I love A Stepmother’s Märchen,How to Get My Husband On My Side.

Fun fact: you can like both Alicent and Rhaenyra. You don’t have to pit them against each other just because the narrative does.
“But alicent did this” “but Rhaenyra” they would not have had to do those things if the men in their lives weren’t constantly pitting them against each other.
It is very much possible to be team women and say fuck you to the men who caused all these problems in the first place.
I honestly don’t get people who call book!Alicent an “evil stepmother” or a power hungry woman who ‘seduced’ V*serys and then tormented Rha*nyra for years.
There is literally nothing in F&B stating or even eluding to Alicent even wanting to be Queen or seducing Vis or even having an affair with him while Aemma was still alive (which is heralded as a mere rumor).
For all we know, book!Alicent may have been in the same situation as her show counterpart: a young girl forced to be married to the king despite not having any desire to do so. However, unlike her show counterpart, book!Alicent seemed to understand that it would strengthen her family’s status and at least made the best of her situation and embraced the power she had if she truly was forced to wed the king (again, nothing in the book stating so).
As for the whole “evil stepmother” stuff, all that’s said is that Alicent and Rha*nyra started off with a decent relationship before they grew apart because of their own personal ambitions, and most likely because both wanted to be in Vizzy’s favor due to the fact that both girls desired to be Queen.
Also people love to talk about how Alicent “tormented” her stepdaughter (despite having no evidence) and having beef with a child, meanwhile Rha*nyra openly mocked her siblings at court due to them being a threat to her claim and Da*mon was noticeably cold towards his nephews because they pushed him further down the line of succession.
Book!Alicent was literally just a normal medieval woman who wanted to protect her children and was a little bitchy. That’s it. Honestly, compared to the atrocities committed by characters such as Rha*nyra, Da*mon, Mys*ria, and others, she’s really not that bad.
***They need a drink (Criston has water in a flask, because in the show he can't get anything good)/
I think the thing that shocks me the most about the discourse, if you can even call it that, around book Alicent vs show Alicent, is the idea that people think book Alicent had full autonomy over all her choices and she wasn’t a “victim” like show Alicent.
Now first, I put victim in quotations bc the way people who do not like her have almost bastardized that word. Alicent is a victim, and those things (rape, abuse, neglect) were done to her. That says everything about the men who did that do her and nothing about her. But people are hellbent on throwing Alicent, a woman in a violently patriarchal environment, being victimized back at people as if it is moral flaw of hers. Which is just terribly ironic bc the same folks who say Alicent “did it to herself” or “deserves what she is getting” also seem to think the crux of the story isn’t about generational trauma catching up with itself, how far people will go for power, or even how all girls and women are harmed - albeit to different degrees. But more the fact that Rhaenyra is the only woman to be harmed - and the only harm done is not getting the throne easily. Those same people wouldn’t be caught dead admitting that Rhaenyra is also a victim in the way they shit on Alicent for being. From the father who sets her up fail, to the baby daddy that’s been eyeing her since she was barely 18, to the uncle that grooms her. It takes away from the fantasy projected onto Rhaenyra if she too is surrounded by men that use her and she never escapes that.
Second, it’s funny how F&B gets heralded by some as this exploration of how history is skewed depending on who is telling it. But people can’t read between the lines (you honestly don’t even have to do that much work) with book Alicent. Showing 14 year old Alicent being preyed on, 16 year old Alicent being pregnant with her second child, and 18 year old Alicent being raped is somehow the show needlessly making Alicent a victim. But reading about a 13 year old bathing, dressing, and taking care of a king who mistakes her for the daughter he abused and neglected, and then that same girl, at 18, marrying another king that killed his previous child bride is just girl bossism on book Alicent’s part?
People hate conceptualizing the idea that (even book) Alicent is caught in patriarchal trappings bc to some that takes away from Rhaenyra’s plight…. Bc they can’t wrap their heads around several women *gasp* all going through hardships, and that ultimately people will respond to trauma differently depending on tools/knowledge they have at their disposal. Alicent neither being gleefully evil nor picking herself up by her bootstraps to somehow end years of patriarchal violence is not the neat box they want for her.
It's ironic that Team Black has been labeling Alicent as a religious zealot when the most she had done was what? Pray and put up some religious items around her home? While their queen RhaeRhae is out here preaching about the "blood of the dragons" and how their blood is superior, having an ancient blood marriage w her uncle and now is having a full blown messiah complex 🤣🤣.
it’s so funny watching people hate on Alicent but try to pretend Visenya had some noble reason for usurping the throne “oh she knew Aenys was weak and just wanted to save the Targaryens” so close she actually just wanted her son on the throne just like Alicent.
like Viserys Aegon constantly disrespected Visenya and publicly favoured his other wife, like Viserys he publicly favoured one kid and neglected the other because of who their mother was. Aegon made it so his child with Rhaenys would be firstborn and therefor his heir even though as first wife Visenya should’ve been priority, Viserys went against tradition to keep Rhaenyra as heir over his son because he wasn’t Aemmas son.
this is why i can’t take it seriously when people pretend the conquerors were a functional throuple. “they better not put Visenya and Rhaenys in competition 😤” babes they’re already in competition and Aegon made it so, Visenya had no remorse *allegedly* killing Rhaenys son and usurping her grandson so i don’t think she was as fond of her sister as some claim.
This post is like saying it’s a five year olds fault for getting SA. Next time she should have SCREAMED louder. Abuse is abuse no matter what form it is. That’s why rapesands minions won’t understand that he’s called that because he mentally rapes people. And MIND RAPE is a real thing.
It’s stupid insensitive post like this that makes me know that people these days lack empathy and common sense. If the world was built on one ideology we would never progress. Thats why there’s good and bad NOT foolishness.
Once someone is dead there’s nothing you can do. But you know what? Tamlin has moved on for the better of his people even though his mums death will still linger. You know who’s being petty? Ratsand. And he is also basing his assumptions as well.
REMEMBER: we all don’t truly know what happened to those two then. Tam could be lying, Rhys could be lying.
Hello, I am Nizar from Gaza. I apologize for bothering you. I am writing to you from under the bombardment. I am writing to you while we die a thousand times a day. I am writing with fear and tears never leaving me. With all shame, I ask for your support to save my family who are dying of hunger in the shadow of this war. The situation is unbearably difficult. I cannot even buy medicine for my injured father, or diapers for my disabled sister, Zein. I hope you will donate even a small amount to me, as it is a lifeline for my family. I will be grateful for any help you provide. I will not forget you💔🫂
Broke: We don't know why Eurylochus was able to resist Circe's charms.
Woke: Eurylochus resisting Circe's charms is proof the he is just as loyal to Ctimene as Odysseus is to Penelope, and considering Ctimene is Odysseus's sister the feeling is probably very mutual.
Talking to your sister after 20 years So Odysseus, where is her husband? Eurylochus was your brother-in-law and you promised Ctimene you'd bring him back. Where is he?
When I see: "Tamlin You Stupid Bitch"...
My brain says: "Rhysand You Raping Bitch"...
My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.
The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ — THE WHITE QUEEN + Magic
"We are descended from the river goddess Melusina. Magic is in our blood, Elizabeth."
Hello good friend
What is your opinion on Elizabeth of York
I love Elizabeth of York (The real one), she is one of my fave Queens ever. She is a good mother and a devoted wife who dedicated her duties for the family and the nation. She is nice to Catherine of Aragon to the point that she wanted to learn Spanish. She died during childbirth that is sad. Idk what Philippa Gregory was thinking of changing her entire personality. What is with tv shows doing that. The white princess ruined her and Henry.
The flames consume bodies—or do the bodies fuel the flames? The UNRWA clinic massacre in Jabalia just happened, taking the lives of 19 people, including 9 innocent children. As a mother in Gaza, I live in constant fear, with no safe place to turn. My baby, Qais, was injured in this cruel war, and I have no money to afford his treatment. Please, I beg you to help us. Your donation could save his life.
This tragedy reflects the terrifying reality in Gaza:
1. Children Are the Victims – 9 of the 19 people killed were children, caught in a place meant for healing.
2. Nowhere Is Safe – Even clinics and shelters are targets, leaving families with no refuge.
3. Urgent Medical Needs – Injured civilians like my son are left untreated due to the collapse of the healthcare system.
How many more must die before the world acts? I ask you from the bottom of my heart: help me save my son. Qais is still so small, still learning to speak, and he deserves a chance to grow, to heal, to live. Without support, I fear I will lose him. Please donate—your kindness can be the difference between life and death.

FLOW IS OFFICIALLY AN OSCARS WINNER!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Love me a Sparta women
WE DID IT
FUCK EMILIA PEREZ
ALL MY HOMIES LOVE AND SUPPORT I’M STILL HERE
FLOW wins the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film
This is the first Oscar win for Latvia 🇱🇻
As Zoe Saldaña accepts that oscar I hope you all remeber she has endorsed and praised the racists Jacques Audiard and Karla Sofía Gascón over and over. She keeps defending the ofensive racist movie she was a part of and once again had nothing no say in her speech for the victims of cartel violence that Emilia Pérez exploits.
Absolutely embarrassing.
zoe saldana being the first person of dominican descent to win an oscar will be overshadowed by the fact that she won it off the back of a terrible movie written by a terrible person starring an even more terrible person
As for the people who liked Emilia Pérez and is defending the film, please do it under any argument except 'you are racist if you don't like it'. Mexicans are hating on this movie, the cast is not even mexican, the main actress has responded to mexicans who are pointing the flaws poorly, the director unashamedly said that he didn't need to do research because he already knows enough and it hasn't even been released here in Mexico for a reason.
It won an award but that recognition is not actually for Mexico or Latin America because the movie is french.
Mexico and latam in general have great directors and actors who are doing an amazing job in Hollywood and I encourage you to go look for their films and shows if your intention is to support and learn about mexican representation.
there's some justice in the world
emilia perez lost the award for best director
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
If you despised " Emilia perez " (2024), you need to watch the mexican response!!
JOHANNE SACREBLU
A "musical" making fun of everything Emilia perez represent. I don't want to give spoilers but knowing that the freaking Miraculous Ladybug and Maria Antonieta appears multiple times sold this musical for me
I'm glad we're all against Emilia Perez, here! If you were disturbed by how little that movie cared about the families of people who disappeared, victims of unfair structures that cause fear in the populations in countries of latin america with no consequences or justice, please support I'm Still Here, the brazilian film about of a family fighting for the truth about the disappearance of their father at the hands of the military dictatorship.
