Chuck Jones would do layout drawings and divvy them out to his animators, who would use them as key poses.

Fifteen of Canada’s independent animators contributed to this wonderful piece, called Yellow Sticky Notes. They drew on post-it notes, reflecting on one day of their lives. The video features work by Marv Newland, Alison Snowden, David Fine, Cordell Barker, Janet Perlman, Chris Hinton, Paul Driessen and more.

Not LAIKA Studios news, but recently pictures from Henry Selick (director of Coraline), with character designs, concept art and animation by people who work for LAIKA have been surfacing from the abandoned film The Shadow King. Which looks like it would have been amazing.
