph england side is going to ve extra annoying now, hopefully they don't flood the tag
Maybe I'm just dumb but what are you referring to-?
Personally I don’t get anything from the part people are upset over but ‘England is tsundere for America’. I do greatly appreciate the confirmation of that and OF COURSE the statement about how important America is to him is so lovely. And he ‘can’t quite say his true feelings?’ Bless you, England. He acts like an adult on the surface, but only to America. Underneath, he’s very different- it’s as if he feels he has to deal with him like a grownup who suppresses his heart. - is pretty much a word for word description of what a tsundere is. So basically England is tsundere but only for America is what I’ve got. And Hima even says ‘he’s a tsundere’ at the end of the blurb. Most of the time in anime/manga when there’s a couple the creator is always more open about one side’s feelings than the other’s, and APH is no exception (AusHun, Chibitalia/HRE, etc.). And this is just so normal that I don’t quite understand why some people are upset over the fact that Hima isn’t as overt when discussing America’s feelings. America’s concern and the way that England impacts him is made clear in the strips itself, and almost every scene in which we see America being very serious or touched involves England. US and UK are a lot like a Takahashi couple. America isn’t a perfect fit for jerk with a heart of gold, but he fits in ways that matters (he’s also a bit of a tsundere himself). England is of course, a tsundere. Because of that England’s feelings are ALWAYS going to be more evident because that’s just the way the trope works and the way the character types work. The tsundere will generally realize their feelings long before the other, and this will be made apparent.
America’s canon obliviousness really plays into this as it’s very commonly found in relationships like this. It’s one of the things that generally sets a 'tsundere’ character off. The tsundere works up the courage to show their feelings in some way, but the other character doesn’t get what they’re going for. Happens all the time, and it happens with these two.
One difference between them and the typical couple in that trope is that they’re really both equally at fault for the fail. Sometimes the tsundere is less at fault in couples, but there are just as many moments where America is trying with England and doesn’t get the desired response as there is with England trying toward America (which is why I can’t stand the poor England, America is so mean mindset some of fandom has. They’re BOTH like that). The boys suck at communicating, which is also really common in the trope (and often if the characters just sat down and talked for a bit, all would be solved). I do believe that USxUK is set up like a couple. Hetalia has always been a series that plays with tropes a lot (part of its parody aspect), and they are no exception. I think that this new info is great, and I don’t personally agree with the idea that it’s indicative of unrequited love or whatnot. To me it’s almost the opposite. It’s the same kind of statements you see about couples like this all the time. And that actually really makes me happy.
