Ok, so I WAS going to contact artists individually and privately, but that was before I realized there would be literally hundreds of artists.
The Youtube channel Super Hedgehog Bros is reposting and monetizing art from HUNDREDS of Sonic artists. In 3 videos alone, all posted within the last week, they have used art from over 100 artists. Their channel is monetized, they are making money from views.
100 artists from 3 videos. The channel has over 400 videos posted. They have over 60k subscribers.
If you're a Sonic artist, especially if you make comics, and you don't want your work reposted for someone else's monetary gain then you should probably have a look and consider if you want to do a copyright claim. Maybe let your friends know too, if you know they care about this sort of thing.
It's literally impossible for me to contact everyone about this, I just need to hope this post finds at least some of the people it matters to!
➡️ Content warnings on fiction are a courtesy.
➡️ Not every medium of fiction and storytelling has or is expected to have content warnings or extensive tagging.
➡️ Print novels do not traditionally warn for content in any way.
➡️ Until AO3 came along, fanfiction did not traditionally warn for content in any significant way.
➡️ An author is only obligated to warn for content to the degree mandated by the format they publish their fiction on.
➡️ Content warnings beyond the minimum are a courtesy, not an obligation.
➡️ 'Creator chose not to warn' is a valid tag that authors are allowed to use on AO3. It means there could be anything in there and you have accepted the risk. 'May contain peanuts!'
➡️ Writers are allowed to use 'Creator chose not to warn' for any reason, including to maintain surprise and avoid spoilers.
➡️ 'Creator chose not to warn' is not the same thing as 'no archive warnings apply'.
➡️ It is your responsibility to protect yourself and close a book, or hit the back button if you find something in fiction that you're reading that upsets you.
➡️ You are responsible for protecting yourself from fiction that causes you discomfort.
I keep having to tear down extremely predatory/misleading Scien.tology flyers in my school's art building. This is the third fucking time I've ripped the fuckers up and I'm getting Real Fucking Tired of it.
Its now finished reference sheet of my character Moon and their alter are complete now and I'm happy with them also want to thank my friends AngelicMiracles on Discord for redesign of Moonlight
It's abit difficult to design the alters within the head space and color schemes not too different/away from the Host's original color scheme think of it as a alternative to original with hint of each alter's own personality and color(s) that associated with them
For the background information about them you can read it on their Toyhou.se page
People hold artists are such a weirdly high standard. They’re not even allowed to correct people or set boundaries without risking their entire audience turning on them.
its been rly heartening to see big tumblr accounts with a specific theme (or bit) take a moment to raise awareness for palestine. in many ways being vocally pro-palestine is far, far more important than donations right now. palestinians have said so too. if it weren't it wouldn't be so risky for people to speak out. its a war on human life but it's also a war on the very memory, culture and history of the palestinian people. we can help them fight the second one just by posting. solidarity matters more than anything in this moment.
woke up to the absolutely gut-wrenching, horrifying news that mexican magistrate jesús ociel baena, the first nonbinary person to occupy that position in latin america, was murdered in their own home in aguascalientes alongside their partner
they were very beloved by the queer community in mexico and not only are we mourning, we are raging
rest in peace, magistrade. your legacy will prevail, and you will not be forgotten
This was my childhood 🥺
Does anybody remember Dragon Tales? 🥺
