“Not Every Person Has The Right To Be A Parent” Is A Sentiment I Feel Is Widely Accepted In Leftist

“Not every person has the right to be a parent” is a sentiment I feel is widely accepted in leftist circles, referring largely to abusive households. But this doesn’t get taken to condemn surrogacy and egg-donating industries. Like Jesus Christ why do most leftists not care about this flavor of stuff when it financially exploits women, and subjects them to unnecessary harm? All just because it means infertile women and homosexual couples can have a different way to have children to raise? What happened to “having children isn’t a guaranteed right” Of course I know it’s because of misogyny, but good grief.

one of the most frustrating things about the neil gaiman situation (and others like it) is people who were fans immediately moving to a different person to idolise ('well, at least we still have x author' or 'please tell me y author is still a good person') and in this situation specifically, 'terry pratchett would be furious'. no!!! you do not know!!!you have no idea whether terry pratchett or any author you like was/is a predator! you cannot take a situation in which a man's public persona as a feminist and supporter of women allowed him to prey on vulnerable women without suspicion and then look at all the other men who portray themselves as good people and say 'well, these ones are still okay though.' just stop idolising celebrities!!!!!!!

Fascism thrives on ignorance and anti-intellectualism. Here are some ways you can combat it:

There is an ongoing literacy crisis. Teach kids how to read phonetically (other methods produce poor literacy) and introduce them to fun books, both fiction and educational non-fiction.

Teach kids about critical thinking and the scientific method.

You can also introduce kids to edutainment like Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, The Magic Schoolbus, Bill Nye The Science Guy, Beakman's World, etc.

Help kids develop media literacy skills by asking them literary analysis questions about the media they engage with. Even very young children can begin learning literary analysis if the questions are phrased in words they can understand.

Learn and help other people learn information literacy, ie, how to locate and evaluate information.

Learn the red flags of pseudoscience, and educate other people about them.

Educate people and share media on real science and real history, because fascist narratives are full of pseudoscience and pseudohistory. (Miniminuteman, Gutsick Gibbon and Bart D. Ehrman's YouTube channel are great, by the way!)

Make learning a joyful experience, and show people the beauty and wonder of what's real. Being a discouraging killjoy will spoil your efforts.

You wanna talk about women’s space? Men have always been in your space, women. You ALLOW him in. You let him into your bedroom, your home. You bring him along when you’re trying to hang out with your friends. Women bring their male supervisor to monitor the conversations and kill the whole vibe.

She’s bringing him into her space. You let him come into your pussy.

This is true for a lot of feminists. A lot of feminists out there love dick. They grip onto it tightly. You tell them to leave men and they hold on extra tightly to dick. It’s amazing, it really is. I’m not sure what they’re fighting for. I’m confused. I’m totally confused.

So of course they’re going to be entitled to go into the restroom, because you have no fuckin’ boundaries. You fear men being in the restroom, you fear your children going into the restroom in case a man is in there… but a man is in your house right fuckin’ now. He’s in your space, right fuckin’ now.”

Every dumb ass post on here about men having soft bellies or whatever has the same energy as every other dumbass and constant defense of men. If you are falling over yourself to defend men, imaginary or real, you’re just another schill for the patriarchy, and whatever equipment and pronouns you have just tell everyone to what degree you hate yourself or if it’s just self-serving bullshit

Where were these men and their little pills bury bellies when Roe v Wade was overturned? Where are these sad little soft boys when women are getting assaulted in town halls? Where are these delicate little ferrets when it comes time to protect our right to vote?

Either still imaginary or waiting for women to take care of them I guess

Male positivity posts on this website are both useless and fucking insulting. Men hold 65% of the world’s wealth and account for 99% of rapes. What do they need your positivity for?

There is a word for pumping up somebody over and over who shits on everyone else. It’s called enabling.

Anyways I hope all men on the spectrum from hard to soft either start showing up for women, go to a secret undersea incel bunker where they will never contact humans again, or end their lifetimes and give their carbon energy back to Mother Earth in restitution

Identity Rant

If you are young do not be swayed by the whole "identity" shitck. It is a mumbo jumbo word salad to make people feel special, it is purely egoic, nonsensical, and sometimes fandom induced grown up play pretend. Notice how EVERYTHING has become an identity? Mental illness (sometimes physical), sex, sexuality... It all implies that this thing here, yeah, that thing? It can be identified into, you can "become" it on a knee jerk reaction and NOBODY will (at least in their fantasies) question it. And so far this is how it is! Combine it with internet shushing everyone up for questioning the validity of the said identities with threats of accusing them of being problematic and justifying wrong identification as "soul searching" or "exploration" and here you have it! Perfect business plan!

Not to mention how this whole thing has taken off with mental illness, and it becoming a new identity, a shiny, new, fresh, counter culture and subversive label you can PROUDLY wear for no reason. The only "gross" symptoms people managed to normalise were not being able to get up from bed and wash yourself, two of which are very easy to fake. Some people, and you have to admit it at this point, use the whole mental health awareness thing as new technique to learn new ways of manipulation and faking it. And if you question ANYTHING you are ableist. The whole "Men go to therapy to manipulate better" is true, but it also applies to a bunch of people here.

i’m so tired of pretending that people who only understand ethics and morality through the lens of religion aren’t virtually the same as people who only understand politics and world events in harry potter terms

You should be able to say “don’t touch me” to anyone ever in any context and not have it be considered in the realm of surprising or insulting imho if we ever needed to normalize something it’s this
