Not So Berry Legacy Challenge

Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!

Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.

Basic Rules:

Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.

The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.

Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.

You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.

Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Keep the lifespan on normal.

It started before the cold, before the endless, gnawing hunger. back when love was something softer—though even then, with her, it was never truly tame. even then, there was a need, a pull, something just shy of dangerous. the wilderness didn’t create this. It only stripped away the pretense, left you both raw and real and reaching.

the first time the others truly see it—see what you and vi are—it’s in the firelight, when hunger is at its worst.

not the kind of hunger that gnaws at the stomach—that kind is familiar, constant, but bearable. that kind of thing is simple. 

no, this is something else. something deeper, something that has seeped into the marrow, turned your ribs into a cage of gnawing want, turned your heart into a beast with too many teeth. and vi—vi is the only thing that soothes it.

and that terrifies them.

because they have seen love before. they have seen devotion. they have seen desperation. but this—this is not love as they know it. this is something else.

It only grows, winding through the cracks, steady as the earth beneath your feet.

the trees whisper above, their voices hollow and endless. the fire flickers, throwing frantic shadows across your bodies, casting your limbs into something inhuman. and vi is watching you like she sees something holy in the ruin of you. like she’s listening to something beneath your breath, beneath your pulse—some unspoken thing only she can hear.

“say it,” she breathes, her lips brushing your ear, voice raw, desperate, something starving. her fingers dig into your skin, like she’s trying to anchor herself, like she needs to feel you solid beneath her hands.

the fire crackles beside you, shadows twisting, but none of it matters. not the cold, not the hunger, not the eyes watching from the dark. just her. just the way she’s trembling against you, just the way her breath catches as she waits.

you tilt your head, just enough to catch her mouth, to taste the salt and copper and fire-smoke on her tongue. 

“I love you.”

she exhales, a ragged, shuddering thing, like those words are the only thing holding her together. and maybe they are.

because it’s the truth. because if she asked, you would let her pry you apart, piece by piece—lay yourself open and let her press her hands into your warmth. because if she needed it, you would let her sink her teeth into your ribs-–crack you open and press herself into the hollow space left behind.

You grew angry at them and ran away on your birthday turning into a young adult without telling them.  A job opened up at a criminal service, and you decided to take it to the next level. Mischief and bringing new love interests to your apartment was the only thing that kept you happy and keep the thought of your parents away from your head. One day you woke up feeling sick, and took a pregnancy test. You were pregnant but didn’t know who the father was, so you kept the baby for yourself.

Being a kid, your mother taught you bad manners, morals, etc. Growing up, you saw how your mother treated people and it started to make you feel bad for everyone being treated terribly by criminals. You wanted justice… more so, revenge on all those criminals, including you mother, and wanted to be good. Before being able to move out, you had a huge fight with you mother about what she was doing and asking her to realize what she’s done to people. You still didn’t want to lose connection with her like she did with your grandparents, but as soon as you became a young adult, you joined the detective career. As your mother grows older, you help her become a better person since you want to forgive her, but all the other criminals out there need to be arrested. Now. Once you have children, you make it your duty to make sure they don’t grow up to be like your own mother.

You also had a secret passion for art, but didn’t tell anyone but your best friend and mother. Singing and art were your favorite things to do, and you didn’t want to do anything else.
