Nosferatu's library is divided into categories based on authors, with each book having its own channel and each author having a discussion forum for you to talk about the books and the authors.

Trump proposed the Tik Tok ban. No law had been officially enacted before it went down. The message about it being down changed within 20 minutes to praising Trump. He is not officially President until tomorrow, which means he has had no legal power over Tik Tok this entire time. Everyone fled to another app where people started to talk to each other and learn. Tik Tok was then "brought back" less than 24 hours later, with thanks to "President Trump"

A lot of feelings coming from multiple sources right now.

I'm an afab agender person trying to build a life and career in the world of rock and roll. I also find behavior that's been normalized because of the egregious amount of rockstars behaving those ways pretty disgusting and I will continue to find them disgusting as I always have.

I understand my rise will be long and difficult. I am a passing afab. I am agender/queer. I don't associate with people who cheat, lie, exploit, or otherwise harm anyone because they wanted to/by choice without force. The music industry has been built by people who do precisely those things to gain more money, more following, and more attention. Drama is business. And I don't like it.

I'm not sure what my path is going to look like, holding down my morals and exercising my backbone while sacrificing "opportunities" but I know I will reach the place I want to and be proud of myself for it.

I'm going to be queer and I'm going to grow old. I'm going to be afab and excel in rock. I'm going to be a musician and not accommodate those who hurt people. Those are my promises to me and to everyone I hope to touch with my music.

running into a trans girl while you're out and about makes the entire miserable errand worth it, whatever it was. like glancing upward at just the right time to see a shooting star. I spot a trans flag and it sincerely ceases to matter that the bus is crowded and it rained unexpectedly and my shoes are soaked through and my headphones are dead. Like. I remember back in my grocery store cashier days I did so much crazy shit.

When WIC (Women, infants, and children voucher program to help low income mothers/families with children) people were in my line I would pretty much know who they were. Before the cards they had to tell us upfront they were WIC and show us their vouchers for what they were allowed to get (it was awful some times. Like. 2 gallons of milk. $4 worth of vegetables etc etc). They’d always have items hanging back, waiting to see what the total was and if they would have to take it off the belt.

I began to place the fruits/vegetables a certain way on the register scale so that like 1/2lbs of grapes read as like .28lbs or something. Then act shocked when I said that they still had X amount of lbs left. They got all their fruit and vegetables.

I think it started to kinda? Catch on to the women? Because I would have the same moms in my line month after month. And even after they switched to the cards (they worked like food stamp cards?) I’d still do the same thing. They were able to get more produce for whatever shitty max amount Indiana gave them.

Anyways. Be chaotic. It’s more fun that way.

The people who love what you create are going to love it regardless. Your talent speaks for itself and I think it's great that you're finding that confidence and love for your own creations to be a driving force of revealing your full self. There are some shitty people here but they are everywhere. I think you're going to have an overwhelmingly positive response. But it's understandable that you're nervous, trusting and being vulnerable are a risk. But I also think you're more than able to recognize when someone is just being cruel for cruelty's sake and take the appropriate action, report, block, etc. It's your decision though and sometimes a little slice of anonymity can be nice. There's no right answer only what feels best for you and your spirit. You've got friends here who support and care about you and that won't stop because you share your face (figuratively and literally)

This is so incredibly helpful, and thoughtful in a way that must mean you're not a complete stranger to me. Thank you for the love put into this message. I think you're right. I want to be able to embrace myself fully and I think my own acceptance will be detectable among those who care about me.

I think one of the reasons I haven't posted here in so long is because if I draw now, I want it to be associated with my real self, not my online anonymous persona.

It had me start thinking why I was still anonymous here. Maybe I'm scared for people to know this part of me? That I'm on tumblr and like the characters and games and stories I do? It doesn't seem fair to any of you to be ashamed of my interests. Plus they make me happy.

I think I want to rebrand. "Redtrobug" is also such a cool name, but, I think I like it more now because it's nostalgic. "Red" comes from my favorite color and an old nickname I had while being unsure what name I actually wanted to go by, "tro" is a play on "retro" and "bug" comes from my first ever nickname given to me by best friend in elementary school. When I was a kid, my nickname was Ladybug, and it's my name now, so it's not like I'll be losing it, but it's hard to part with "redtrobug"

I think it'll be better for me though - to stop splitting my life. I want to be able to post my music and my art here. I've just never posted my face and it terrifies me.

I guess, before I make any big decisions, I wanted to know if you guys had any thoughts?

The reason you, gen Z queers, need to be kink positive isn't because you support those kinks. It is okay to be disgusted by them, actually.

The reason you need to support kinksters is because "these kinks are disgusting" is the framework the alt-right is using and will continue to use to outlaw you. They don't think you're any different from the guys at Pride in leather puppy suits. They think your ENTIRE EXISTENCE is sexual. They think you holding hands with someone of the same gender, or existing as a trans person at all, is the same as a straight couple playing tonsil hockey in public.

YOU ARE A FETISH TO THEM. That is all you will ever be to the alt-right. They will never see you as human. When they talk about "our children being exposed to sexual perversion" they don't mean BDSM like you think they do. They mean YOU.

The only way to preserve your own existence is to fight for the right of kink to exist, because the instant kink becomes taboo or outlawed again*, rest assured, the alt-right will become MUCH more transparent about just what they think about your existence.

When you harp on about disgusting kinks and how they need to be hidden or outlawed and how they're harmful and everyone who does them is (insert thing here), you are giving the alt-right the tools they will use to imprison you as soon as they have unchecked power to do so.

THAT is why kinksters have been part of the queer community, part of Pride, from the start. Because the only way to keep our community safe is by truly ensuring everyone has unlimited sexual autonomy so long as the activity is taking place between consenting adults. It's just like how abortion-related laws are the lynchpin for all manner of medical autonomy laws.

The queer community can't stand without kinksters and vice versa. Even if you yourself aren't a kinkster and find them disgusting, like it or not, that is just how it is.

*Sodomy was illegal in Texas until 2003 and the law is still on the books, just not allowed to be enforced thanks to Lawrence v Texas, which SCOTUS has said they have an interest in striking down
