We talk a lot about the decline of comment culture in fandom spaces these days, and I recently saw a post that reminded me of my prevailing theory about why that started.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I personally stopped commenting on people's art and fic on tumblr specifically when I saw the culture shift toward creators berating and publicly shaming the people who reblogged their work for any kind of comments or tags that the creator didn't like.

I stopped commenting art when I saw prominent posts going around ranting about how awful it was to see comments like "I don't usually like x but your work..." and "don't ever ever compare an artist's work to another thing you like" and "don't tag as kin/don't tag as your OC's name."

And then came the era of artists starting to investigate the blogs of people who reblogged their work, and shame/mock/harass/block anyone who reblogged their art who appeared to have a fandom opinion they didn't agree with.

And I am not saying there were even a lot of artists, writers etc DOING this.

But there was enough, and it was visible enough, to make the idea of commenting or leaving a tag on someone's work seem daunting.

Because you never knew if that creator was going to explode on you for some harmless comment wanting to be nice and share your thoughts about it, or even just because you reblogged their art and they decided they didn't like you.

Hey just wanted to inform you that there’s apparently an account on Temu selling your art. I saw a post in the warrior cats subreddit just now of someone talking about how they got a scourge print (the headshot of him with a big smile and crazy eyes) for literally 4 dollars.

M.A.S dad have 2 forms; 1). Casual/not scary (the one in you're seeing rn) and 2). Monterous/what the people fear demon look like (also call his protective dad mode). The kids in the neighborhood they lived nicknamed him Mr. Hellhound due to his appearance and at times give them homemade snacks if there's a extra surplus of food left. Mr. Hellhound's does have a mouth but he's abit insecurity of having people seeing him eat meals the only person allowed to see him eat is his wife due to a few past health scary that was related to him not eating and causing her to worry for his well being

Estrella is an kind-hearted mother who teach her children what they need to know about the world at an early age. due to the regime's harsh laws it was a bit difficult to earn the requirements she needed to provide for her pups. both survival and educational experience barely making enough money to keep them afloat. when she was pregunta with Moonlight. she developed an rare disease that slowly killing her body that cause her to be in and out of hospital for the first couple of years of Moonlight's life. throughout her life she helps the neighborhood children with tutoring and help destigmatized her relationship with her husband and others like them to their small knit community. When moon when missing she put all her energy into finding her until her untimely death
