"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.
six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.
point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but you won't build you the the muscles.

Beautiful spring days... I've spent a lot of time outside this week and this changes everything. Life is so much more beautiful with sunshine, green leaves and movement outside. I'm trying to make things that make me happy and it's working well.
Yesterday, I spent an hour reading and the day before I went on a 5h hike. I bought a pottery wheel and hopefully I'll try it out tonight.

Today my plan is to write another journal entry in my diary, as well as my Form Journal. Been feeling pretty tired despite sleeping well last night. Narcolepsy sucks like that. I love the quote in my Form journal today. โProgress over perfection.โ

2025, week 7 (feb 10th - feb 16th) ๐ฉโ๐ป
another week of ups and downs. hang in there, friends.
accomplishments this week:
I did two more presentations at work, now I am finally done with those for a little while lol
I finished going through the modules for the NVIDIA cert, now I just have to study and pass the exam
I finished going through the first chapter of my ham radio study book. it's been a hot second since I've taken a physics course, but luckily I'm mostly remembering it as I go
highlights this week:
I've continued to drink copious amounts of tea
I made a trip to a local electronics store to get some parts for a project
I read a bunch and added some new entries to my commonplace book

pretty sure i blinked at the end of march and the first two weeks of the term passed instantly? i've been busy, but gratifyingly so โ i'm learning so much and always having something to do is helping me fend off procrastination.
