Everytime a new form of media or tool gets presented, everyone has this idea that we've "fallen" from the previous intellectually "pure" era, I had teachers that would complain about our access to Google because we should all go to the library. I get that they didn't know as much about AIDS in 1983 as we do today, but it been around for a few years already, so one of the supposedly smartest men on the planet should have had enough evidence to be able to overturn the hypothesis that viruses are just social constructs.
