HEAD CANON: What If Walking Mushrooms Sat On Decaying Corpses To Get Their Nutrients. A Useful Tactic

Laios, Senshi, Marcille, and Chilchuck walk through the dungeon. A horde of walking mushrooms runs past them. Collectively confused on what’s going on (except for Senshi), they watch these lil critters swarm into a hallway. As they take a peek around the corner, Laios is struck with awe.
A tiny mushroom launches itself into the air and plops onto a paw, revealing a decaying beast covered with mushrooms. “Ah, the circle of life” says Senshi. Close-ups of various mushroom types sit on the corpse, surrounded by sparkles. “Ain’t it beautiful?” Senshi states with arms crossed, admiring the view. Marcille and Chilchuck look pleased while Laios is amazed.
A mushroom finishes recharging and walks past Laios. The viewer sees the back of Laios’s head as he looks at the walking mushroom. Meanwhile, a faint portrait of him reaches out, softly calling “Wait…” with tears running down his face. Marcille and Chilchuck look done while Senshi simply stares.
Later in a different location, a suspicious-looking Laios peers down the hall while holding something in his hands. Only to reveal it’s a dead mouse! He sees a walking mushroom in the distance and quickly lies down, slaps the dead animal onto his chest, and shuts his eyes. When a shadow looms over him, he opens his eyes slightly. Laios gasps with excitement upon seeing a walking mushroom looming above him.
Laios taps his chest to encourage the lil friend to sit on him… Only for it to walk away. He softly lets out a “Noooo”, devastated that his plan didn’t work. His teammates look around the corner in the background, watching the scene with judgement. Chilchuck, still in his sleeping bag, walks away from what he just witnessed. “I’m going back to sleep” Marcille follows as well. “Same” Senshi, still looking at Laios, thinks to himself, “You’ll get ‘em next time” In the distance, Laios is on all fours, defeated.

HEAD CANON: What if walking mushrooms sat on decaying corpses to get their nutrients. A useful tactic when they roam dungeon areas that aren't their typical environments and can't provide them food so this is how they adapt 👀 hufhufhfuf
