the fact that iwtv on amc managed to create an incredible compelling character such as louis out of the husk of a soul that was presented in the books is honestly amazing. tv show louis is my best friend. book louis watches paint dry for fun and i would hit him with a car.

I’m obsessed with Sam Reid’s acting choices in the loustat reunion scene. Every time I rewatch it, I notice the differences in the way he talks, the facial expressions we’ve never seen, the mannerisms that are new. He’s not exactly what we thought he was, but he’s still definitely Lestat, and there’s something really compelling about that. Even Louis is a little different with him- they are very familiar with each other despite the time apart. And I’m sure we’ll see shades of their s1 selves- I’m sure Lestat will veer into that anger and menace sometimes, or into the manic, emotional mess we see in the s3 teaser- but I think there’s going to be some new things to get used to when we see him next season.
