LOVE/HATE??!!?! ATTRACTION??!?? DAISY I CAN’T-
but can you actually imagine ben & rey meeting up for the first time after who knows how long in TROS and they’re both so on EDGE — rey‘s been blocking the bond and struggling to connect with the Force and ben’s been out looking for her and trying to reach out only to hit a wall every single time — so they’re both angry and frustrated and out of balance and now that they’re finally face to face the bond snaps open and everything comes pouring out and they’re both like, “FIGHT ME” except it quickly turns into “KISS ME” because let’s be real, all this aggression is simply a very serious case of pent up UST
tldr; ANGRY RAIN KISS RIGHTS
Okay, putting a flower crown on serial killers harms absolutely nobody. When was the last time someone was actually injured by a serial killer, the 50s? Sorry if you think this is a trend, but putting a circlet of flowers on top of a real human being that drove a 5 inch steel knife into an innocent persons beating heart can be qualified as self expression. Learn it. PS. I play reaper in overwatch and talk like solid snake when Im on the phone. I could hack the stock market if I needed to. Bye
i cant decide what my favorite line of this is
psa for ben fans: go vote for him again in this official starwars.com “who do you most want to see in TROS” poll. disney keeps resetting the results of it because he keeps winning by a LANDSLIDE
Tragic romances can work beautifully, so long as the audience gets to see the actual romance before it all goes downhill.
Romeo and Juliet exchanged wedding vows in secret. Anakin and Padme spent time frolicking through the fields of Naboo together. Will and Louisa went to Mauritius for a romantic getaway. Jack and Rose had their iconic "I'm flying!" scene.
But Ben and Rey had none of that. A man who was preyed upon since conception, who wanted nothing more than to be "free of [his] pain," was freed only in death. A woman who spent her entire life longing for a family of her own was finally(!!!) rewarded with one for all of ten seconds, before regressing back to square one, as if her whole journey was a nihilistic game of 'Snakes and Ladders.'
That ending is neither 'hopeful' nor cathartic. And it certainly has no place in a fairytale.
What happens to the Trio when Ben comes along.

I also did one like it a long time ago, but with Obi-Wan and Anakin’s Force Ghosts.
“A bond between two living beings is not something easily broken. It is not a choice. . it is like breaking a feeling. Like turning away from the Force. To break a bond, your feelings would have to change, or one of you would have to die - but even then, the bond wouldn’t go away, it would simply. . it would simply be an empty wound.”
- Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
“but how could Palpatine be in Episode IX if he died???”
No, probably just implies that he doesn’t feel he wants to or has to marry a girl just for status.

[I’ve decided that these three lines of evidence are way too intertwined to separate so #SoulOfBendemption is now all of this.]
Ok so this is going to be a comparison of the throne room scene from TLJ and the Padme confronting Anakin scene near the end of ROTS. The tl;dr version is that Padme and Rey go to confront Vader and Kylo to two different results. Vader & Kylo both offer to rule a new order - allowing the past to die - with their queens. It ends with both Padme and Rey turning them down. Vader then tries to kill Padme whereas Kylo says he’s going to destroy Rey but he honestly has the chance, and doesn’t. (I wrote more about that here -> x)
