Anyone who reports misconduct is punished by the company. And the punishment doesn’t stop at the reporting person. The entire crew gets punished. This punishment system encourages employees to silence themselves when incidents of abuse happen. This means cases like Anya’s case go unreported. Maintaining a “clean” image of the company goes hand in hand with employee self-censorship. Employees avoid discussing or reporting anything that could result in punishment and ruin the company’s reputation.
