The north node is the most important node for travel abroad, especially when associated with the 7th, 8th, 9th or 12th lord. North node in the Ascendant, 7th house, 9th house, 12th house can give foreign connections and can indicate moving abroad. The North node indicates staying abroad for a long duration of time or permanent settlement.

The South Node is another important one when it comes to moving abroad. Unlike NN, SN indicates short stays or travel for work/studies and coming back to the motherland. SN in 7th, 9th, 12th houses or with their lords can indicate these possibilities.

Next, Moon in 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th can indicate a lot of travel within the country and outside the country as well. Moon in watery signs with NN can indicate foreign settlement. Moon in 8th,9th or 12th houses can indicate foreign settlement.
