Lullaby for a Stormy Night by Vienna Teng
Thanks, Lauren, for making me listen to that song and be inspired and all emotional. (I didn’t use all the lyrics in this comic because I’m lazy)
😍😍😍😍

I don't know why but when he said he sampled the water of Qiaoying Village I just imagined him lapping it up on all fours when no one was looking so I doodled this up 💀💀
um so, a while ago I got really obsessed with inukag fan kids— like, 9 years ago I designed their daughter (eldest) and their possible son. Funny thing, I named the girl Ayame before I even watched that episode, but now I don’t know what to call either of them. Sometimes I name them after parents. I read the most lovely story where they named their girl Kikyo. Sometimes I give them names after the Inuyasha OPs and EDs or voice actors or just people who were involved somehow. Whatever. Nameless inukag babies. Girl has black hair, dog ears, and gold eyes— really takes after dad. Oh goodness. Boy has silver hair, human ears, Inuyasha’s sharp pupil (and a better sense of smell in my head canon than his older sister), and takes more after his mother. I don’t think I did either head shot much justice, but it was 2 am… And don’t pay attention to my awful and unpracticed and probably incorrect Japanese. I need to work on my handwriting… -sigh- sorrrryyyyy
“Don’t worry Auntie Kagome. We’re totally okay!” Strong bb girl showing off to her parents (and her bae).
Narkik Weekend - Day #2 ↪ Narkik // Inukag
From @narqueen amazing analysis: “One of the major themes of the series is the conflict of fragmented identity; this is embodied the best between inuyasha versus naraku - inuyasha, who struggles internally with the desire to be a half demon and his humanity & love for kagome, compared to naraku, who struggles physically (by constantly shape-shifting his body) to shed himself of his humanity & his love for kikyou. this literary archetype is called the shadow - a formidable opponent who mirrors the darker psyche of the hero; a character to both compare & contrast with the hero.
in fact, inukag and narkik are one another’s “shadows” - the relationships themselves are nearly-perfect contrasting mirrors of one another.”
