I don’t usually talk about my personal life here, but I really need to vent. 

I have misophonia and it’s ruined my life. I have left jobs, schools, limited contacted with family members, considered suicide, self-harm, etc. due to certain triggers, the main one being throat clearing. It might sound ridiculous to someone who doesn’t understand what misophonia is, but I want you to try a little experiment: count how many times your co-workers clear their throats in a single work day. If you work in an office, it’s a lot. In one of my jobs, it’s constant. 

One of the worst parts of it is the feeling of helplessness and complete and utter rage that comes with each trigger. I’m a 10 out of 10. I feel physical and mental pain when I hear my triggers. It’s like having someone stabbing my brain and my ears over and over again, sometimes all day long. 

There is no cure. 

I’ve tried to get certain family members to care and understand, but many still insist on making the triggering sounds whenever I’m around over and over and over agin. If I can’t even get my own family to listen and understand, how can I possibly explain this situation to co-workers? 

At this point, I’m seriously considering giving up one of my dream jobs because of my misophonia. I know quitting is a dumb decision during these uncertain times, but I physically and mentally need to get away from people. 

Are there any jobs out there (besides I.T.) that involve rarely interacting with people? I’ve tried doing online jobs, but people are so demanding and rarely pay you any money, plus there are tons of scams out there. 

I’m at the end of my rope here. All this pressure and pain has been building for years. I think I’d be better off living as a hermit, but even hermits have bills to pay.

I think the book series might work better as a HBO or Showtime or Starz or Netflix mini-series able to go all out in terms of the grittiness, sex, and violence of the book.

My bet is he’s going back to kill Cersei and if he survives that, then he’ll return to Brienne and become the man he was meant to be. Jamie doesn’t realize it yet, but Brienne accepts him despite what’s he’s done. It’s clear even after he left that she still loves him. 

I have more faith now than I did before the Episode.

Honestly, it’s Game of Thrones. We weren’t going to get a HEA, and JB’s story doesn’t end in Episode Four. How many fics have I read where Jaime feels so unworthy of Brienne? That’s this Jaime. 

And I love him.

On this day in history, 9th of September 1513, The Battle of Flodden / James IV is killed

Honoring his agreement with King Louis XII of France to divert English troops who were required in France to fight for Henry VIII, King James IV of Scotland crossed into England, with the battle of Flodden (Hill) taking place at Branxton, Northumberland on September 9th 1513. The Scots numbered about 30,000 men supported by artillery, including approximately 5000 French troops, sent to Scotland to assist. Though they were outnumbered, the English were better equipped and by nightfall had won a major victory. Anywhere from 10,000 - 12,000 Scots, including King James IV, were killed. Shortly after the battle Queen Margaret Tudor was made regent to her and James’ infant son who was crowned James V on 21 September 1513. [x]

This is an interesting theory. If it is true, then maybe it’s one of the first times Littlefinger realized the power his words can have over other people’s actions. Maybe at first he felt guilty, but then the power started to feel good, leading him down the path to the man we meet in AGOT.

Do you think it’s possible that Littlefinger tricked Brandon into thinking Lyanna was kidnapped by Rhaegar? All four were in the same area around the same time and it’s definitely within his MO. Not to mention that he just came off a brutal beating from Catelyn’s betrothed and we know what he’d do to get his competition out of the way.

I’m going to preface this with saying that I don’t think we have direct textual evidence disproving this theory. I’m skeptical on Watsonian grounds - first and foremost, it requires Littlefinger to know of Lyanna’s disappearance well before Brandon himself learned of it. While he was recovering from a serious wound half the width of the continent away.

I also dislike this theory from a Doylist standpoint.

First, in terms of LIttlefinger’s backstory, he’s the little guy everyone underestimated, only realising too late that he was their biggest problem. That sort of thing requires time and buildup on the villain’s part; I can’t help but feel that it takes some of the punch out of Littlefinger successfully orchestrating the start of the War of Five Kings if this is his second successful attempt at kicking off a war.

Second, I don’t think it adds anything, really. It doesn’t tell us anything new about Littlefinger (we already knew he’s manipulative), it doesn’t tell us anything new about Brandon (we already knew he was rash). The idea that Brandon learned about Lyanna’s disappearance and believed it was abduction works as a story no matter the source the original news came from.

ok this is probably going to appeal to like. 5 people. but this is just what it is like to watch hbo Rome (2005-2007) AFTER watching Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World (2003) 

Are the writers saving all the deaths for the finale....???

GOT spoiler ahead!

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that episode. The whole battle from what I could see was great, it was intense and the music was just blowing me away. And sure I’m happy at Arya being a badass and taking out the Night King but it felt too easy and too quick. It didn’t give us any answers either. I dunno. They made the enemy too powerful, too mysterious and gave him too much hype that I thought there would have been a larger one on one fight with someone then killed.

I get the feeling that before this is over he and Ceresi are going to get it on, at least once. He is her type after all. Why else cast an actor this attractive? He looks like Jamie does in the books. 

I can imagine Ceresi sleeping with him, thinking it’ll placate him (a callback to the Euron scene in episode one), only for him to immediately reply:

Harry: “That was all well and good, but you still need to pay the gold cloaks our salary. Our real salary.” 

I can’t wait for the memes if that happens.
